      I'm a begginer (die-cutting) & I'm soo excited! I loved this video & went right over to SSS & ordered the Art Supplies dies & crafty stamps, soo adorable! Thank you for all the great tips, I can't wait to try these out!

    After watching hundreds of videos, I must tell you that yours stand out for several reasons. First, you have a soft, kind voice. That's so nice to hear, especially after a busy day. Next, you always have prepared well for your video. No unnecessary chit-chat or extraneous remarks make every word important. You always have your supplies and examples ready to go - no fumbling or wondering just where that tool went. So, thank you for making your videos easy, entertaining, and so pleasant to watch.

      Carolyn, I have to tell you that I am saving this comment on my desktop to refer back to when I am overwhelmed and discouraged. Your words me so much to me, as I work hard to do the things you mention. THANK YOU for your kindness and brightening my week.

    • @kll815
      @kll815 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      I completely agree, Carolyn! She is also great at the simply worded but descriptive instructions, which aren’t wordy, but very clear. Ty, Jennifer!

      Jennifer McGuire Ink I am glad you save kind words, Jennifer! Your attention to detail, your simple but detailed instructions, and your recognition of using materials and tools in many ways to save time and money are also super appreciated! (Never feeling like I must go out and buy, buy, buy helps keep anxiety down...) And, I don’t want to forget how timeless your videos are; I regularly go back to your older videos to use more of my “older” materials in new ways, even when I don’t think 3-5 yrs should be considered old...) :-)

      As a retired English teacher and still-practicing psychologist, I feel that my remarks have at least some merit. I come from a place of honesty and the desire to give credit where and when it is due. I'm glad they were of some help to you.

    Die cut inlay is fun... as long as you keep track of all the little pieces!! I love your scrappy rainbows too.

    Jennifer - I love all your techniques. Love putting the inlays together too ... I use Sakura Geli Roll Glaze or Aqua Lip pens when I have small areas on my cards like the one you did with the paints. They have clear and a good number of colors- it dries more quickly with the same look.

    I’m still trying to get on board with die cutting, but I will say that inlay is far and away a favorite. Watching your videos has gotten me saving all the thin scraps I would normally discard, so thanks for that. I look forward to having enough to try one of your scrappy ideas.

    I love all of them but the Scrap Inlay (Rainbows!) and the Shaker Card are my favorites. Thanks for all the Links you provided because it was nice to see the Stained Glass work you did in the past. SSS has really great dies and again thank you for linking all the items you use so we can just click and go straight to the item. Your kindness is so tremendous, thanks for helping SSS on Small Business Saturday. What a jam packed video. I loved it.❤️

    Thank you for another fantastic video! My favorite technique is still building an image by layering pieces cut from different colors or patterns of paper. Well, that and a larger, bold word layered with a cursive word on top. The die that had me swooning with this release is that paint palette and scissor set. I’m fairly sure my crafty girls need that set :)

    I have a very strong dislike for these ensembled, puzzled dies that come all metal pieced together. Good heavens, cutting them close enough that they don't leave any trances of tiny sharp, finger pricking shards is impossible. OUCH!!!!! And then there are some that I can't even fit a cutter in between the pieces. And then there are some that fly into the air and land somewhere amongst my overcrowded craft table. Can company's not come up with a better idea?

    • @jennifermcguireink
      @jennifermcguireink  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      from what i have learned, is that there is one US die manufacturer and this is how they do it. if the dies come separately, then it costs more. some dies come apart and they are from china and cost more, too. this is what i was told. anyway, i get it and don't love it either. but that is the reasoning :)
