    Sens fans, what would YOU name the new downtown Ottawa arena?

      And the same as the 67”s need a new home as well as that place is on its last legs as well. And it’s very leaky.

    The City of Edmonton was initially supposed to pitch in $125m for their new arena - and ended up at over $300M.
    It's a fair comparison so I fully expect the City of Ottawa to pony up a big chunk. And I fully expect there to be a LOT of pushback from Ottawans. We are good at that.

      Like I said in my video, the next year will be very interesting…especially with a new mayor in town with something to prove.

    I think the lease will get dinged before January or before next spring I am not worried about that either it feels alot different then in 2016.

    I think it will happen.fot sure this.time and it feels different the partners have money and whoever has to pay for it will get worked out or figured out.
    I think to.build a building will take three to four years I could see the Senators playing at Lebreton Flats by either 2027 or 2028.

    would be the second best move the rainbow warriors Sens could do in the past decade.

  • @DBeau73

    Will be hell for anyone that wants to drive to the game. There's absolutely no parking nearby (yet) and traffic can be deadly in that area. So further you are from the core the more folks will hate it. Even if I hate the Kanata area, they were close to a highway. With downtown, they will wreck the whole traffic there.

    • @SENSTALK
      @SENSTALK  2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      I guarantee the Sens will invest in public infrastructure around the arena to make it easier to commute to the game, like they did with that overpass in Kanata.
      There’ll likely be underground parking too.
      But most importantly, there’ll be a heavy emphasis on public transportation (2 LRT stations) and walking/biking to get to the game…which I predict a good amount of the spectators will be doing.
      With the heavy hitters the Sens have as part of their bid for Lebreton, I’m not too worried about poor planning or designs…these groups the Senators have partnered with are some of the best in the world.
