A tip for all ladies/guys who are worried about putting this on top of bleached but brassy hair: purple cancels out yellow and blue cancels out more orange tones. So if you go for a purple dye with a blue undertone instead of a pink undertone, it will cancel out the brassiness and will work perfectly fine! 😁❤

This video is exactly what I needed to see to help me with my daughters hair. We already have the manic panic purple and know that it wont pick up on your hair unless it is very blonde or very damaged. The texture of ion looks great. I would have loved to have seen them all lined up at the end as well. Great vid!

coloristo is not 100% it damages a little bit cause they say it don't need conditioner and u need to test it first to see if u r allergic to something i don't trust them

@@sharingaann ok no need to get cynical, but vegan products like artic fox don't really stay in the hair anyway. you can be allergic to ANYTHING. it doesn't reflect the product. not everything needs to be vegan to be good lol.
I used the ION lavender with Violet Grey, mix only the two and leave on hair for 1 hr..
It wont damage the hair since its color with conditioner. Let me tell you turned out AAAmazing

For some reason when I used the ion, it came out of the tube white and when I applied it to my hair it turned it periwinkle instead of lavender :(

@@jp.9504 heyyyy! i’m using the lavender one by adore and it’s working great so far!!! it faded a lil bit giving that i used the watercolor method (look it up if you don’t know what it is) but now it’s okay again ☺️ only used 1 bottle

I tried the artic fox purple. I like how it looks on my hair however when you rinse it off in the shower and goes down your body in stains my skin lightly unless I clean it well with soap. Also when I sweat it stains the collar of my shirts and my bra straps.
I just tried the Arctic fox, in my opinion it didn't turn out well for me and I even bleached beforehand. I put in the periwinkle color from Arctic Fox, and NOTHING changed. I was a little disappointed, but this video has helped in me finding the right lavender look. Which is ion. I used a lot of sky blue from ion and it was the best. We'll see tomorrow how it turns out.
For that shade to show, your hair needs to be really blonde and cool toned, meaning it must be a platinum blonde or light silver.

The manic panic one turned my hair DARK blue and the faded so green and that’s even after I diluted it with conditioner

Purple will cancel out a yellow blonde but an orange blonde needs a heavy blue undertone and a deeper depth. Like if you lift to a level 7 blonde at the roots and a level 9 at the ends you’ll a less diluted, blue based purple at the roots and a more diluted blue based purple at the ends

Wow, those extensions were so yellow that I'm genuinely surprised that the purple dyes actually colored the extensions and not toned them.
I think it was the tint of the video that made everything look yellow at first, but the ending result clips were very clear

Same. I was shocked that the girls night took the way it did. That one needs platinum hair normally. I mean, yeah lighting and all, but platinum hair wouldn't look *that* yellow... ?! I dunno. This is super late but arctic fox periwinkle and a very small amount of purple rain makes a really pretty light blue-ish purple

Wow I'm really surprised how well the Loreal Colorista worked, i thought it would look terrible but it doesn't!
It's hard to choose a favorite but i think it would be between the Arctic Fox Girls Night Out and the Arctic Fox Purple Rain.
Which leads me to ask what you mixed with the Purple Rain to dilute the color and do you know how much you used? That was like the absolute perfect hue of lavender in my opinion.
Right?? I also thought L'Oreal would be the worst one and it looked like one of the best to me.
@@thedoreenster the colorista is a beautiful purple I just had it in my hair just keep in mind it almost completely faded after the first wash :( Im now trying to find a permanent violet because I don't want to re do my hair every week and I love the purple so so much!

Dang i was hoping this would be a dye vs dye. That being said I’m surprised I like the colorista the most! Have never tried that brand, i don’t think it’s vegan but yea! I want something nice and lavendar but it doesn’t need to stay forever and it definitely can’t be pink

Is your hair bleached? Because if not we dyed my friends blonde virgin hair pink, and none of it stayed in.

HP Sauce huh, maybe its just your hair type x (because usually colour gets held onto more when its bleached compared to virgin hair) was it by any chance the pink one? Because thats the one my friend used and maybe the formula for that just isnt good
the hair color might turned out different if your hair isn't light light blonde/silver .

The colourista one doesn't actually turn out that colour. I done an all over colour with it after lightening my naturally blonde hair and I only got streaky tints with it and nothing to the intensity of that on the extension. Safe to say I wouldn't recommend
sometimes i can dye the hair twice ..but for this film i wanted the colors to be true dying them once and this was the color...maybe your hair wasn't the same color

each direction is different but the rule is the longer you keep it on the more saturated it becomes...what i like to do is leave it on till it dries bc that's when it stops working

bad guy most of them are semi-permanent so they will fade with each wash. It will fade and not be vibrate but the hair will be stained until it is bleached back to blonde

I had my hair bleached a few weeks ago and would like to dye it lavender but in France you can only find L'oreal and I haven't had any good experiences with it. Also with the quarantine etc etc it would probably take long to ship anything from California sooo any other way?

I get that your question/comment was made over a year ago but i feel for info purposes it’s important to note that “Ash” doesn’t mean light necessarily. Ash means it has a green base. So if you have very light blonde hair & try to dye it Ash blonde, you will eventually end up with a greenish hue in your hair. Just sharing the info.

U must have use the permanent ion hsir dye and with that one u have to use a developer to mix with it. The ion semi permanent hair dye isn't white and u don't put developer in them just the permanent ion colors

no :( i did it and it worked like a toner at most, maybe bleach 1 more time

Can you give me the steps on how to properly dye hair with the color rista? Do you just like put it on and smear it then wait a while and poof it's that color? Or is there more steps? Also is this permanent?

Instructions come with it in the box but basically, you want to shower first to make sure your hair is clean and dry. Then you section your hair off if you want. Id put the dye into a plastic hair dye bowl so that the whole process is easier. It comes with a brush, personally I just use my hands and it works fine but the brush works better for the roots. Make sure you get all of your hair if you use your hands and grab smaller pieces. Use the gloves they provide cause it will stain your hands and try not to get it on your face. Leave it on for about 20 minutes or however long it says on the box and then rinse your hair. Mine lasted a few weeks, id bye a pink conditioner or shampoo that deposits more color in with each wash if you want it to last longer. Id also buy 2 boxes in case one doesn't cover your whole head as it didn't with mine

I had colorista for a long time but it always left my neck colored, and i hated that. Now i use crazy colors and i love it. Colorista really isnt that good.. I mean i loved it, but then i found crazy colors and now even more stuff i will try in the future

it will look amazing but be sure to spot touch up bc lavender needs about 2x the amount of product ^&^ so repeat the dye process a few times until its all even
