The drill system is based off of a clock, the driller and locater have screens in which they watch the clock, the percentage, projected depth and the direction they are drilling. 12 o clock is straight up, 6 o clock is down, 3 o clock left and 9 o clock right and so on.
You’re preaching to someone who has worked on a Drilling rig for over twenty years. You lack a sense of humor. You should watch a video on how to get a sense of humor. What should have caught your attention was that I mentioned two things used on a rig to tighten and break a bit. The U shape thingy is actually called a “bit breaker” the special tongs are called “make up and breakout tongs”. Still a tri cone bit is a good post hole digger. But… a PDC bit will drill out your holes a lot faster.
Thank YOU! I have looked at many Tricone bit videos and have never found an explanation of how they are steered..... And I think that is what most lay people want to understand....

in my backyard there's a very big big stump, dead stump, but it has deep roots. it was cut down before I moved in, but the stump it's there and so are the roots, making it impossible to level the backyard.... do you think I could use a smaller tricone bit in a regular drill? I am thinking of shredding the stump below my desired level.
please can help me out? I was drilling down to 15mtrs depth and I came across a trance which making it difficult for water circulation to bring up the drill cuttings that's why I can't continue any further. please help me with ideas.
Thanks for the informative video. How can I get in touch with you? We have a big drilling project in the local area that is about to start, and we need a lot of the products in your video! I would really appreciate it if you messaged me back!

It’s a post hole diggers for 8X8” posts. It comes with a U shape thingy to tighten up with special tongs.
The product explained in the video is none other than Tricone bit! Used for well drilling and trenchless projects!
