Hi Polly, I'm sorry to here you had a bad experience diving on the UB-30. I have dived this site 10 or more times and had no such problems. Our first dive was in clear, slack water and it was wonderful (and will stay with me for ever). As a seasoned diver I have always looked for favourable conditions when diving this area. The visibility can vary from day-to-day. Diving to 50m in an exposed, tidal area can be challenging and needs planing and support. The Yorkshire coast can be the best of places, and the worst of places, it's all down to the conditions at the time. The best time to dive here is in the late summer months, and after a prolonged dry spell.
