Great video from a wonderful channel. Art books have provided me a much-needed escape from real life. When life was difficult I'd set up my easy chair with coffee, a desk lamp and a stack of art books beside me. They kept me going during the hardest times. My art books are the best investments I ever made. My 4 favorite books are: - Wonderworks by Michael Whelan - Color and Light by James Gurney - Infinite Worlds by Vincent DiFate - Great Fighter Jets of the Galaxy 1 by Tim Gibson
So many books get thrown away and or ruined every day so I just don't understand why people take such offense to using them in this manner. Using something instead of throwing it away seems by far the most reasonable thing to do. I see these comments on so many of these cool videos that I just had to say something! I have books that have been torn or that are falling apart that could still have some kind of a life by using them in an art project. Thanks for sharing. :)
We are currently weeding books from our library where I work. It's sad that so many books are heading for the dumpster...So making books into art is at least something. Many books are not able to be recycled because it costs more to recycle than to just dump them unfortunately.
It bedazzles me how folding books and painting it is "art" or sculpture. If you love book sculptures, look up "Brian Dettmer". It actually took him time and creativeness.

They look fascinating and sacrilegious at the same time.

Thank you! Cheers!
Amazing works of art. I love it.
I went even further than this. I am cutting up E-readers into art.
Holy shiet! You cut light too?!

No way will i do this to my collection
This is not NEW Art. It’s been done since the 1960s
That's arguable.
The Antaya chick needs to try enunciating. Also, this art form is amazing, but don't any of you artists lay a finger on my favorites.
Is this artform for failures? Like the failed books they ruin?
lol
I dont see the logic of doing this
schlecht
I think to call this art is a gross exaggeration.
this is NOT art
