Amazing video. Thank you to all of you, that made this team possible. Thank you for not giving up when times looked bleak. Long Live our Senators! GO SENS GO!
Excellent documentary. The incredible challenges in front of the ownership group were overcome one by one through a lot of passion, intellect, patience, determination, and teamwork. Kudos to all those who worked tirelessly to make this happen, and beating the odds.
This video gives more proof that Ottawa should be its own capital area, and not apart of Ontario and it's Toronto butt kissing ways. As a guy from Southern Ontario in the "Leafs Nation" area, thanks for bringing the team back, and giving me an actual team to cheer for. GO SENS, GO!!
What a horrible draft for my Buffalo sabres they drafted David Cooper a defenseman who never dressed one game as a sabre . Two picks after sergi ĝonchar was drafted
Definitely still has meant a lot to the community, even to this day. Obviously in hindsight, having an arena 25 mins on a good day outside of downtown Ottawa wasnt a good idea, but if it got us the team in the first place, thats what matters. Hopefully now weve got an owner that isnt scared to spend a bit to put together a competent team and a group of management that are capable of not making dumb moves, trading first round picks when we suck and convincing our best players to stick around. To be fair, those have been our biggest problems for 30 years and counting, so as much as I love having a team, itd be nice if we didnt have to wait 10 years between playoffs. Any complaints about fans not showing up to any professional sports team always starts with asking yourself as management, are we putting out a product that deserves to be paid for? Some markets can answer no and still function, but places like Ottawa need to give fans a reason to show up to games. The team being competitive is one, and a team thats located more centrally should be another priority going forward.
1.3 million people in metro Ottawa. A no brainer....Winnipeg and Quebec had/have teams! Bring back Quebec and Hartford! Randy Sexton went to my alma mater (St. Lawrence in Canton NY).
I don't think TML gonna allow that tbh. However, if the team are right at their "doorstep" it'll probably would work. What I'm trying to say is, Hamilton need a NHL Team. But to be honest, I don't think Toronto and Buffalo gonna let their market there gone just like that
Thank you, Mr. Firestone, for you’ve done for our city. Your legacy is cemented.

Yes. Love those Peace Tower logo jerseys. Great video.

Great video. Can remember vividly when we were awarded the team. Was definitely an exciting time!
This is so well done

25:48 bottom left is brian "smitty" smith r.i.p.
he gives the thumbs up!
You're right that's him - I used to see him jogging on the Rideau Canal on my way to school. Very sad.
I wish that the modern Ottawa Senators had kept the "O" logo from the original team.
2d logo looks way better imo
Eh too bland. It was cool as a one off thing but just doesn't fit in, in the modern era imo. Gotta have personality, the O doesn't, as cool as it is.
O hell no O means 0!. I love Roman logo and it should stay forever as it is bow.

What a blast from the past! 1.7 million in the Ottawa region I'd say you would have to cast a pretty big net HAHA

We will win that Stanley Cup next year, I will never back down to any Ottawa senators haters, ever
The team has a better chance at being relocated to another city than winning a cup. Bar none the joke of the NHL
@@TheLeafsfanTV Leaf fan, duh, I hope Toronto never win the Stanley Cup before Ottawa Senators

leafs are the joke lol
Meanwhile vegas wins the stanley cup 5 seasons in ?
To bad they have a lousy owner now, plus they completely built the arena in the wrong location.
Now we just need an expansion team in Toronto, to give the Leafs a challenge,

I agree with you. TML won't allow it but it would be exciting.
And yes Hamilton does deserve a franchise.
