Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s rebrand of their website to Sussex.com has caused a huge stir, as questions are asked whether it breaks the deal made between the pair and the late Queen Elizabeth II.
The Daily Mail columnist Sarah Vine says the move - which breaks royal customs - takes the Sussexes into ‘dangerous territory’ and calls for the King to strip Harry and Meghan
The Daily Mail’s Editor at Large and veteran royal correspondent Richard Kay points out that cynics might question the timing of this announcement given the senior royals are away in Norfolk, as both the King and the Princess of Wales are resting there after recent medical treatment.
The Mail on Sunday’s Natasha Livingstone meanwhile provides an update on the conditions of both King Charles and Kate Middleton and the latest news on Meghan’s new podcast deal as she and Harry land in Canada on a promotional tour. The panel also discuss how the Prince William - under greater scrutiny since his father was taken ill, finds himself caught between family and royal duty.

I was watching The Crown last night & it struck me how much loss William has had to contend with, his mothers death, his grand parents death, his brothers betrayal, the loss of his brother in his family, his fathers and wifes medical issues. Its horrific for 1 person to contend with. He needs praise rather than Judgement. I think he is doing a wonderful job holding it all together.

What a jerk name Archie Sussex is. Naming their children after a county in the UK doesn't make them Royal. If they wanted to honor a county, just add to Sussex a county from the US as well and call the babies something like Orange-Sussex, Compton-Sussex, or Hollywood-Sussex. I’ve seen people saying William knew about this new stupid website that goes against their agreement with the queen. No wonder he wouldn’t meet with his brother. I feel the outrage from both countries about how they are an embarrassment and disrespecting the late Queen, Prince Philip and the rest of the royal family. According to a recent report Invictus paid for a private plane from America to Canada for these two. I thought they should have contributed to the fund not fleece it but these two have no shame.

There are examples of people in high places (Jamie Raskin, American politician), who continued to work through his cancer journey throughout 2023, appearing in public (and in congress!) looking drawn and swathed in a headscarf.. showing some grit! Hi thank you for all your programs, I always enjoy them. I have had cancer twice , no treatment after a double mastectomy sadly it came back in my lymph nodes so then had to have chemo and radiation. I didn't go to church for about 9 months. I feel for the King it is a brutal journey. People need to give him peace. As for the brat and his wife pity they cant just disappear but sadly they are trying to bring the Royals down. Thank you ,Gleness from South Africa.

William does not have to be 'shaped up.' He is. But the King, knowing how important his wife's support helps him , understands how important William's support is to Catherine. And the King loves his grandchildren and wants the best for them. He hated that his mother had to be absent due to duty. There is a way for proper balance. It is unfortunate that the King and Catherine took ill at the same time, but they both have duties to their families and their country.
I wholeheartedly agree with Sarah Vine’s opinion on “those two”…non-UK citizens might not understand how the UK system works or what was agreed and stipulated by the Sandringham Summit. I feel that it is a total betrayal of Our Late Majesty and everything that the Royal Family have stood for.
