@hermesake Hot springs are all over Japan, They call it Onsen. For japanese ,domestic travels equal onsen travels.
The bit you don't know about these hot springs. Is that they're actually run by a couple of monkeys.
I'm honestly a little disappointed that the monkeys just learned to do this from humans and haven't been bathing in them for thousands of years.

According to the latest BBC documentary 'Life' which features the same location, what happened is that there is a social order between monkeys that are allowe to joing the spa and monkeys that are not. There is about 60 degrees Cent beween in and out. Nothing changes. The same situation as in your local golf club. This documentary mentiones only the good side.

It's may look cute but I seen a nature documentary where if you're not part of the "elite" group you're not allowed in ,, some of them freeze to death with their young. If the camera went upwards into the background I'm sure you would have seen them on the mountain as the other video I watched showed and talked about
