I dont understand all the thumbs down.... this young man has a ton of talent, and he`s doing something with it!!!! That`s ALOT more than i can say for all the negative nancy`s in here.
Lem, you do beautiful work. About six months ago I dropped an angle grinder on my leg just like the one you used in this video. In about a second the grinder cut through skin, muscle, tendon, bone, nerves, veins and arteries. It dug deep into my leg, as far as it could go and when I took it out it was still on, because I left the suicide switch on. So, after 40 years experience in metal and fiver glass workshops working with this tool it jumps out of my hands and I would never have believed that this would happen to me. Keep the blade guard on except for the rare exception, use the handle and use safer substitute cutting tools when possible... please take good care of yourself.
VERY Talented young man!!! And I must say it is quite refreshing to see someone making videos about construction/fabricating from your part of the world, actually searing SHOES, Pants, and protective clothing! You sir are definitely a Professional and a skilled man. I have been a UA local 130 pipefitter/welder for 37 years, and am very impressed with your skills, and stunningly impressive designs. (you obviously had training in CAD/fabrication)You will go far in this world, which is very unusual for your generation. Respect!
Really impressed. I'd love to watch a re-edited version of this video at normal speed and the background music replaced with a narrative of you talking us through the build. You're very talented.
I second that. I'm a huge fan of Calem, but can't handle the wretched music track on this one. Just a little narration on some of the details would be awesome.
I didn't thumbs down but if I did it would be because everything is tacked the only thing that got a full Weld all the way around was the goddamn Caster lol
Everything in one place. Convenient, practical, and space saving! You need a sign: "Cà Lem's Artisinal Fabrication Shop and Dream Maker" You do great practical and artistic machine shop projects. You're the Man! 🙂
I've watched quite a few videos on building welding tables lately and this has got to be the most well thought out design. I especially appreciate your use of proper safety wear throughout the video. I'm tired of watching goofs that wear shorts and flip flops in a metal shop!
I used this kind of setup before, but even in my small shop I ended up having better experience having separate welding cart and table work better. if you have your machines below your workspace you will end up damaging the outer covers and the hoses and cables will be in the way all the time. But this is a very nice set-up and I will use it as an inspiration in my own build of new fab table.
Bad ass welding table bud. You can tell how much thought went into the design and building of this table. I love your lazy Susan or rotating part of your table. I know that part alone is going to get a hell of a lot of use. Really makes me wish TH-cam was around when I was doing metal fabrication. I have built quite a few tables during the time I was doing fabrication work, I could have used something like this at that time. It's been 10 years since I've done any serious fabrication and have lost my shop so I have gotten rid of most of my tables or benches. I still have my main welding table which was just a basic table that I got the frame from my Father in law well over 20 years ago. The frame was made from galvanized steel and was sturdy as hell when I got it from him. I eventually cut and welded a metal top made from 1/4", cold roll steel plate that's 3' X 6' which I completely welded all edges onto the table frame worked great for me. Being able to put my ground anywhere on the table and being able to place the piece I was welding onto the table and easily being able to weld on it was great. Especially for smaller pieces that a ground clamp would have been in the way. Having the table top being 1/4" thick worked out great when I needed to persuade pieces of joints together with anywhere from a ball pein hammer to a 10lb sledge hammer. Having all edges of the table tob welded made sure that the piece I was working on moved or bent like I wanted without damaging the table. I wish I had put more thought into like you did to make it easier to clamp pieces down instead of welding clamps to the table top

yeah. that rotating part worked good for me, actually helped me alot. but the problem my ground goin through the bearing and now it's kind of stuck inside. I have a plan to upgrade it into the automatic rotary for tig weld. with a longer shaft and puly conect to the speed control motor also i can put my ground on it.
Cà Lem That's a pretty good idea, I wouldn't of originally thought the bearing would have offered problems with the ground but I understand why now that I think about it.
Cà Lem Awesome table.............Question; Is there a spark, slag, scrap fines drawer under the table top over your tool drawer, etc?

Only one thing to say: EXCELLENTE JOB!!! Made it ONLY for you. i've got no words, it's an excellente table Bro!! (sorry my english, i'm a little rust). Greattings from another "welder" from Cordoba, Argentina
Nice work, lots of good ideas built into that table. I like looking at others' welding tables because they are each different, and tailored for the builders' particular conditions and preferences. I made the mistake of trying to build somebody else's idea of a perfect welding table from drawings once, and I didn't get very far before realizing that it wasn't going to work well for ME. Ended up cutting it up and building something different that did.
I originally made a welding cart out of one of the smaller shopping carts. I modified the screen basket and lower deck to fit my stick and mig welders and it worked fine for a couple of years. Since seeing this vid I got my hands on a low end typical welding cart and built it up adding storage and a swing out table that makes any job easier vs having to bring the work piece over to my bench instead. Now I have two welders, clamps, hammers, files, masks, gloves and pretty much anything else including several rod tubes all on a mobile cart. Thanks for the motivation, I love the idea of having a rotating surface to move the work instead of dancing around it! Maybe I’ll take on adding a lazy Susan type disc to the folding table next too😉 Thanks for the great ideas!
Epoxy some magnets on a power strip and keep it on the clamp side of the table for just in case you need to do anything outside so you can have multiple outlets at your table instead of using a bunch of extension cords...
Excellent job lad! Somewhat annoying for me though. I thought I made my mind up how to build a cart for myself, now I have to completely rethink it. One should do what they're good at. You are, so you ought to keep at it. Thanks for sharing. From Toronto, Canada.
@ what kind of band saw you have? Is pretty nice . Can you share model number and where do you get it. Also the adjustable roller. I will apreciate that alot. Thanks, NICE TABLE
Hello, I`m working in welding (all type) mostly robotic for about 22 years... Just wanted to tell you that this welding table is GREAT, mate!!!! Congrats. The pistol holder is SEXY ;)
Hi great Table!!! 👍👍Definitely I'm taking some ideas for my own. Also I like your band saw can you send me what brand it's and where I can get it, how much cost tank you and good work!
As a welder I truly appreciate your work. It is amazing. I saw the anvil you made and had to subscribe. You have great talent and i was wondering what your process is for building what you make from idea to completion. Also where did you acquire your skills.

Hi friend. Let me ask you why did you preferred to place a bandsaw left side of the table? Logically if bandsaw is placed right side from table - the longer part of the metal could lay on the table and be clamped in the vise. And another part, that is subject to cut out, could hang freely. In your case the vise holds the part that is subject to cut out. Is it convenient?
Good job... When I see You first putting that nice metal-cutting saw on the table I said to myself... "Maybe it's not the best idea"😄... And latter I realized you changed your mind...😄👋👋👋😄... Nice Work, God Bless...

Отличная работа. Подставка под горелку зачёт.

thanks, buddy!
How could you have a single thumbs down. Some people can't be pleased. This is amazing!!! Way better than my welding table.
Probably more thumbs down for the music than the build, which was awsome.

I was going to make a welding cart but after watching this I think I'll just make a welding table on wheels. Great job. Thanks for the insight.

If you want an electric rotary for an upgrade think about a foot pedal for it that makes it spin faster or slower from pressure.
