Hi Adam, congratulations to your wife for passing her driving test. I was just wondering how you got on with your driving over in Philippines,as I will be retiring there next year and was thinking how to go about getting a Filipino driving license.
Thank you my friend. If your international licence is still in date and valid you can usually just obtain a Filipino licence. It’s quite straightforward. God bless you guys 😊
Congrats to Jane,, and thank you both for posting.. I'm in the process of moving to Ormoc,, have apartment there.. I kinda miss that loud hectic place.. Was there Dec-March,, but sadly back overseas to sort out my stuff.. Will be back mid June.. Take care..
Well done Jane, confidence will come with experience and you look more than competent to me ! I have noticed when I am in the Philippines, I feel safest with a lady driver who is sensible and concentrates on the road the way you do. Keep at it, and Adam is patient and supportive of you. Great video you two !
Congratulations Jane 🙏👍 proud of you and so supportive Adam hello to your lovely daughter take care always.. from DE btw... so cold here..close to the Netherlands... maybe drive over to get one of those expensive donuts. lol😂 nah.. wasting bemzin and money ... i make churros at home.. 👍🙏👍👋👋👋🥰❤️🌷💐💐
US large schools offer drivers education as part of curriculum. Written test and driving test are passable the first time. Driving confidence takes a while, just don't practice in California freeways or Manila traffic.
Congratulations to Jane on getting her driving license.👏🏻 I noticed that she wore practical trainers rather than her favoured wedge sandals for the lesson. Hopefully the water situation improves for you soon A&J, but at least you are getting occasional respite from the endless heatwaves that are affecting other areas.
You can’t beat a good but inexpensive haircut my friend. Makes keeping it tidy easier. I used to go 3 months between cuts and would hate when it’s longer. God bless you 😊
Hi Adam, did you need to take written and actual driving test to get a license in the Philippines? Is there anything special difference? I’m thinking of getting a Philippine driver’s license coming from the US. Congratulations Jane on the license!
I didn’t need any tests my friend as my UK licence was still valid but if your licence has expired you’d need to go through the whole process of lessons and tests. God bless you 😊
Congratulations Jane! Driving is a full-time job for sure. Adam, I saw a few lots you walked by in the neighborhood. Are some of those lots for sale? Wife and I are traveling around looking for land to build our simple Bungalow home. Thanks in advance Sir.
Congratulations, Jane! With a little bit of practice you will do just fine! Try not to make the mistakes that most Filipinos make, like staying in the left lane when you're driving slowly, thus forcing faster cars to overtake on the right, which is dangerous and forbidden. Adam, the best way to build up her skills and confidence is by letting her drive as often as possible. That's what my father did with me when I was 18. Every time we went out together he would let me drive. Practice makes perfect! ;-)
It’s a perfect car for a new driver as it has good visibility, size and safety features. It suits Jane well and I love to drive it too. A fun car! Have a wonderful day 😊
@@AdamandJanesLifestyle yes and very cheap compare here in Vancouver Canada it’s very expensive haircut/Color cost me 200- 300.00 dollars not kidding you😁🙂
I just watching all about life there from your videos I hope driving in Ormoc is not so chaotic like in Manila, becouse there i didnt want to drive. One of reasons why is becouse of way they drive, completly diferent way from europe way, making it by it own rules(at least that look like to me,and like my wife tell to me). For example tatay there drive scooter like kamikaza, crossing on red lights, passing over full line and so on,even his wife is affraid to drive with him 🤣🤣 But like i said i guess driving there, especialy in province is way easier Congratulations to Jane Greetins to you all
I want to add something generaly about haircut what my countryman experienced when he was there with wife and kids(wife is filipina of course). He said,of course, that they have modern haircut saloons, but also they have way cheaper ones which price was in that time around 50 pesos(4 or 5 years ago). Now is maybe little bit more,or something around that price, but no metter on that they cut hair also very good. When i personaly going somewhere where i never went i like things like that, ordinary, simple to experience all ordinary life that all filipino people live Palenke, cheap saloon, street food and so on
if my memory is still doing good, that parking lot is where the old Gaisano Mall once stood, I don't know what happened to it (so many fond memories during my short stay in Ormoc City). I'm happy every time you take a short trip to the city and have a show around it brings back so many things in my mind especially the drive from the city back to Tongonan. Ormoc has only two types of weather as far as I can remember, Rainy and Wet😁. Nice to see Jane can drive now, meaning more Lagaw to come...
Great memory my friend and my first memories of the city were in the mall and the Dunkin donuts opposite. It was unfortunately destroyed by fire and demolished. It’s now an official car park. You are right about the weather usually. God bless you 😊
Yup only in the Philippines....you get blocked by other insensitive drivers when you park downtown. Lucky for you guys the attendant was there to get the driver, otherwise you'd been stuck for how long, waiting for the driver to come and move his vehicle out of the way. Congrats to Jane and... nice haircut Adam.
It's a nightmare driving in the Philippines even after 30 years because there is no practical exam and driving test. Once they start learning there are no L plates for learners and when they get their ''license'' there are no P plates for Probationary drivers. Even I didn't have to take any exam or test but just ''swapped my license over for a Filipino one''! No wonder so many are killed and injured Everyday on our roads.
It can be difficult driving my friend but things have changed and you must have a minimum of 8 hours practical including a test on the last lesson plus a comprehensive written test before you can obtain a licence. A foreigner used to be able to swap licence for a Filipino one but it’s not clear if that is still an option. Have a great day 😊
She should be nervous. Those big SUVs and pickup trucks are ruining small Philippine roads. They take up so much room in a place with no parking. Adam can easily cross the street but a little Filipina disappears between 2 large SUVs.
Congrats to jane..,if possible just let her drive everyday for a couple of weeks so that her confidence in driving will get high....
Thank you my friend 😊
