Thanks so much for touring the lovely Lopesan Costa Bavaro all inclusive resort with us in Punta Cana. What was your favorite part of the resort? If you are planning a trip and have any questions let us know in the comments. We will do our best to answer from our experience staying there in May 2022. If you are interested in seeing even more of our experience be sure to subscribe and turn the notifications on. We will be sharing episodes about the Unique experience, the restaurants and bars and our likes and dislikes.
Spending our last full day at this resort today, your videos helped us choose Lopesan unique and it's been a fabulous vacation! Everything about this place is amazing and couldn't have asked for a better resort! Thank you!
We're so glad that our videos helped you to choose the Lopesan and that you've had such a wonderful time there! We will definitely make it back there some day and we'll be so excited for it.
Great to hear you booked a trip to the Lopesan, Laurie! We just got back from a Dominican where we stayed at three other resorts. Ever since we stayed at Lopesan, we always compare every other resort we visit to it. So far, Lopesan is probably still our best experience, although we did find one other resort on this trip that we enjoyed ALMOST as much!
This resort looks so dreamy and perfect! You guys did a great job in showing it off and the layout is so nice. So many options for dining! The views are so beautiful, and it also looks great at night. Wow, the main pool is huge!!! So glad it was a peaceful experience as well. I like the sun beds at the atlantico pool 😍 Looking forward to the rest of the series ☀️
Unfortunately the sun beds at the Atlantico Pool were extra ☹ Skylar got scolded just for setting his stuff near one of them 😅 But yeah, the main pool was gigantic and super relaxing and there was so much to see and do. Definitely wish we would have had more than four nights!
OMG, guys! What a fab, fab video! You had me from the get go with that fried brownie and I loved every minute of this tour! Jamie, your sweet voice is wonderful to listen to and Skylar's video ability is great. You both did an amazing job with this whet-my-appetite resort tour. It was most helpful that you included the map in this video for orientation and general overview! Those folks should *pay* you for this one! Can't wait to see the rest of your time there. 🙂
We are so glad that you enjoyed it, Rhondalyn. We are never sure if our viewers who enjoy are Florida content tend to enjoy our other travel content as well, so we are so happy to hear that you do! On a side note... Until now, I (Skylar) never realized that "whet" was a word. I always thought the phrase was "wet your appetite", which never made any sense to me. But now I get it... so thank you for the vocabulary lesson!
I went here for my honeymoon in June 2021. It's making me so nostalgic! Also I'm glad that all the shops on the boulevard were open. At that time the indoor theater was closed but they still put on all the shows at an outdoor stage and it was awesome! I personally would have loved to try the escape room but that was closed. I miss that place so much!
We miss it too, Kae. It's the best resort experience we've had in the Dominican and we dream of making it back some day! We're glad our video was able to bring back some good memories!
Thank you! We definitely hope to make it back to the DR to do some more resort visits/tours soon, but unfortunately right now it is only as our budget and PTO days permit.
love that you made some little buddies and let them film for you, so sweet! Wow this resort has so much, the pools and beach looked amazing but there's so much else to do you'd need a few weeks there. Can so relate to the feeling of wanting to just relax on the beach with a drink but needing to film and see everything! You did such a great job showing this place though it's really relaxing watching you glide around the resort! Looking forward to seeing how much it cost to stay in the Unique rooms.
They were so funny and just loved showing Skylar all around the waterpark! Definitely some future TH-camrs 😅. You really could probably spend a couple of weeks at the place before it would start getting old. There really is so much to see and do. As much as we wish it would have felt more like a real vacation, we're so glad that we got all of the footage that we did. I'm sure you would have been running all over the place like we were!
Thank you so much for watching. It can be overwhelming trying to decide on a resort when there are so many to choose from in such a small area. While these tour videos aren't the most exciting type of content we create, we do recognize how valuable they are when making travel decisions so we do really appreciate your comment. We hope you found some of the other videos in the series helpful as well that covered the food, Unique experience and likes/dislikes.
It's certainly worth considering! We're so glad to hear that you found this video to be helpful. Thank so much for watching and taking the time to comment, Cedano!
Thank you guys for such an outstanding series on the Lopesan Costa Bávaro. Y’all were the single reason we booked Unique. A couple of questions for you guys. Do you have any recommendations for excursions? Also, how did you travel to and from the airport? Skylar, at 19:40 I know you spilled that 😂
We're so happy to hear that our video helped you to make your decision to book Unique. And yeah, you are 100% correct on the spillage 😅. We're generally pretty busy filming the resort on our trips to the DR, so we haven't had a chance to try any of the excursions yet. That said, we've heard a lot of good things about the day trips to Saona and Catalina Island. Regarding transfers, we used Dominican Airport Transfers a couple years ago and were quite happy with them. When we stayed at the Lopesan, we actually were at an AirBNB the night before and the host agreed to drop us off at the resort!
