    My Carolyn said I have been doing a little talking in my sleep lately, more like mumbling she says. Last night I guess I said out loud :"cut and feather, cut and feather" ...lol... I say it all the time to myself when I am carving....lol...guess where I got that Jordy Johnson .....

    Jordy don't worry about not having the right words, when I was fit and teaching archery I was advised by the coach who taught me to be a coach that if you tell someone how to do it they may get it, if you show them then they will know.
    Love the carving.
    Jessy has changed, he's gone soft.

    My biggest problem just when I start carving and doing undercuts and Feathering I think I take too much wood off like around the eyes in the nose when I do try to do a flower that's my big mistake take too much out that looks like hell this helped a lot

  • @John_carpenter90
    @John_carpenter90 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    Ok so attempted this today fucked by not carving the heart out first lol used to thick of a bit to line it think also wish you would of explained the lining of the pedal Center line depth more in depth lol kinda skipped that part I went about a quarter inch deep alll around the lines which I think is another mistake but I’ll try trail and error lol keep all piece and see my progress 🤷‍♂️😬

    Another awesome video! finding your channel got me back into carving and fascinated with the unique presence of every wood spirit. Thx for the daily chummy times!
    side note - i found this blog that has some really interesting info on making your own pigments for wood, it's a bit disorganized and seems mostly inactive but it might inspire you to try some stuff, the colors she gets out of wood are amazing! although i really like your acrylic method as well, thought you might see this and be interested.
