This is really pretty. If it were me I’d re-dye it. The back doesn’t flow with the one side. It’s whatever makes the customer happy though. 💗🌀
The back is different than the front. I’ll know better for next time. Trial and error. ❤️🌈
I guess the customer is always right, but in this case I think the back should be re dyed. Maybe with a second color? I think this is a great idea though. Great video! Thank you. 😁

I learn by trial and error. Usually each project gets better than the one before it, usually... she wanted a lot of the jacket to poke through so I got scared. We are tie dyers so we want a lot of color and color splits. People that don’t know what goes into the process of making tie dye like a bit less dye I’ve noticed. Beauty really is in the eye of the beholder. ☺️❤️🌈

Shiitake is a good color for splits. Stay tuned, I’ve since re-dyed it to have more color all over it. ❤️🌈

Of course, Kristin!! Black Cherry, Raven Black, Raspberry, Bronze, Orchid, Strong Navy, there are so many! Those were the first that popped into my mind. I don’t mean all these together... they are pretty, stand alone colors. ❤️🌈
Dazzle dazzle and Timberwolf make gorgeous splits as well 🙂

I had someone this weekend ask me about jeans and jackets. Perfect timing!
This is that stretchy denim so it’s lightweight and took the dye pretty well. The saturation is a human error not due to it being too thick or hard to dye. I have a pair of jeans to dye and I’m having dyers block. I’m not sure what I want to do with them. They will speak to me one day. ❤️🌈

You’re so versatile. You make a bunch of different things. Have you tried bed sheets yet? This jacket is really pretty. Too bad you hesitated in the DOI on the backside. It does need more dye in my honest opinion. If your client is happy then that is all that matters. Thanks for sharing another great tutorial. ✌🏻
Thank you. I haven’t tried sheets yet. I’m still working on friends and family projects. I’m almost done with that and can move on to more creative projects. I wish I would have used more dye too. Beautiful, Steph. I see what you mean about the back not having the saturation. I agree with you. I would definitely add more dye. Hey, I bought the rubber bands. They really are terrific. They have a nice texture and wash of really easy. I love them too. 💙💙💙

People rave about Shiitake, maybe because I'm color blind it just seems meh to me. The only thing I could pick out other than a gray was the yellow. That's a me thing though. That's why I more apt to go for really bright colors. What was the music in the background at the beginning? I really liked it.
Do you ever do some epic fold and it comes out and it looks great and you have no idea how you did it? I did that yesterday with some other stuff (I'm just doing yards of fabric). I guess since you do videos, that's not a problem...lol What on Earth did people do before Amazon? (guess they had to leave the house from time to time)
This was my first time using shiitake. It’s all the rage right now. It’s definitely a neutral earth tone color. It has some nice color splits. Yellows, blues, pinks, browns... I’m all about the bright colors. I love rainbow spirals! Before I started documenting my tie dyes I made things and didn’t remember how I did them, that’s part of the reason I make tutorials. Amazon is going to take over the world. It’s too convenient!! I’ll look and see if I can figure out the song I used. 😉❤️🌈