We will be posting a Lopesan video every Saturday at 10 AM for the next three weeks (7/9, 7/16, and 7/23). We hope you find them to be as helpful as the first one!
Just got back from Margarittaville Cap Cana and looking to go back to Punta Cana in a month and saw this hotel never heard of and think this will be my next spot
We're so happy to hear we were able to bring this beautiful resort to your attention. If you do end up visiting, we hope that you have an amazing time!
Just returned from Lopesan Costa Bavaro based off of your video. I will give you my honest review: 1. Customer Service-100% 2. the Cleanliness-100% and Beauty of the Resort-100%. . Now, D.R. is very hot and humid. I love the humidity. It is a natural skin detox. I was sweating buckets of toxins out of my skins. When we left D.R., everyone's skin was just as clear and tight as the natives. Of course, we cooled off in the hotel room. Problem 1. Because of the humidity, there were spaces that smelled of mold and mildew particularly in the main building, like the Valley Restaurant and walkways to our room. There's nothing they can do about it, because it is open spaces. So, just walk swiftly and enjoy the beautiful scenery until you reach your wonderful and spacious room. Spectacle- The resort is spectacular. The designer should build neighborhoods. It was like a tropical oasis. Plants and flowers placed perfectly around the compound, even the Climate Change Green-People would drop their jaws in aaaw! I walked around for almost a week, and not one mosquito bite. This is probably due to the strategical water-wall and chains of rainwater apparatuses. The constant movement of water deter mosquitos from laying eggs. Food: I am a part-time caterer. So, the food to me was average. I get it. Majority of the people there were Americans. The majority of Americans like bland tasting food. I don't drink, but my husband says the drinks were not watered downs like other resorts and if you ask the a bartender to splash on a little more spirits, they had no problem at all. Problem: If you don't speak Spanish, you may want to invest in a pocket-talk. This way you can communicate without fumbling for your phone looking for Google-Translate. Some of the shows were in Spanish, we left those shows, but overall, very entertaining.
Thank you so much for this very detailed, fair, and honest review. It's always nice to hear peoples experience who have visited the resort more recently. It's good to hear the resort is still every bit as beautiful as we remember it to be!
Thank you Ron, we really did have a great time there :) When we started making plans for this trip, we also had not heard of this resort. Even though it has been open since 2019, a significant amount of time it was closed due to the pandemic so we would expect it to become more popular as more vacationers start to hear about it!
What a stunning hotel! It's so huge that you had to tour different parts of it seperately, wow. Chia Lounge is looking so much fun! Nice that they have entertainment for teens and kids. Your room seems amazing, nice touch with the walk in shower. This video reminded me again that I need a resort vacation, it has been so long... 😅
Yeah it was enormous for sure. It was kind of nice because it made us walk a lot so we could eat more 😂. But it was also a lot of work making a tour video of such a huge property. You guys definitely deserve a resort vacation and I hope that you get to go on one soon. We're hopeful that it won't be too long before we get to enjoy another one too!
Wow, absolutely stunning! What a fantastic resort and you did such a wonderful job showcasing it! My husband and I were just in Sarasota last week on vacation so I'm a bit behind on watching your videos...maybe our next vacation we should visit this place....gorgeous!
What, you don't watch our videos when you're on vacation?! 😅 In all seriousness, we hope you had a wonderful time in Sarasota. If you ever to decide to check out Punta Cana, we would definitely recommend considering the Lopesan!
Wow this place is huge but gorgeous! I love those beautiful beach views and that relaxing pool. There’s so much space to spread out here. How luxurious!
Wow this place is HUGE! You could really spend a few months there and not see it all hahah Love the unique room class and the perks - excited for the deep dive into that!
Yeah it truly is gigantic. We were so looking forward to a break after our 3 days of hiking in Puerto Rico, but I think we ended up walking more on this resort than we did on our hikes! On the bright side the more you walk, the more you can eat!
I am totally overwhelmed by this first video. Can’t wait for the rest. I’ve never heard of this resort but I am 100% interested to finding out all about it. Maybe not the price part. Looks expensive. Especially since I would never want to leave.
