I'd also like to add: the introduction of the two birds is VERY IMPORTANT in their relationship! Some birds may just never get along. So this means that if you get another bird, and they don't get along, you will have to keep the birds in separate cages and end up with a lot of work.
I have lonely male budgie. I want to buy him a friend but not a mate, because of breeding problems and I dont want to deal with that because im a beginner and i'll have to go to school soon so I couldnt take care of the babies. What should i do?

If you have one budgie and then you buy another and they peck each other should I put them in different cages

It’s hard to imagine my bird being distant from me
He’s so cuddly and always sticks by me (even a little too much 😅)
He lets me pet him and handle him in ways that no one else in my family can
He always gets excited when I’m around and lets me do crazy things with him
I want to get him a mate because there are times when no one is at home or that I’m too busy to spend much time with him and I want him to be happy
But it’ll hurt seeing him distance from me

I have 2 budgies and I don’t find it hard to take care of them and I have separate cages for them during the day they frolic together and at night they sleep in either chipper or chicos cage they give me unconditional love daily
U care about bird like their ur everything and I like how u care about them so much!
I’ve experienced the “relationship breaker” my budgie has been obsessed with my Albino budgie.
I miss my bird so much, I’ve handed my bird to my grandparents house to take care of while I go on holiday and I’m really worried about her.

NOTE:
Quarantine isn't enough. Many birds are healthy carriers of contagious deadly diseases like PBFD and that is why you should ALWAYS disease test any new "healthy" bird. You have to test your bird for:
)aspergillosis
)PBFD
)Polyomavirus
)avian Bornavirus
)PDD
)Psittacosis
)Candida
These tests put together may cost over 300$.
Until the results don't come back, your new bird must be quarantined. If it looks ill call a vet immediately.

My parents have had a 4month old budgie for a month we introduced them last weekend both birds are healthy and they fell in love now my parents want to give me the bird because she's now depressed she's healthy and hasbeen with my parents for a month would I still need to quarantine them?

yesterday i got a male budgie for my female budgie and when i put him in the cage at home i realized that he doesn't have a foot😢
Seriously people have no idea how important it is to quarantine a new budgie and also to wash hands very thoroughly after handing it... pet store budgies have lots of diseases 😷

We have a budgie who we love very much. We want to get her a friend, looking at a cockatiel and hoping they’ll at least tolerate each other.
hey, cockatiels and budgies speak different languages and can't actually communicate with each other. it's great that you're thinking about getting your budgie a friend but if it's better if she gets one of her kind :) however, you can still get two cockatiels afterwards. i had 6 budgies and 2 cockatiels at one point.
@@franziska551 thank you for the response. That is great to know. We want her to have a friend for when we both are back to in person work. She is so used to being with people now I want her to have a friend when we’re away. We do plan on separate cages so we thought it would be nice for them to be in the same room and be able to talk to each other.

This is literally my situation now. I have been keeping them separate for a week approximately and I was wondering how do I tame the new bird? It is now a baby and because of the OG bird’s sounds, l can’t tame her/him. And she/he is definitely more afraid of human contact, my OG bird wasn’t that scared so I don’t know what to do. I’d be so happy if someone could help me about it.
You should place the new bird in a different area and tame it there, so it doesn't hear the sounds of your older bird.
Baby birds are also much easier to tame so you should take advantage of that before it's too late!

How to put off getting a friend for our bird
Last month I bought 4 budgies to mix with my existing couple. Unfortunately 1 male budgie die on last week and another male die on today.
Now two females of new and another couple from earlier only remaining.
Do I want to buy two more male for the remaining females ?

Hi Nick! I need your help I recently got a new budgie for my old boy the new budgie is a girl. I made a beginner's mistake by putting them in the same cage but now there quarantined. the new bird is in my budgies old cage and my old budgie is in a spear one we could transfer him into a different cage because he is tamed but she isn't so she had to stay in that cage. The new budgie is really curious to my old budgie and tries everything she can to get out of the cage and once she ever got out! the problem is whenever I let my tame budgie out I put him on her cage and she climbs up and I think she is trying the bight him I feel like she is bullying him do you have any advice pls tell me btw great video!😄

Hi, it runs like that because it wants to get out, that's normal. Just make sure it has a big cage.
3 days are not nearly enough to bond and tame your budgie, be patient and follow the tips I'm sharing throughout my videos and you'll succeed.

It really is hard to have 2 budgies, Twice the chirping twice the mess, And your birds can even MATE and then have babies then it'll just end up a huge mess, I really agree with this vid bc I have 2 budgies and truly to be honest- It's heck of a mess.
my highest number was 8 😂 honestly that wasn't hard at all, cockatiels are much worse. and they won't breed if you don't let it happen.

Whenever i put my hands in my birds cage they just start to bite my nails and whenever i try to play with them by giving some scratches they just run away tell me what to do
And then while I want a third bird for my birthday the two birds that I already have one green and yellow budgie like the one he has a green and one blue the next parade that I really wanted for my birthday to be my third bird I really wanted a fancy parent fancy budgies
I have 1 canary at the moment, is it okay to get a budgie but put the budgie in a separate cage from the canary? But when they’re out of the cage they will be in the same room, is this okay or will they fight?
those birds don't speak the same language and won't be able to communicate. i recommend you to get another canary instead :)

There isn't a real solution for that, you should take it to a vet to avoid any serious issues.

I never put a new bird in a cage with birds because it's like inviting a stranger into your home with out asking your kids do you want him here? they need to adjust

Make sure they are male and female. Are they bonded? Did you put a nest box? Are you feeding them egg and cuttlebone? Is the cage big enough? If you’re using a matki (ceramic pot) please remove it. The dust it produces is extremely dangerous for birds
