Hey, they had to deal with his cracking up during sketches back in the early 2000s. And yes, Fallon did realize his tic when he hosted, but SNL didn't really get a good dig at him for that. I know MADtv did with their fake movie trailer "The Barbecue Bus" (Ron Pederson's take was actually pretty funny and very accurate, despite not looking much like Fallon).

I almost quit when they the games changed from "Shannon" to "Molly" but I get it now.

2k23 is fire tho. The developer changed but they know what the audience wants.
I stopped buying them after Molly Shannon 2k17 when they were changed from 2D sidescrolling platformers to the open world battle royale genre. This ad is making me want to try them out again. I’ll probably wait until 2k24 though, since I’ve heard that some of the bugs make 2k23 unplayable, like how during the grocery store level Molly will clip out of the building and fly 30 miles away if you don’t grab the bread at the right angle.
Like how they incorporated Molly's patented catchphrase "I'ma kill you, bitch!" She used to say that so many times to Will.
They forgot “You’re Horrible” tho, from Superstar. That would have killed.
She did smell her armpits tho. 😂

@@thezachman1 Molly '97 was way ahead of its time, best game released on the original PlayStation. Obviously, not the best Molly Shannon game, but the skate levels were legit.
@@ethanpschwartz I also really liked how in Molly 2K11 they let you play with all the original broadcast angles and styles from the first few games, i thought that was a nice touch that added a lot of replay value
The PS release in 95 was called Shannon, everything else was Molly. It's the little touches.

This shows exactly why Molly is in the SNL Hall of Fame as one of the all time greats to ever be on the show. She effortlessly jumps right into a SNL format, premise and comedy sensibility that isn’t her wheelhouse that she’s known for (the big, over the top characters with catch phrases) and she absolutely kills it. She’s amazing in this.
Am I supposed to know who she is tho? Because I don’t 🤷🏼♂️

I love finding stuff like this, i can use it and my son's loathing for iterative sports games to turn him on to a (new to him) superstar classic comedian. And get a evening of surfing some of her best skits with him to boot

Molly was likely working at SNL with John and Martin’s fathers when they both were born.
Maybe Steve Higgins (John's dad), but I'm pretty sure Tim Herlihy (Martin's dad) wasn't a writer during season 20 (Molly Shannon's first season. If you'll recall, she was hired in the middle of that season after Janeane Garofalo [yes, the same one who's the epitome of Gen X cynicism and who a lot of people think is the voice of Daria on the MTV cartoon of the same name. She isn't]) left because she hated the juvenile humor of the writers and it was causing her physical and mental problems).

It was funny until the treble rap “music” part. Seriously low IQ people love garbage rap music. Country and rap need to be thrown away to history. Meanwhile can’t find any good R&B or Rock anymore.