Ya know, we weren't sure about it either because we had not heard of it before. When Skylar started to research he realized it had opened in 2019, but was closed for a period of time due to the pandemic, which probably contributes to it not being as well known yet. We are so glad we ended up here though, we had such a great time and are excited to share the rest of the series 🙌 I think the price we paid for the experience we had was a great deal, but Skylar has all the "number" details. I think those will be in the next episode 😬
Thanks for the video. About to book a trip here but doesn’t mention anything about unique, adult or standard so probably won’t be able to access much with standard rate
Standard can get you most places, but you won't be able to access the adults only pool or the two adults only bars, or the two unique pools or two unique bars, or the unique restaurant. So one restaurant, four bars, and three pools will be off limits.
This place is gorgeous! Amazing video..thank you ☺️ We booked Dec.3-13, 2022…can’t wait. I hope you will do more videos on the rooms. We booked a Unique club Junior suite swim up with a king size bed…my hubby and I and our 2 boys, 10 & 14 yrs old. Hope they have a sofa bed for my boys. If you know the room number of the corner swim ups can u let me know so I can request it ahead of time? Thank you 😊
Hi Sandra, that is so exciting you will be here in December 🙌😃 we hope you and your family have a great time! We really enjoyed the Unique experience. We will share more footage from our room in the next episode that focuses more on the Unique experience. From the map we have, here are some of the corner swim up rooms: 1411, 1412, 1394, 1378, 1362. I think there are more, but it is kind of hard to tell from the map. If you haven't already, you may want to join the FB group Fans of Lopesan Costa Bavaro Resort Spa & Casino. I have seen others inquire about rooms numbers and those who are currently at the resort are often able to answer. Thanks so much for watching!
@@Explorcation thank u so much for getting back to me. I am following that group and that’s where I saw you post this awesome video. I even started taking notes and some of the things you mentioned…I was telling my hubby that I don’t think 10 days is enough to visit this whole resort 😂 but u did an amazing job with this video so thanks again for that. I will also check out those room #’s you mentioned..thanks 🙏🏼❤️ So I subscribed to your Chanel and I can’t wait to see more videos of this resort before we get there in December!
@@sandrascakecreations1297 thank you so much, we really appreciate your kind feedback. This resort is so big, and still fairly new. When we were researching it to book we had sooo many questions, which is one of the reasons we decided to share our experiences. We can't wait to share the rest of the series and wish we could edit faster haha!
This was the biggest resort we have stayed at yet! There were definitely times during our stay where areas were quite busy, but it seemed we could always find a place that wasn't crowded if we wanted to. Thanks so much for watching :)
There were a few, but not many during our stay since the resort was barely half full. Now that things are getting back to normal, we are guessing that there are a lot more games/events.
I enjoyed watching this, we're considering a trip to the DR for our birthdays (although unsure because it times with spring break!). The resort seemed pretty quiet. How long did you stay? Haha, great that you found new camera men at the waterpark! 😂 This resort looked really nice!
We stayed at the resort for 4 nights. It went by way too fast! We were told that it was around 70% occupancy during our stay, but it sure seemed like less than that!
This looks like a beautiful resort! I would probably not make it to the nightclub because I can't stay up late. Seems like this resort has great amenities. Too funny that Skylar made friends at the water park 😂 My hubby would love the shaded pathways, and I'd love the wine cellar! Your room was beautiful! Love the pools and beach area too - seems like a great resort.
Yeah thank goodness for all that shade because we walked a lot! It really was a beautiful place. Skylar's new friends were so funny. They really wanted to be in our video. We really wish we would have gotten their parents permission! We actually both fell asleep on our patio while waiting for the nightclub to open. What kind of bar doesn't open until 11 pm anyway!? 🤣
Love the videos thank you! Does anyone have any info Re: wine cellar? We are visiting in January and were wondering do they have complimentary wines ? Or is it an option to buy wines ? Thank you in advance 🇨🇦
Hi Tanya, thanks so much for watching and commenting. I wish we would have stopped in to get more info on the wine cellar. Are you part of the Lopesan FB group? If not, that may be something to consider joining, the other group members who have been there recently may be able to answer your questions.
