    The X-pan images are fantastic - lovely photos. The film sometimes seemed to lack contrast but in other shots it looks great. Thanks for all your hard work!

    Hey bro.... Just a suggestion (well something I would really want to see) Why don't you make a video with your workflow (develop and scan) the film shot on the x-pan.. Nice videos...

    Ed! I loved this one! The shot from the bridge of the boats and people along the canalside made me gasp and say oh my God out loud--so beautiful. The music was perfect too. Great job by Fran capturing the process. What a talented team you make.

    Really like the look of the X-Pan.. something about that extra wide cinematic crop always looks very good and interesting. Never heard of that film, either, but from what you show it looks good. Keep up the great work and series.

    Love the look the x-pan gives! Can't say I'm a fan of Fomo200 (based on shooting it myself, more than your shots). I'd be very interested to see what the camera could do with a roll of Cinestill 800T - the panoramic format should add to the movie-scene vibe.

  • @aslanjason3000
    @aslanjason3000 8 ปีที่แล้ว

    Greetings my friend! Xpan is a very fascinating piece of camera, I am glad you are enjoying your time with it. I've been shooting Xpan for a while too, and I notice the film winding sound after every picture I take, which is the same noise it makes when the film canister was put in. Every time I take a picture, there will be a shutter sound, followed with the film winding sound, which can be pretty noticeable sometimes. I don't meet a lot of people nowadays using this camera anymore, and there aren't a lot of information regarding the camera online, so I am wondering if the same goes for your camera as well?

    • @edpavez
      @edpavez  8 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      when you load the film, the camera takes the film out and every time you take a picture, it loads the film back into the canister, so in case the back of the camera opens, you don't lose your images. that's the reason why you hear the winding: it's storing your photos securely. :)

    • @aslanjason3000
      @aslanjason3000 8 ปีที่แล้ว

      Right, that's what I thought too. However the noise does get louder as time goes on, so I do wonder if I should lubricate some parts. Hopefully it will work for a few more years before it self destructs and blows in my face... But thanks mate! Nice jacket by the way! =)

      +Abraham Jacobson I had a Fuji X100, sold it and then got an X100S the week it came out. I sold it too. I just can't like the Fuji color. I'm too used to my old M8. If I can get my hands on a Fuji, I would shoot a video with it for sure. Thanks for watching, Abraham!

    Hola, me encantan tus vídeos y pues se que no tienes mucho tiempo, pero si no es molestia me gustaría hacer una pequeña petición, podrías hablar de los films que utilizas? no se algo similar al que hiciste de la Bessa R3, ya que en los Shoot film (como en este) a veces mencionas que sera tu primera vez con ese film y posteriormente no comentas nada más y pues es un tema que me interesa muchas gracias :-) por todos los videos, tus fotos son maravillosas y te admiro mucho (especialmente el como tomas las fotos como si nada cuando yo muero de vergüenza cuando lo intento) Gracias por tu atención

    I love Amsterdam, really wanna go back. Great video and photos on a cool camera. Ed just out of interest... are these photos straight out the camera or do you tweak them much? I have found i cant get my pictures to look so great unless i scan the film then de-saturate it in Photoshop then mess with the curves and contrast a bit.

      Gotta remember that he's showing us all 14 shots, most of the greats would get 1 keeper per 36 exposure roll, if not less, and the work we see is their best over years of doing it.

    ESTIMADO EDUARDO ME HE CONVERTIDO EN UN FANATICO DE TUS VIDEOS RÁPIDAMENTE GRACIAS POR COMPARTIR TUS CONOCIMIENTOS CON TODOS NOSOTROS ESTOY SEGURO NOS FALTA MUCHO MÁS QUE VER DE TI. AL VER ESTE VIDEO Y OTROS MÁS HECHOS ACERCA DE LA HASSELBLAD X-PAN ME HA SURGIDO UNA PREGUNTA... PODRÍAS COMPARTIR TU OPINIÓN ACERCA DE CÓMO HACER EL SCANEO DE NEGATIVOS PANORÁMICOS?
    YO TENGO UNA CÁMARA PANORÁMICA DE 35 mm DE MENOS CALIDAD CLARAMENTE PUESTO QUE ES UNA LOMO. HE TRATADO DE SCANEAR MIS NEGATIVOS SIN ÉXITO DADO A QUE MI SCANNER AUTOMÁTICAMENTE CORTA LA IMAGEN A LO QUE SERÍA UN SOLO CUADRO EN LUGAR DE PERMITIR QUE EL LARGO DE LOS DOS CUADROS APAREZCA COMO UNA SOLA IMAGEN. ESTOY UTILIZANDO UN EPSON V600.
    COMO LE PUEDO HACER UN “BYPASS” A ESTE PROBLEMA O MEJOR AÚN, COMO ES QUE TU TE LAS ARREGLAS PARA SCANEAR LOS TUYOS EN FORMA COMPLETA??
    DE ANTEMANO MUCHAS GRACIAS ADELANTE CON TU TRABAJO Y QUE SIGAS TENIENDO ÉXITO!
    -Nep

    • @edpavez
      @edpavez  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Usando el software de Epson, escoge el modo "profesional" de escaneo y la opción por zona. Tomas la herramienta de selección, escoges la zona y le das a escanear. Repites el proceso en cada una de las fotos. Lee el manual, ahí está toda la info! Toma tiempo, pero es la única manera de escanear panorámicas en el V600. :)
