How will the Los Angeles Dodgers perform in 2024?
Few have accepted a town as a second hometown as Adam Jones did with Baltimore. Extremely class act, and a wonderful representative for the game. Thanks Cap10.
The Dodgers are going to finish really well. Im excited to see them hit the field. I think there will be a little bit of a transition from NPB to MLB for Yoshi but he will be great. I cannot WAIT to see Shohei in a real game as a Dodger though. He will have a MONSTER season. With Freddie and Teoscar batting behind him I would not be at all surprised to see him hit 80 Homeruns.
Every time I see an interview with Adam Jones I like him more. What a unique dude, in an absolutely positive way.
He's great!
dang it, a rare observation by adam jones regarding the oh-factor: #17 no longer is pressured to play through injuries, carry the team and will get a ton of looks at the plate with lineup protection. 2024 should be entertaining as fk but we'll see
The Dodgers will be a juggernaut for at least a decade. They will continue to win in the regular season and make it to October, but the postseason is where teams go to die.
Winning a World Series is one of the hardest things to do in sports. The Dodgers are expecting themselves to win every year, but they won’t. That’s just how the postseason is. You should take the field over any team in the postseason.
I believe the Dodgers will get 1-3 rings in the next decade. If they get 0 it will be considered a failure, by the whole world. If they get 1 it will be just ok. If they win 2 or 3 it will be a success. And if they win more it will be crazy.
With the high potential of the Dodgers signing Sasaki, maybe even for “free” if he comes over early, they are also going to continue to spend and build around Ohtani and their deep farm.
Mentionable 2025 free agents on the Dodgers radar:
Juan Soto
Max Fried
Corbin Burnes
Willy Adames
Eugenio Suárez
Zack Wheeler
Etc.
All top guys at their position, which are where Dodgers can upgrade. They will be pricey, but I don’t think they care about that.
The Dodgers have some of the priciest tickets in the league, to fill the biggest stadium in the league (which is almost always close to or sold out), they sell plenty of food and drinks, advertising on and off the field, their $8 billion tv deal, and much more. And now they get to tap into the Japan market, big time, which means the Dodgers are going to get a lot of Japan money. The Dodgers just gave Hernandez a 1 year contract that will be over $40 million with salary tax, they don’t care about the money and it won’t hurt them.
Steve Cohen bought a lot of expensive guys and went for it. He traded most if not all of them and hasn’t made any big moves since. The Dodgers just made a lot of big moves, but they will not have rebuild years like every other team in the MLB. Which means the dominant Dodgers we’ve seen for the last 11 years, will not compare to how dominating this team will be for the next decade.
The lineup is deep
The rotation is deep
The coaching staff is deep
The farm is deep
The office is deep
The pockets are deep
The will to win is deep
In conclusion, the Dodgers are good and will continue to be good for a long time.
All these words for no evidence. Just wait and see what happens, winning is hard only one team can do it. Buying one or two guys isn’t gonna assure that, especially considering how streaky of a sport baseball is. That’s why I’ll never understand the talk of “championship windows.” Truth is you just gotta go in for it when you know you might have a substantial team.
Whos your team...salty..😂@@danteandkyler7954
Adam I love you, day 1 here….you could also mentioned the Os when you said ur a padres fan that kinda stings for us ouch dawg
He was born and raised in San Diego, so he's always going to like his hometown team.
I like Utley, but if Utley gets in the hall of fame why is Jeff Kent not in the hall of fame?
Ben looks like he fell outta bed with a fever and crawled to the office.
Hopefully the Padres are competetive this season
🤣🤣🤣
I firmly believe the Padres problem was bad chemistry in the clubhouse. Every single one of those big name players were too selfish. It will be tue same this year unless they figure that out.