You guys find some awesome places to stay for sure. It's been so long since I've stayed in a resort like this, but your making me want to check more out. Everything is at your fingertips and there is no need to leave the area. It's convenient, so many different options and safe for all kinds of travellers and really enjoyed watching this one. There wasn't too many people around in your clips - Did you manage to film at good times or was the resort only half booked ? Those pools and pools bars would be where I would be parking myself for most the time. I loved how you said that the club was past your bedtime but still managed a quick drink - I would have been the same..LOL but nice that you stayed up for a quick drink :)
Yeah it definitely wasn't our typical type of vacation, but after 3 days of hiking, we really enjoyed a few days of relaxation (although we still walked a few miles everyday on the resort). We actually both fell asleep on our patio while waiting for the nightclub to open 😂. Thankfully we woke up right before it opened at 11 pm!
Hi, we booked the Excellence Punta Cana for 2 weeks, as we're travelling from the UK. However, I've heard and seen photos of sandfies or noseeums they are worse than Mosquitos , so I'm thinking of changing to this resort. Is the beach okay and has anyone heard of people being bit by sand flies ( fleas) Great video, too. I've also subscribed. Love the whole tour of the resort.
Thank you so much for watching our video and subscribing to our channel! When we stayed at the Lopesan, there were no noseeums that I can recall. That being said, at least here in Florida the noseeums can be terrible on a particular beach one month, and then be non existent a few months later. So just because we didn't experience any on our trip, doesn't mean you won't. I'd recommend asking the "Fans of the Lopesan" facebook page if you are truly considering booking there. It's a very helpful group, and someone who's stayed there more recently will probably be happy to comment on the bugs.
Thank you for the great review! You mentioned that you check in online and make dinner reservation prior to the trip. How early are we able to do so? Our big family will be going in May!
Our pleasure! From what we recall, we were able to book dinner reservations for the first couple of nights about a week or two in advance. That said, this was still during COVID times and things may have changed since then. If you haven't already, we'd highly recommend joining the "Fans of the Lopesan Costa Bavaro Resort" Facebook group. The group is full of people who have visited recently who will more than likely be happy to answer any of your questions.
My family’s going the first week of May, & I need to make dinner reservations for them as well. Since the a la carte restaurants are fully booked, always
@@sialee5926 we may have suggested this to you already but we'd highly recommend joining the "Fans of the Lopesan Costa Bavaro Resort" Facebook group recent guests would have a better idea of how the booking is working now. It has been a while since we visited.
Me and my wife just booked here today for November for my honeymoon. Judging by the videos from people this resort looks amazing! As far as complaints, I’ve stayed at the Riu Santa Fe in los Cabo’s where people said the food was gross and boring, but I found it to be very good lol. I’ve seen some people say this resort sucks and food is mediocre but I hope that’s not the case.
Yeah, you'll always find negative reviews at every resort, but I do believe the majority has always been positive for this place. Some people just have ridiculous expectations. We thought the Lopesan food was great, especially compared to other Dominican resorts. But for someone that was used to visiting high-end Mexican resorts, we could see how the food experience wouldn't seem as great.
Beautiful and very informative video. I booked this after watching your video. Can you please tell what is the app name to book the ala carte restaurants ? will I get email to book ala carte restaurants even if I booked through expedia?
We're so glad you enjoyed the video. Thanks for watching. It's been a little while since we stayed at the Lopesan and can't remember the exact name of the app, and aren't sure if we actually used it to book the restaurants. I think we actually booked a couple of the restaurants ahead of time (via email) and the remainder on one of the lobby kiosks after we arrived. That said, you may be able to book all of your restaurants on the app by now once you are checked in. If you have not already, I would recommend joining the Fans of the Lopesan Facebook group. It is a very active and helpful group which should be able to answer any questions you may have. We hope you have a great time at the Lopesan!
When we booked, transportation was not included. But they may be offering it now. If you haven't already, I'd recommend joining the Friends of the Lopesan Facebook group. It's a very active and helpful group full of people who have stayed at the resort recently who will be happy to provided tips and answer any questions you may have. Thanks for watching!
When we stayed there Mareus was not open during the day. There were chairs outside on the patio area, but you'd have to get a drink from the pool or lobby bars and take it up there.
We have only been to one resort in the Cancun area, Valentin Imperial Maya, but we loved it so much we went 3 times, unfortunately our trips there were all before we were filming for our channel so we don't have any videos to recommend.
Hi, I’m planning to bring my kids (14 and 11) at the end of the month to Lopesan, because we stayed in Lopesan Baobab In Cannary Island, Spain and it was a great experience. We are booking all inclusive in Punta Cana now, but still not sure if the food buffet is provided for free. I need the food and drink to be included in the package. I saw you made a lot of footage on restaurants, bars. Thanks
I think seaweed can be a problem any time of year... I'm not sure how much seasonality has to do with it though. My recommendation would be to ask on the Fans of the Lopesan FB group. They tend to be more knowledgeable on the resort.
