Only video I found that was clear, concise and exactly what I wanted for a quick review before my clinicals!

Thanks so much! We love to hear feedback like this.
We are considering developing/launching a comprehensive NBCOT practice/prep subscription in 2024. As a student, is this a resource you think you/other students would utilize? We are testing the waters before developing. Feel free to comment back or shoot us a DM on Instagram if you have any input/ideas. Thanks!

Hi guys, Im studying to be a COTA and I was really interested in your proprioceptive Neuromuscular function video. I was wondering if I can specialize in this or NDT or something that lets me focus on biomechanics and kinesiology?

As far as I know there are no PNF speciality certifications currently. However, there is a NDT certification that one can achieve after becoming a therapist!

so do you document 20 degrees elbow extension or -20? at my school we were always told to document elbow extension like lets say 145-20?

I have seen it done both ways. I think it depends on the norm for your clinic or practice setting. Technically yes, 20 or (20) would be appropriate to indicate a 20-degree extension deficit. -20 would indicate hyperextension.
You could also comment in the objective portion of your note to clarify if you feel like the goniometry numbers you record might be misunderstood by an MD or someone who reads your note.
      Best of luck!

Hi so my forearm is going out in an abnormal angle. The technicians while taking blood comment so. Can this later have any effect on my weight carrying ability. I wish I could include the image here.

It is hard to say without being able to assess this in person. Sorry you are having this issue but I would say that if it is not bothering you, continue on as normal.
