I actually met Mac Wiseman when I was little he is a very humble man he played the night I took Mary home for me after his intermission
My uncle, Horace Orton, was a fiddle player. I drove him to a bluegrass festival and I met Mr. Wiseman. I will always remember him.....
My mom would sing that song what words she could remember. I love that song. I miss my mom.
My dad sang this song for years and years. I love Mac’s version. Makes me a little sad, dad passed away a couple of years ago.

I have to heartily concur... I was hired by this Southern Gentleman, not once but twice... First time I played Dobro, the second time I played banjo and Dobro. It was a great thrill for me to be chosen to back up this totally unique and incredible Legend of country and bluegrass music!
Mac was a very amazing entertainer !! He is singing before the Throne of Almighty GOD now !!
I had the pleasure of seeing Mr. Wiseman in concert back in the early 90's in Newglasgow, Nova Scotia along with The Forrester Sisters and K.D. Lang. His performance was outstanding as I am sure they always are.