Wooow what a great video! We are thinking of going to Punta Cana next month with a 14 months old. Is it a good resort for a small child? Also is it only the buffet where kids can go in? Because you only mentioned it once that kids are allowed at this restaurant.
Thank you so much! We did see quite a few small children at the resort when we were visiting and think it would be a good resort for them, but our recommendation would be to join the "Fans of the Lopesan" Facebook group and ask the question their. It's a very responsive and helpful group, and we would anticipate that some people who have visited with small children will be happy to share their experience.
We visited in May. Our visit was still during the height of COVID, and as a result, the resort was only a bit over half occupied. We've heard it's a pretty calm resort anyway though. We'd say it sounds like a pretty good fit for what you are looking for!
I believe we were able to reserve for our first night or two a few day prior to visiting and we made the rest of our reservations when we got to the resort.
Our family shall be in this resort next month. your videos have been a great guide for us. wanted to ask you, is there a dress code for the restaurants? thank you so much!
Our pleasure, Paulo. We hope you and your family have a great time on your vacation! Regarding dress code, most of the a-la-cartes are ‘Evening casual" meaning ladies can wear dresses, jeans, shorts and T-shirts, while men can wear jeans, shorts and T-shirts. One or two of the a la carte restaurants (I don't remember exactly which ones) are "Evening elegant’ meaning ladies are required to wear dresses, long pants, dress shoes or sandals, and men must wear long trousers (chinos or jeans), short- or long-sleeved shirts, with or without a collar, dress shoes or sandals. The other restaurants like the buffets, the Valley (American), and the fast food place have no dress code that we're aware of.
Thanks for your video. Got back on October 11th and enjoyed our Unique experience. Beautiful resort! But....VERY NOISY! Music was blaring from the bar behind us, the main pool to the right of us and at least three party/exursion boats blaring their music 100 yards away. Then you have the occasional vendor with the boom box and the noisy parrots. I couldn't sleep on the beach once. Relaxing of the body but not the mind unfortunately. You wake up and one or more bar stereos are blasting at 9am in the morning! I was hoping to go for morning walks in the peace and quiet of the resort's landscape! Nope! Do not go here if you are looking to truly relax.
Sorry to hear about your experience. We spent a lot of time in the Adults Only area, as we found that area to be quiet and most relaxing. But we do recall a lot of noise out on the beach and closer to the main pools. Most of the time we don't mind the music, but there's definitely times where we just want peace and quiet and it's unfortunate that you weren't able to find that.
@@Explorcation We are all about the beach and the ocean. The thought of spending all that money to sit at a pool didn't appeal to us; to each his own. Your video was well done and served us well regardless!
Thanks so much for watching, we stayed in a Unique room and it did have an iron and ironing board. There is more of our room tour in this episode th-cam.com/video/6Kx7YN8UN6g/w-d-xo.html (if you haven't found it already).
While we don't recall the details of the casino, we would recommend that you join the "Fans of the Lopesan" FB group. It's a very active and helpful group, with many members (who've been there more recently than us) who would likely be happy to answer your casino question as well as any others you may have. Thanks for watching.
Yes, the ice cream and the coffee are both included. There was some Dominican food on the buffets, but I don't recall there being a Dominican restaurant.
@Explorcation thznk you so much. I'm Dominican and I miss the food. I'll probably go outside the resort for some local food. Love the channel. Thank you for the update! The kids will love this
@@Rotvic17 we hope you have a great trip! There is a restaurant on the beach very close to the resort too. We also went to Bahia Principe and that resort had a Dominican Restaurant when we were there, it was delicious! We hope you are able to find some authentic food!
Is it a long walk to the beach & other areas of this resort? HOW’s the FOOD, both BUFFET & A la carte? Also, I heard that guests are unable to get a reservation, with the A la carte restaurants, FOR THE DURATION OF THEIR STAY, SINCE THEY WERE ALL FULLY BOOKED.
It depends on the type of experience you are looking for. During our experience we thought it was a very relaxing resort with a lot of options of things to do. But I wouldn't describe it as a very romantic resort as it is a family friendly resort. If you have any other questions we can help with let us know! Thanks for watching :)
We saw a few children around 1 our younger on our stay. Do to the lack of crowds, abundance of shaded areas, and over quiet atmosphere at this resort, I think it would be quite good for a family with a one year old. One concern would be that the resort is quite large and spread out with no golf cart transportation, so you likely will have to do quite a bit of walking. The paths are very well maintained though.
