What I really love is that when I'm figuring out my own projects I can go through your videos and find little bits here and there that tell me how to do what I want to do. I'm making a shoulder strap for a cross body bag and needed some pointers. Hadn't even though of making it padded, so that's an extra win! Thanks!
Never attempted to make a shoulder strap. This video was perfect for simplifying the process. Thanks to both of you. I learn a lot from the both of you and cannot tell you how much I appreciate the time to film and edit these for us. [patiently waiting for a brass #2 blade handle to become available]
Burnishing both sides of the strap with canvas, you just saved me a lot of time. Can’t put a price on that or your beautiful “give-a-way” bag! Thanks for the tip!!!!
Another brilliant video! As always, very much appreciate the efforts both of you put into your creations. As Terrick of Chartermade said, "It takes a lot of courage to create something and share it with the world." I fully believe this. Thank you both!
I’m so glad I found your channel! You’ve inspired me to try my hand at leather work. I’ve always loved leather and bags and Small leather goods! You are such a great teacher and you have such a calming vibe!! Love you channel and your products!!! Congrats on the 500,000!!
Thanks for all of the tips and instruction for making a shoulder strap. The bag turned out beautifully. The 2-tone leather is great. Thanks again for sharing.
I can't get Instagram, and I've been slightly upset by that before, but never so much as I am right now! Such a wonderful bag! It will last a lifetime and more! And it's style will last just as long!
This bag is beautiful. I can only hope to get this good sometime in the future. I’m just starting out on my first project, a dog collar tag for my grand-pup. ♥️
I love and admire your work. You are very creative and I have learned a lot of techniques from your videos. Thanks so much for sharing your talent and beautiful designs. You are an excellent instructor! Btw… That bag has my on it! 😜 Greetings from Texas.
Corter Leather, If at all possible, could you do a video in the near future on the camo bag you did?? I'd love to see how you did that "oversized gusset" if that's the word for it. Looking forward to more of your videos!
Absolutely gorgeous bag. I would love to win it. I love your TH-cam video's. Corter Leather are the reason I am enjoying leather craft. Thank you both Eric and Kayleena for all your patterns and brilliant video tutorials 🙏❤️☘️
I need a few of these for few haversacks that I’ve bought as Christmas gifts! Thank you! Y’all are the best! Too bad I’m not on IG. Good luck to everyone and thanks for the awesome GAW!
I would love if you guys could make a video on the software you use to make patterns. Or at least how you get your patterns to pdf format for printing.
How do you develop the refined look of the bottom side of the strap that touches the shoulder? Did you glue the unfinished sides together when you reinforced the pading?
Beautiful! Curious as to why you didn’t use the same colour leather to do the stitched on log/emblem on the front? I think the contrast would be extra amazing :-)
Does that double sided tape not leave a sticky residue on your stitching irons and needles? I would use the tape more but it always gums up my tools:(.
hello, your pieces are beautiful, but unfortunately i never figured out how to download the molds or your designs. I'm Brazilian and I don't understand any English, I put it on Google translator and it usually doesn't translate correctly. This bag you are providing the templates or just the tutorial. appreciate
In my workshop, when I put on ma leather, and rock to sum Metallica, Delta Parole, Foo Fighters or the Smashing Pumpkins I feel like I can do anything in the whole wide world.
In the last video we mentioned that if the winner wants a top closure installed, we have one ready - some people prefer an open tote though so we left it open for now until a winner is picked
If it’s an artistic choice, you can totally ignore me here. I have been bingeing your videos for the past hour or so. Now I have to buy leather working tools and materials. I’m sure my girlfriend will be so pleased. Anyway what I was initially saying, your cameras shutter speed seems to be off. Maybe a little too high. Generally the rule of thumb is to set your shutter speed to roughly double your frame rate. So if you record in 24 fps, you’d want 1/50 shutter. Or if you record in 30 fps, you’d want a shutter speed of 1/60. This makes things appear more natural to the eye. Otherwise it can almost appear to be a Timelapse when it really isn’t. Again if this is a choice. Just ignore me completely.
That is a beautiful strap. But the main thing I want to say is, "I had never seen somebody invest so much love and effort on a giveaway, ever. ":)
We wanted to make sure it was the best bag we could make, you guys have given us so much! It had to be beautiful :)
@@Corter what glue do you use?
@@Edward55221 any kind of contact cement will work for leather.

I do the same thing!. I also end my search with Corter Leather to make sure that if (it) is there, it pops up first, lol.

Great tip on the back stitch. I’ve really been trying to pay more attention to where I start and stop stitching

Beautiful! I’ve always appreciated and learned so much from your videos! Wish I could enter but not on Instagram

Where do you get the adhesive nylon fabric you use to reinforce your strap?
What is the nylon tape? It looks like it has an adhesive backing? Am I overlooking it on the supplies list?
How do you develop the refined look of the bottom side of the strap that touches the shoulder? Did you glue the unfinished sides together when you reinforced the pading?
Good afternoon. What finishing coating was used on the bag and belt?
Beautiful and always so helpful. Would you be able to provide a source for the nylon fabric tape?
It's lovely 😍
Have you ever made a jacket?
Great video. I was wondering about the nylon reinforcement tape. Very interesting. Can you recommend a brand? Thanks!
Perfection...
Thanks a lot
As always, gr8 video :) Keep going. I'm w8ing for next one :)
I love your videos, patterns, and clear instruction. Kayleena, your camera work is flawless, except for one thing: I'm dying to see Eric's face...
Beautiful! Curious as to why you didn’t use the same colour leather to do the stitched on log/emblem on the front? I think the contrast would be extra amazing :-)
Very nice!
Where can I get some nylon backing tape? Thanks!
Weaver leather sells a fiberglass reinforcement material
My opinion and my opinion only the buckle end of the strap needs an additional keeper
Theron
Love it 😍
Thank you for being an amazing teacher.
I've been looking for nylon tape for a while. Where did you find yours?
weaver sells it!
@@Corter It does not seem to be in my Weaver catalog and an online catalog search also came up empty. Any chance on a part number?
I couldn’t find the nylon backing on the link. Anyone have where to buy it?
What is the number on the oval hole punch. It looks to be very large hole.
I love this bag…Who ever wins this is gonna be one lucky person.
I would love to have & use the beautiful bag 💼.
Does that double sided tape not leave a sticky residue on your stitching irons and needles?
I would use the tape more but it always gums up my tools:(.

can you show the pattern for the bag

So this weird fishook thing is just going to be gaping open like that as you carry it around outside? To catch all the rain, I presume?

Make that strap a guitar strap 😏 it’s beautiful
