Thank you Thank you I am writing a Vampire book and Elizabeth Bathory is my muse so the castle visit is on my vacation destination for 2025. This is WONDERFUL!!! Hugs!!!
Thanks so much for watching! OMG, your book sounds incredible. Yes, you must visit to get into the vampy vibes. Send me the link to your book once it's published, I'd love to read it✨
Wow girl, that’s awesome. As an Eastern European I can relate to this video. I feel the story, as if I lived there, it’s so beautiful and heartbreaking at the same time
And here we go again, one historical source says 80 victims and another says 650 so which was it? I'm not talking about the pretty lady guiding us on this amazing journey she like everyone else only knows what other historians have put forth. Thank you so much Third eye traveller for taking me with you this day, I've always been fascinated by this character.
Exactly, we only know accounts provided and they are always confusing. I just feel so sorry that Elizabeth Bathory is remembered as a murderess when she was so much more. Thank you for watching! 🤩
I really enjoyed your video! I've been to Bratislava on a day trip years ago. If I get the opportunity to go again, I will definitely get this place in!
SO lucky you were able to gain access to the castle! ☘️ After making the journey there and doing that steep hike only to find the castle closed, I'd probably cry 😭
Thank v much for this ❤ A bucket list dream place to visit. Many don't really do a good job of explaining how to get there but this was very helpful 😊 You also showed some aspects and features of the castle I'd not seen before.
Oh. I don't know about these legendary crimes. From what i have understood, the Countess was fabulously wealthy, with more land than the King. Hmm. How to seize everything from a powerful independent woman. Heresy, withchcraft, treason were the usual mannouevres but this went for sensational accusations. How right you are!!
yes, I totally agree! It's a shame that women were (and still are) torn down from positions of power 😒 at least nowadays people are realising this! thank you for watching 🥰
Great video! I made one of how to get there from the other station! Čachtice! It pissed down with rain when I went there as well, loved it! Such a nice, gloomy atmosphere!
@@ThirdEyeTraveller Me and my mate were thinking the same as we walked up, the way from Visnove looked shorter on the map! We weren't prepared either, we had no water and were hoping there'd be a refreshment stand up there.... hooray for the goft shop! And of course, being Slovakia, there was beer lol.

Great video Sophie, I would love to visit the castle one day. But in the meantime really nice to see your coverage.
Thank you and I hope you get to go someday 😍 xx
Well presented video, and a very good view of the different rooms in the castle. Thank you.
Thank you for watching and your lovely words!

Wow what a trip. Thanks for posting
Thank you for watching! It is such a great location ✨
Love your outfit btw ❤
The red really pops against the stony setting.
In the thumbnail I momentarily thought you were an actor in costume 😂
Aw thank you! Yes, I wore the dress to look a little more Bathory-esque 🧛🏻♀️🧛🏻♀️
SO lucky you were able to gain access to the castle! ☘️
After making the journey there and doing that steep hike only to find the castle closed, I'd probably cry 😭
Exactly! haha! I was sat outside the gate feeling like a peasant but after calling around someone let me in 😂 thanks for watching
Thank v much for this ❤

Thank you! Yes I think these tips help as no one seems to mention them and I was so shocked at the route up lol! Hope you get to visit one day 🧛🏻♀️
Great video! I'd love to visit this castle someday. Still torn on believing the legends. Its possible, but seems totally insane. We may never know!
Thank you and I really recommend going! Yes, I love the fact it's myred in so much mystery. Hope you get there someday ✨✨
Looking forward to visiting this place next month. Hopefully it snows. I am sure it would look even better this way :) Cheers!
Ahh it’s incredible there! I hope it snows for you it would be wonderful 🥰
I think she owned a lot more properties than one caste though, maybe this one is all that survived until today?
Yes she did with her husband! But, this is the one she visited most
Sheesh, thank god they have Estee Lauder and Max Factor now.
haha yes :)
I was referring to Countess`s beauty aids.
Slovakia i thought that Elisabeth lived in Hungary?
Good shout! Before Slovakia gained independence as a country it was part of Hungary :) but nowadays her territory falls in Slovakia
She was from Hungary but lived here she had other castle too didn't she?

@@ThirdEyeTraveller but, in 2024, , it's you, me and the spice girls. That's depressing. Lots of love!!

Amazing! It was such a cool place in the rain right? I probably should have watched your video before I went as I was totally lost from Visnove 😂

@@fartfacemuldoon5657 Yes, it was shorter but super steep! Omg yes the gift shop was good and they had the Elizabeth Bathory beer 🍻