It did feel quite empty when we visited, but it was during the height of COVID and it was only around half full. We're not sure how empty it feels when it's at full capacity.
My trip is coming up next week! I was wondering if we make the reservations for the restaurants when we arrive or is there an option to do it in advance?
Thanks so much for touring the lovely Lopesan Costa Bavaro all inclusive resort with us in Punta Cana. What was your favorite part of the resort?

Awesome. Booked on Saturday for late February ‘25. Wish I would have watched your video before. 😰. Can’t wait.
Great to hear you booked a trip to the Lopesan, Laurie! We just got back from a Dominican where we stayed at three other resorts. Ever since we stayed at Lopesan, we always compare every other resort we visit to it. Thank you! We definitely hope to make it back to the DR to do some more resort visits/tours soon, but unfortunately right now it is only as our budget and PTO days permit.
Wow, nice reviews and for now, my first choice for this summer family vacations
Thank you so much! We're glad you enjoyed the video and are so happy to hear that you are considering the Lopesan for your family vaca!
You guys helped so much! I hear great this about this resort I can't wait until next month!
We're glad to hear you found this video to be helpful, and we hope you have a great time at the Lopesan!
Good to see you guys are still traveling and enjoying life! Sure looks like a beautiful vacation spot and a very enjoyable area!
Welcome back! Yeah, it was a really nice vaca spot. We really enjoyed it! Hope you have been doing well.
love that you made some little buddies and let them film for you, so sweet!
That Rum drink at 19:40 was huge!
Yeah... it wasn't the only time Skylar got overserved at the Lopesan. Thankfully he can still run the camera pretty well when he's a bit tipsy 😅
Beautiful footage, . Well done video, an excellent production .👍
Thank you so much, the resort was so gorgeous it made capturing pretty footage very easy!
Thank you for promoting my country. DR has it all.
Our pleasure, Jorge. It's very easy to promote such a beautiful place!
Great video guys! We have so many resorts in Punta Cana is nice to see a well done video like this to help us make a decision :)
Considering this hotel for my family next vacation. Thanks for this video, was very helpful.
It's certainly worth considering! We're so glad to hear that you found this video to be helpful. Thank so much for watching and taking the time to comment, Cedano!
Looking for resort in punta cana. Your video helped. We booked this for spring break.
That's awesome! We're really glad to hear our video helped you to decide where to spend your spring break. We hope you have an awesome time!
So thinking of the + and - how was your stay? What room category did you stay at?
Phenomenal video tour!!! Thank you. 💜💜💜
Thank you so much for the kind comment!
Thanks for this video. I will definitely be booking this resort for my wife and I.
YW, it sure it a beautiful property. We hope you have a great time when you visit :)
Please post more I’m going in August! This is so helpful
We will be posting a Lopesan video every Saturday at 10 AM for the next three weeks (7/9, 7/16, and 7/23). We hope you find them to be as helpful as the first one!
Looking forwards to be there in the end of october. thank you so much for the tour! the main pool looks amazing, aswell the beach!
That's so exciting. We hope you enjoy your stay at the Lopesan as much as we enjoyed ours!
How did your October trip compare to how the hotel is represented? We’re going in March!
Never heard of this place but it is beautiful. Hope you had a great time
Thank you Ron, we really did have a great time there :) When we started making plans for this trip, we also had not heard of this resort.
Great review. Thanks and subbed
We're glad you enjoyed the video, Brain. Thanks so much for the sub and for taking the time to comment!
I'm so happy for your beautiful channel.
Thanks, Scully. Growing a little more every day 🙂. We just need to keep finding ways to make it better!
Looks like quite an amazing place to stay. I'd be hanging by the pool!
Amazing is a great way to describe it, and you'd have plenty of pools to chose from!
Brilliant video. Great walk around ❤
Thank you so much. It's so fun to film such a beautiful resort!
Wow this place is huge but gorgeous! I love those beautiful beach views and that relaxing pool. There’s so much space to spread out here. How luxurious!
It was soo big, we sure could have stayed here an extra couple of days 😆
Thanks so much for watching!
This looks amazing!
Thanks for the extremely helpful videos. My girlfriend and I cant wait for our trip in october. :)
We're so happy to hear that you found the series to be helpful. We hope you have an amazing time at the Lopesan in October!
Hi!
How was your trip?
How would you rate this resort?
Wow this place is HUGE! You could really spend a few months there and not see it all hahah
Love the unique room class and the perks - excited for the deep dive into that!
