  • Here is a short update on the Renault 10. We got the car running but it still needs further sorting, general service and the brakes bled. Pretty unusual car compared to my usual American and Australian cars. An amazing package though, with rack and pinion steering, four wheel disc brakes and more. The R8 (predecessor was Wheels Car of the Year in 1963) Please 👍Like👍 and Subscribe. Thanks for watching.

Never liked the round headlight one. The square lamps are an improvement. Such a quirky design as the French Excel at. Probably rode and handled beautifully.
Nice shot of them getting churned out as brand new puppies.

@@markbehr88 that sounds about right. I suspect the Volvo range were built at AMI later to become the Toyota plant. Ramblers were built AMI hence why they carried the same palettes as Toyotas of the time.
I knew someone with one of the last Aussie assembled Ramblers a Matador wagon with the coffin nose.
It had the power window option and 318 licenced Chrysler V8 engine with TorqueFlite auto. I had a brief drive of it and the driveline was powerful and smooth with seamless gear shifts but the power steer was horribly over assisted. It felt like someone had disconnected it from the front end.
