    In this weber tutorial i will demonstrate how to setup your weber baby q to cook the perfect pork roast, showing your how to prepare your pork joint to produce the best crackling on your Weber Baby Q , weber q1200 , weber q2200, weber q3200
    Whether you have just bought a Weber Genesis 2, Weber Q2200, Weber Family Q3200 or Weber Baby Q1200
    The Pork Roast with crackle is one of the best and easiest meat to cook on your weber bbq next to the perfect steak.
    The perfect crackle is easy to achieve on your Weber Genesis or Weber Q
    I will demonstrate easy to follow cooking tutorials
    The aim of my channel is to share cooking tips , reviews and cleaning tips to get the most out of owning and using the best barbecue ever made.
    The Weber Q1200/ Weber Baby Q doesn't have any big weaknesses. The Weber Q 1200 heats up fast and grills quickly and evenly. It has porcelain-enameled cast iron cooking grates that are a delight to cook on because they are non-stick, super easy to clean and maintain, and can even go in the dishwasher. The Q 1200 has a sweet, handy thermometer, and its 189 sq in of grilling space holds a surprisingly large amount of food. The Q would do well on your tailgate, on a picnic table, on your apartment patio, or as part of your RV setup.
    If you want a grill that is easy to cook on, easy to clean, and simple to light and maintain temperature control with, the Q could be the one for you.
    The Weber Baby Q 1200 is a strong contender.
    My experience with the Baby Q 1200 has been 2nd to none..
    I've had a number of barbecues over the years and none compare to the excellence of the weber q. If You haven't already you should certainly consider the Weber.
    The Q 1200 has one stainless steel burner tube that delivers. It heats up quickly, cooks evenly and leaves beautiful char marks. Cooking time on this Baby Q grill is less than expected for such a small product.
    The Q 1200 makes grilling simple and fun. Its push-button electronic ignition starts with just one press of the button every time. It has an infinite control burner valve that allows the flame to be adjusted to clear low, medium and high settings, and the built-in temperature gauge allows for even greater temperature control. This grill does cool down quickly when the lid is open though, so when you're doing your flipping, make it quick. The regulator is attached snugly, and the grease trap is large, easy to take on and off, and comes with a disposable (or reusable) aluminum insert.
    At 31 pounds, this is heavy for a tabletop grill. This Weber Baby Q grill has a cast aluminum lid and body which means no rusting or flexing, and a glass-reinforced nylon frame. This grill is sturdy and durable and will likely last a very long time.
    This grill is simple to transport at the same time. You can grab it and put it in your boot and then place it on a picnic bench which is simple enough, but you do have to carry it in hand . It is closer to average weight if you consider all of the contenders.
    The Weber Q 1200 is built with the regulator positioned directly underneath the right handle. This means that with propane bottle attached you will have wks. if not months of barbequing with your weber baby q.
    The Q's side tables fold inside for travel effortlessly, but you will want to make sure that it's completely cool before you do so as they are made out of plastic and could melt..
    Cooking Area
    This product has 189 square inches of grilling space on top of porcelain-enameled cast iron cooking grates. I love the porcelain-enamel. It's the bomb. It's a breeze to clean with a grill brush or a sponge and soapy water. It can even be put in the dishwasher. It's also dreamy to grill on and wonderfully non-stick.
    The 189 square inches of grill space holds a surprisingly large amount of food. i am able to load it up with enough meat to easily feed 3-4 people.

    if you have to wrap the pork to rest then remove the cracking first. otherwise the steam just softens t down and it isnt brittle anymore

    Is there a wind protector for the Weber, or what do others use for bbq wind protection

    Not sure what temperature you achieve on high? you had about 220C when you started and same when you finished? My baby Q is struggling to get up to 220C at all, it is a bit windy out though.

    • @WeberEnthusiast

  • @Bellakelpie
    @Bellakelpie 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    I dried the pork, scored, it, salted it, put it in the fridge for a few hours to help dry it out, took it out and let it sit uncovered for 90 minutes at room temp, dried it again with paper towel ( the towel remained dry) salted it some more and oiled it with Virgin Olive Oil, but could not get the rind to crackle. My Baby Q temp indicated 220C on the lid thermometer and 300C on a digital thermometer probe sitting next to the trivet and roasting tray. Any suggestions or tips as to where I went wrong?

    • @WeberEnthusiast
      @WeberEnthusiast  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      This one has me stumped , as when’re I do mine as in video it comes out perfect crackle . Maybe you had moisture in from being in the fridge as salt dies draw the moisture out then it sinks back in once in fridge again .
      I have a video coming up this wknd with beef that may explain it a bit better .

    • @Bellakelpie
      @Bellakelpie 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@WeberEnthusiast It was vacuum sealed from the Supermarket. The meat is still roasting now, ( smells great) so at the end I will remove the rind from the main piece and put it into the oven at 220C for 10 -15 minutes and see if that gets it to crackle up. 😉

    • @Bellakelpie
      @Bellakelpie 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@WeberEnthusiast Shhhh.🤣🤣. The Pork meat was superb.
      I believe the initial problem was temperature. I am in Victoria and it was quite windy here today. I had to keep the burner setting on “start/high” to keep the temperature barely at 220C. Eventually I constructed a temporary windbreak from an old blanket and some cardboard and that solved that issue and I was able to keep it at 220C on the 1/2 setting. But that was after about 1 hour of cooking. I think the temperature at the beginning was not hot enough to start the Crackle process going. A lesson learned. 😉
      The more I use the Baby Q, the less inclined I am to cook meat or fish on a kitchen stove or cook top.

      I normally go off what google says then then roughly 10% less is the time it takes . That’s a tough guide I work to . As I use the igrill 9 times out of 10 and can gauge cooking time more acuryfrom then
