Honestly? making a patty from scratch should double how much you make from the burger. And the cheese should add +1 or +2, as it is burger seems like the worst recipe to start with because you can get stuff like that, that won't add to the prices, but make it sooo much harder.
I think the balance change that should be made to then patties modifier is that since your burgers are now fresher, they sell for more. Because when you take a starter/side/main, those make your job harder and give you fewer customers BUT more money per customer. The patties modifier doesn’t do that, and it should.
The game would require a couple of balance patches, but honestly it's already providing way too much fun for Mr, both playing it and watching it,it has been years since a game interested me so much
Honestly burgers should probably be worth a base 4, maybe fresh +2? Because that's incredibly rough to be so strapped for cash throughout the entire run, considering the amount of effort it took.
Great video as usual! I liked the parts about liking cheese and also fresh-made patties should be worth a lil more, just 1-2 gold or so, and cheese maybe add 1g coz it adds up
I’ve enjoyed the series but yeah I feel like I’m about done tuning in for these haha. Definitely hope to see videos later with like breakfast or when there’s updates. This has been a lot of fun!
This is one of my favorite series and don't want it to end yet, but it does look like it will probably have to end soon. Hopefully there could at least be the occasional video going forward (maybe once every week or two?), but it would also probably be hard to have to continually relearn the game, so I'd also understand if that isn't going to work out. I'm glad it has gone as long as it has though, and I'll definitely keep watching any new ones you put out.
Having worked extensively in Gastronomy it's interesting to see how you run into the same problems that badly lead rl restaurants do. It's gamified obviously but as long as you keep the line moving people will be happy enough/ you practically can't game over. Whether solo or multi, this game is stressful, no question and it's easy to make mistakes that throw you for a whirl, but it's by far not as impossible once you realize that singular theme of "keep the line moving". Throughout this series your singular biggest mistake is to hunker down on too many tasks back to back that do not contribute to that idea of a moving line. As an example, cleaning 3 tables back to back gets 3 groups in, in quick succession, but then the line is standing still for an excruciating long time until you serve your food that had 8 to 10 steps of preparation in it which you have to do in one go now since none of it you prepared. Clean one table, prep ingredients, take orders, clean another table, put together burgers, serve... will chops up the time of standing still into way shorter junks so the line will continue to move constantly. ( This is obviously not an universal step by step guide, it's just an example to get the concept across) Workflow is king in this game and Coffee tables are worthless traps you shouldn't ever consider. I hope you find the time to explore this concept and see the massive difference it makes.
I wouldn't say they're useless - they extend the line, and give more patience overall that's being restored - but they are definitely not as good as Reto thinks IMO. Your other points make sense, though.
@@qamarat8366 If your goal is to just reach 15 days, sure it's a tool you can use. If your goal is to see how far you can push a run - you know, rogue-like stuff, it's useless, you will have people outside, that's inevitable. It only needs 1 person outside when he gets bogged down again to game over. Applying that concept could double or even triple his current customers and it would be better manageable then the current mess as well as give more money(from not buying tables I mean) for appliance upgrades to make his life actually easier. I'm not joking, you see it especially well in fast food were it's more about come and go. They are designed to serve ridiculous amounts of people fast, but no matter the design, if you neglect certain tasks for too long it will halt the entire restaurant for minutes on end period. From that point onward, you are chasing and stressing to reach your normal workflow again. The quote on quote game over state of restaurants. I'm not trying to be rude here or overly critizising, it's just fascinating how (even simplyfied) close to real restaurant operation this game comes and how well it simulates how these decisions/ neglects of workflow translate into the same problems.
I haven't paid super close attention- is the game coded to reward a line moving, or is a single person outside the same as a whole line of people, and the timer only reflects how long there is a line outside? I don't doubt that changing the workflow could help, but maybe Reto knows that it IS significantly better to bring the line inside.
@@Potatezone Timer starts the moment there is a person waiting outside, if a 2nd guest joins that line he will inherit that timer and when the line moves to the 2nd guest (now first) you get a bit of that lost patience back. I hope you see the various problems with that as well as the things mentioned above now kicking in regardless. I think I explained it enough. Either he tries it out or he doesn't. I'm fine with it either way. I just found the game fascinating and saw an opportunity to help with technics that literally made a whole industry possible.
@@ToothlessGrisu oh then yeah, anything more than 1-2 coffee tables is definitely a waste, then. There's still value in getting them out of the rain, but not nearly as much as rerolls or proper workstations/automation.
as a question, if you have a burger fridge in the blueprint draw when you grab that make your own pattie perk, can you nerf the perk by having fresh burger fridge?

agreed, it is already one of the toughest meals, it would be nice if it had _something_ going for it

Come to Nice Buns we make artisanal burgers at fast food prices!
when the price of cheese burger is the same as regular burger, who won't choose cheese burger?

I do wish it was easier to unlock the other dishes.

Love watching how you handle these challenges. A simple table cloth table wouldve helped reduce your work load, without the need of automation.
Way to go with the fresh patties! Really enjoying the series!

Keep it going!!!! I love this series

I would be sad to see it go! I appreciate your time though so I understand if it had to.... at least I can rewatch from the beginning of the playlist.
1:17:41 I think so too burger are the "hard hot dog" and it's good some people like to make challenge for themselves
yeah, I think burgers are _obviously less lucrative and easy_ the question is whether or not that matters, and I don't know the answer to that one

I am enjoying it thus far.
I feel like you NEED to upgrade the tables so that you can make more money because it’s hard with burgers.
Was a fun run for sure
More culinary shenanigans please
Thanks for the great content
