Unsolicited unwarranted opinion incoming: The real reason Carrot Corner is the place for me is the sarcasm. Sure w/e he is a good coach and better then me at poker and I learn blah blah blah. Its the fucking sarcasm. This is not the typical online sarcasm where the person beta explains the sarcasm ala 'I was just kidding.' No, the Carrot is going to say some fucked up shit and let the adults who get it, get it for themselves. Yea OK sometimes when he goes ultra dark mode he might slip in a little hint that he is messing about, but there is a time where this is warranted. OK, back to watching.
Yes, i just made a list of the pot odds per bet %, value/bluff ratios and MDF/fold equity and learned it by hard. Its not that hard to do and makes your life soooooo much easier.
At lower stakes, turn overbets are great because rec players are not thinking "I'll bluff raise this overbet with x hand, and I'll float this overbet with y hand in order to donk rivers with z balanced range on k river card" usually they just have a bunch of high equity draws, good bluff catchers, and the occasional trap. Consequently when you do face the river donk, you can just fold, and you get tons of value on the turn, and you can just select how big a pot you want to play on the river based on your hand strength because it's the river and you're in position and he can't stop you.
dont know about the call of the overbet, at low stakes, i think low stakes regs are more likely to overbet higher equity hands because of the higher amount of loose calls, being outdrawn by random 1p+ gutter hands sucks especially oop. I don't think they are overbluffing, might be site dependant
My thoughts exactly, more often I see in these stakes overbets are really protection heavy because people hate to be outdrawn . T with 9 kicker is pure bluff catcher on the turn, that slight over bet sizing indeed mostly only used by regs. However, normal regs are more on the side of nitty/passive rather than buffy/aggressive . As for site difference, against population I probably fold on stars and call on gg.
Sooo damn good. Had a high stakes reg mate recommend you to me now im getting back into the game. Props for killer content
Jess is making such great progress already! Well done.
you can make some serious money just by folding. the fold has power

It's nice to see an obviously bright person who went off on the wrong track on poker clearly implement the new concepts.
Well done!