Yeah it truly is gigantic. We were so looking forward to a break after our 3 days of hiking in Puerto Rico, but I think we ended up walking more on this resort than we did on our hikes! On the bright side the more you walk, the more you can eat!
@@Explorcation haha I can imagine!! And yessss that math checks out hahaha
@@krystalanderic hahahaha
Oh wow amazing 😊👌
Thanks a lot 😊
Wow. It’s like a dream city.
It really is, Juan. Thank so much for watching and taking the time to comment!
Thank you this was awesome!
Our pleasure! Thank you for watching and for taking the time to comment.
We just returned back from Lopesan Resort!!!! Loved them. 💜💜💜
We're glad to hear you had a great time. Thanks for watching!
Hi!
What did you like about it?
What did you dislike?
Thanks so much for sharing
Thanks for watching!
I think those will be in the next episode 😬
so helpful and efficient!
Thanks so much, Claire. That's exactly what we were going for!
Awesome video! We are considering booking for this summer! We’re all the bars and restaurants (and gelato place) at the boulevard included? Thaanks!
That's awesome. We hope you have a great time if you decide to book. And yes, it was all included!
This place is gorgeous!
Amazing video..thank you ☺️
We booked Dec.3-13, 2022…can’t wait.
I will also check out those room #’s you mentioned..thanks 🙏🏼❤️
So I subscribed to your Chanel and I can’t wait to see more videos of this resort before we get there in December!
That place is huge! looked empty too, good pick.
This was the biggest resort we have stayed at yet! There were definitely times during our stay where areas were quite busy, but it seemed we could always find a place that wasn't crowded if we wanted to. Thanks so much for watching :)
Great Video. You didn't mention whether there were any beach or pool games/events.
There were a few, but not many during our stay since the resort was barely half full. Now that things are getting back to normal, we are guessing that there are a lot more games/events.
Amazing video! What is in the All inklusive? Ice cream? Bowling?
The ice cream shop is included, but the bowling is an extra charge. Thanks so much for watching!
Looks incredible 😍 so jealous
It really was an amazing resort, I wish we could have stayed a few more days 😀
Thanks so much for watching!
Great video guys 🙌🙌
Thank you so much 😀
I enjoyed watching this, we're considering a trip to the DR for our birthdays (although unsure because it times with spring break!).
This resort is SUPER EXPENSIVE & THE BOWLING & ARCADE IS NOT FREE.
SO SUCKS FOR THE RIDICULOUS PRICE!
@@Explorcation omg....11pm.... not sure i would have stayed up that long 🤣🤣
@@AquariusTraveller LOL we were quite surprised that it opened so late!
Hi, we booked the Excellence Punta Cana for 2 weeks, as we're travelling from the UK.
However, I've heard and seen photos of sandfies or noseeums they are worse than Mosquitos , so I'm thinking of changing to this resort.
Is the beach okay and has anyone heard of people being bit by sand flies ( fleas)
Great video, too.
Great review. No music at all by the main pool?
Thanks so much for watching. During our stay they played chill music in the mornings and in the afternoons they played more upbeat music.
You had me at the Ipanema shop lol
That was actually the first one we'd ever seen, but it is a really cool store!
Thanks for the video! Which month did you go? Was the ocean water cold or warm?
We went in May. The water was refreshing and comfortable. Warm enough, but not too warm.
Good morning. What month did you go to Lopesan. I'm curious because not alot of seaweed in the beach. Thank
We went in May and there was very little seaweed thankfully.
Hi. Did you have an issue with the AC in the room?
Nope, we didn't have any issues with the AC.
@@Explorcation Thank you. This was helpful.
I may have missed it. What month did you visit this locations. Thanks!
We visited in May of 2022. Thanks for watching!
Hello 👋 we are considering Booking this Beautiful Resort...
Question; do they Prove Transportation to/from the Airport? We are Booking The Unique Room
Outside maraus during the day can you get a drink there and relax ?
When we stayed there Mareus was not open during the day. There were chairs outside on the patio area, but you'd have to get a drink from the pool or lobby bars and take it up there.
@@Explorcation
Thanks
Hi. Does the lopesan have a swim up bar?
No, there was no swim-up bar on the property when we visited.
@@Explorcation ok tks. what view did you have for your room pool or ocean?
Where is this located? J
I love watching from my balcony in dry, arid northern Arizona!!!
J
It is in Punta Cana, Dominican Republic. Definitely a little different than Arizona weather!
Drop you have any recommendations for resorts with these same amenities in Cancun Mexico?
