Inflation can have a significant impact on individuals and their cost of living. As a result, it can cause negative market sentiment. It is important for individuals and businesses to find ways to navigate and potentially mitigate the effects of inflation on their finances. The current economic climate, including underperformance of financial markets due to fear of inflation, has led to a decrease in the value of my portfolio. I would appreciate any recommendations on how to potentially increase returns during this market downturn.

Stocks are pretty unstable at the moment, but if you do the right math, you should be just fine. Bloomberg and other finance media have been recording cases of folks gaining over $50k just in a matter of weeks/couple months, so I think there are a lot of wealth transfer in this downtime if you know where to look.

Such market uncertainties are the reason I don’t base my market judgements and decisions on rumours and here-says, got the best of me 2020 and had me holding worthless position in the market, I had to revamp my entire portfolio through the aid of an advisor, before I started seeing any significant results happens in my portfolio, been using the same advisor and I’ve scaled up $450k within 2 years, whether a bullish or down market, both makes for good profit, it all depends on where you’re looking.

Canada completely changed after 2015. After the pandemic, it became unbearable. There is no such thing as Canadian dream anymore unless you work MUCH harder than previous generations. You need a full time job and side hustles to make it otherwise get used to living a very simple lifestyle. Toronto and Vancouver are never going back to normal lifestyles and if you manage up buy a home and car in smaller and rural areas, your mental health will suffer because even if you have homes, there is no opportunity to grow. Fact is, this country has been mismanaged by the bureaucrats since 2015. It is officially now a declining first world country. Even Canadian born desis and others are suffering badly.

I have been staying from 1 and half years in Canada and this is exactly what I think too. Either there is too much positivity or too much negativity about Canada. The reality is completely different. It is different from person to person and ultimately depends on what you want in life and from Canada. Current situation is not too rosy, but at the same time its not as difficult as some people making so many TH-cam videos are making it to be. Its a tricky situation to be in, you cannot complain and you cannot even leave. But, if you stay and somehow survive, you can ultimately thrive.

The situation is pretty bad. Last job report for Canada showed loss of job creation and unemployment rising to 6.2% (reported, the number is likely to be higher). Canada is not creating jobs, not investing in product technology and therefore cannot hire more people. This isn’t a short term problem, and requires a multi year solution. If you’re entering in a diploma course/ low value masters, you’re rolling the dice with your future, with the odds not in your favour. Mix of immigration policy changes and the economy for the next 2-3 years means a lot of people are going to be heading home with sizeable debts. If you manage to get a part time and weather it out, you’re wasting your “productive years” which makes your value in the job market even lower than it was before. Overall, if you value your future, economic and mental well-being, and even possible PR pathway, Canada is an extremely risky gamble.

Your MBA wont help you change the field. Your chance of success will depend if u wish to continue doing the same u did before. Canadian will not value your MBA but experience.
The month you land, start networking with people. Forget about GPA, no one cares. Networking would be your key to success.
My friends studied MBA finance and looking for job since 4 months. Haven't got any interview yet.

Have you ever heard of a term called purchase power? In India, let's assume your salary is 1 lakh which is way more than an average person so your payment will be 12 lpa as per your will have to work your ass off to get a house of 1 CR in any city but in Canada let's just say you have an average salary of 60k per annum that will also make it difficult so never jump to a conclusion without any knowledge hope this helps😊@@ashokpatelk

It's time for emerging markets to grow and for developed countries to decline. With the increasing influence of China and recent AI advancements, the strategy of leaving so-called third-world countries for the Western Hemisphere is becoming obsolete. It's becoming clear to more people that the quality of life gap between the so-called West and East has been shrinking, if it exists at all.
