The people you saw having a picnic are actually domestic workers that many singapore households hire from Indonesia, Myammar, Philippines, India and Sri Lanka. Sundays are their off days. And that’s the day they gather with their fellow countrymen to catch over a pinic with their own local food.
That's also what I know too just like in Hong Kong with Filipinos, like it's their day off meeting with fellow OFWs (usually domestic workers). That being said the ones they interviewed don't look like typical Filipinos, so I was not sure.

You know what Malaysia and Singapore is so friendly, we will have lonly one immigration checkpoint if Malaysians and Singaporeans were to cross the border by land once the crossing is complete with a new RTS - train Link due to be completed by the end of the year. Probably after the EU we will be the other region one day where there will be no need of passports to cross our borders, I am even expecting for a greater plan for a Singapore and JB metropolitan area one day. Malaysia and Singapore peaceful together, we are family - no bombs, no killings, beautiful countries, progressive, green and we are all asians, differents asians but beautiful, diverse but one. Yes have a few disagreement but nothing big, we have always worked together.
I think Singapore is not a good country in several aspects. For example, the cost of living is expensive there. Many Singaporeans are stressed. The people of Malaysia, Indonesia and Brunei are happier and not jealous of the people of Singapore.

Asian cultures and Jewish culture esteem learning, family co-operation, long-term thinking, etc. They have a lot of similarities. I call Western culture "death culture" because of the violence, drug use, homelessness, and most importantly, Western people are not having children because in Western culture children are a burden and they are treated as such. This is something you only find in dying cultures.
I agree especially in the US the family collective is very rare and I do believe it is contributing to the lonliness problem they have...I do think the extreme is also too much (see East Asian countries) but a balance of a collective and individual identity is the healthiest relationship way IMO.

I agree especially in the US the family collective is very rare and I do believe it is contributing to the lonliness problem they have...I do think the extreme is also too much (see East Asian countries) but a balance of a collective and individual identity is the healthiest relationship way IMO.