Thanks
Hello, Athena. The food and drinks are indeed included with all stays at the Lopesan Costa Bavaro. The only food that costs extra is the lobster.
@@Explorcation thank you so much! 🙏
@@athenacruz2836 YW 🙂
We are going in November is seaweed a problem then?
I think seaweed can be a problem any time of year... I'm not sure how much seasonality has to do with it though. My recommendation would be to ask on the Fans of the Lopesan FB group. They tend to be more knowledgeable on the resort.
Wooow what a great video! We are thinking of going to Punta Cana next month with a 14 months old. Is it a good resort for a small child?
Also is it only the buffet where kids can go in? Because you only mentioned it once that kids are allowed at this restaurant.
Forgot to mention that it will be our first time in DR.
Thank you so much! We did see quite a few small children at the resort when we were visiting and think it would be a good resort for them, but our recommendation would be to join the "Fans of the Lopesan" Facebook group and ask the question their. It's a very responsive and helpful group, and we would anticipate that some people who have visited with small children will be happy to share their experience.
what month did you guys visit? We are looking to go in June but it looks like a pretty calm resort. we want to relax but also turn up some of the time
We visited in May. Our visit was still during the height of COVID, and as a result, the resort was only a bit over half occupied. We've heard it's a pretty calm resort anyway though. We'd say it sounds like a pretty good fit for what you are looking for!
When are you able to reserve A LA CARTE RESERVATIONS?
I believe we were able to reserve for our first night or two a few day prior to visiting and we made the rest of our reservations when we got to the resort.
Tanks it’s help me to make my choice 😉
That's great! We're glad you found the video to be helpful.
Can I upgrade to unique member if I didn’t book a unique room? I am just wondering if I can stay in my room but have the unique perks.
We've heard that you can, but we haven't tried it ourselves. Thanks for watching.
do you still get access to the lunge and pub with the standard room?
Yes, everyone has access to the club/lounge, the pub, and the sports bar.
Are restaurants and drinks included in the all-inclusive price or do you have to pay extra?
ple answer me😊
Yes, they are included. Thanks for watching.
How was your stay? Was also thinking of coming here with our family. Thanks!
Do they have an iron and ironing board in the rooms
Thanks so much for watching, we stayed in a Unique room and it did have an iron and ironing board. There is more of our room tour in this episode th-cam.com/video/6Kx7YN8UN6g/w-d-xo.html (if you haven't found it already).
Please can you tell me if there is any evening entertainment
When we visited there was always nightly entertainment.
How big is the casino? What games do they have?
While we don't recall the details of the casino, we would recommend that you join the "Fans of the Lopesan" FB group. It's a very active and helpful group, with many members (who've been there more recently than us) who would likely be happy to answer your casino question as well as any others you may have. Thanks for watching.
Do they offer Dominican food and is the ice cream and coffee shop included in the price?
@Explorcation thank you I will Definitely check that restaurant on the beach out. Thank you for the response and love your in depth videos.
Would you recommend this resort for a honeymoon? Is it a fairly lively resort yet still relaxing?
It depends on the type of experience you are looking for. During our experience we thought it was a very relaxing resort with a lot of options of things to do. But I wouldn't describe it as a very romantic resort as it is a family friendly resort. If you have any other questions we can help with let us know! Thanks for watching :)
Would you say this is a good family resort? We have a 1 year old. Any other family/kids resort recommendations for Punta Cana?
We saw a few children around 1 our younger on our stay. Do to the lack of crowds, abundance of shaded areas, and over quiet atmosphere at this resort, I think it would be quite good for a family with a one year old. One concern would be that the resort is quite large and spread out with no golf cart transportation, so you likely will have to do quite a bit of walking. The paths are very well maintained though.
I read a few reviews that the resort feels very empty. Is this the case ?
It did feel quite empty when we visited, but it was during the height of COVID and it was only around half full. We're not sure how empty it feels when it's at full capacity.
Do they have beach service and pool side service?
Yes, during our visit they had both for Unique guests. Not sure about standard guests though.
Wow this place is huge.. not sure if my kids can keep up. It’s too bad things are not more on a direct path. Seems to cut in and out to find things.
Yes, it really is massive. Yeah, the winding paths definitely do make the walks longer, but at least they are beautiful!
My trip is coming up next week! I was wondering if we make the reservations for the restaurants when we arrive or is there an option to do it in advance?
We were able to make a couple reservations over the phone prior to arrival. The rest we reserved up on arrival. We hope you have a great time!
