However, this might not have been intentional, since its original name in Rockman.EXE 3 was actually Proto. I was lucky enough to have a Wood style when I made it to this boss. The Twister charged shot tears through its defense like it's nothing.
To further this, BN3 using Omega for a version signifier is an ENG only thing, JP just uses a V2/V3 designation like most of the series So the absolute fucking banger name "AlphaOmega" is exclusively a localization thing

"Proto" was changed to "Alpha" in the English version. This was likely to avoid confusion, because the English version's name for "Blues" is "Protoman".
Alpha / Proto is always funny to me bc you hear about how he is supposed to be the prototype of the modern internet and then you finally see him and it's like "... how?"
Probably rendered unrecognizable due to all the bugs that got missed in testing (due to their source being blamed on Bass/Forte instead of being properly addressed) and ended up taking over.
OH SHOOT NEW ALPHA REMIX!!! One of the best final boss themes across all of Battle Network, man, and for the third time you've done it absolute justice! Great work as always, keep it up!
It funny to think Alpha is supposed to Represent the First Era of the Internet, but to be Fair, The old internet was a Beast of its own. Alpha might also be referencing the internet before it became public.
Alpha as in reguarding the final boss was culmination of all the bugs that existed on the 1st network is not the network itself. the bugs later went on to consume it.
Having finished up to BN 4 before the collection came out I can safely say; Alpha was the BEST designed final boss of all four games I played. Brought me back to playing Starforce. Lovely remix as usual!
MMBN 3 Alpha was the first time in the battle network series end stage bosses started to become a serious threat especially when u unlock all 7 stars and had to fight him at his peak. 3000 HP, limited to 6 panels, constantly stealing panels,changing panels type,cracking panels, a massive rocket, extremely fast gatlin gun. U still had bass, serenade, japanman. No joke,after MMBN 3 we got absolute killers in BASS GS, DUO, Protoman FZ, ChaosLord/ Nebula Lord and Falzar.
My first BN game on cartridge. It always felt so satisfying to use Master Style on Alpha. It just feels right. A certified banger of a final boss theme.
First time battling against alpha in the battle network legacy collection was amazing! The music the tension and the ending all perfect. Yeah now I know a way to beat Alpha but still a great final fight and ending. Another great remix!

2:26 This part regardless of remix is always gonna remind me of dodging the Claws and Shoulder machine guns after the beam cracks those center panels.
Easily my favorite Battle Network final boss. The lore is cool, the design is cool, the fight is great and the music slaps as always.
The scariest too, Mega Man was practical fighting a being that was absorbing his universe

海外ではロックマンは直訳すると岩男になるためメガマン（これを日本語にするとロックマン）という名前で扱われてて、初代ロックマンの設定でブルースはライト博士が初めて作った戦闘用ロボット（つまりロックマンとロールの兄）なので、その設定によりブルースはプロトマンという呼称が付きました
On a side note alpha/proto wasn't the 1st network itself but the bugs that existed in it which later consumed it.
