    Someone correct me if I’m wrong but they all met while attending Berkeley College of music. It’s no wonder that this a great composition. The drummer was also a touring drummer for Vital Remains. For those that might not know, it’s very intense and impressive drumming. The singer plays piano as well. They’re all really good musicians.

    Love this band! I'm following the Tour on Herman's Twitch and she is ripping souls apart every single night! And Adrienne is such a sweet lady in person too. Their songs "Lightbringer" and "Drowner of Worlds" is probably my favorites. From the bands on the tour, I must say Visions of Atlantis is the best in my mind, Seven Spires is a very very close second though. BTW I'm surprised how much Adrienne sounds like Shagrath from Dimmu Borgir

    Adrienne Cowen is getting a reputation and a lot of work singing for Avantasia, Masters of Ceremony, and on Magnus Karlsson's albums! She writes the symphony parts, composition was her major at Berkley College of Music where the band met. They are all absolutely incredible musicians! Its still hard to believe those vocals come out of a women that if she is 5'2" I'd be surprised and actually has a very soft and kind nature about her, but those looks, yeah I feel ya, lol! I have met them and talked to them quite a bit after I saw them and am a huge fan. I checked them out months before I saw them open for Dragonforce and was just hooked! good band, but the fake one key symphony backing is too prominent in the mix, like nearly all of the bands that play a similar style to this.
    they could sound SO much better if the real instruments weren't "playing second fiddle" to instruments that aren't even really there.
    it's just my opinion, but i doubt i'm the only one that feels this way.
    Thanks for the content!

      It's a studio recording,get over it. So sick of all of these people critical of bands and music they wouldn't be able to do themselves. I'm just an old school metalhead from the 80s that's heard it all before. This great new black metal from a band that hasn't been around for that long. Want something different? Go to the next track! These guys do a bit of everything, all on the same album,as with all their albums.

    that sux hear i was thinking this sounds good nice intro nice guitar and drums nice soft tones thinking im gonna get some nice dynamic "singing" then they ruin it by turn it in to un original low talent growling then i thought maybe they'll have a little growling then some really good vocals but no they continue ruining it by not actually singing in nice clean tones like epica or nightwish or any number of real epic singers and just growl some more such a downer on an otherwise instrumentally nice song

    • @LJEssex
      @LJEssex 2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      I find it interesting that you call growling "low-talent" while also mentioning Epica...who has Mark Jansen...who also does growls. Also, growling takes proper breath support and knowing how best to utilize it in order to get the desired tone. It seems easy enough, but it's far from being "low-talent". You really have to know what you're doing in order to not fuck up your voice (and Adrienne has a video describing how she does it, and it's done in a way that doesn't harm her voice).
      If you insist on clean vocals, however, there are other songs like Succumb, Bury You, Lightbringer, and Fall with Me that don't have any harsh vocals (Lightbringer TECHNICALLY does, but those are near the end of the song and are more of an underlying tone). This band is excellent, and I've had the pleasure of meeting them at their Fort Wayne show. They're not only incredible musicians but are also great people. I urge you to give them a proper chance.
