People have a narrative on Aaronson and have made up their minds before a ball is even kicked. They are completely blind to anything good he does, and notice every little mistake. He works incredibly hard, is great on the turn and gets in great areas. A bit better finishing and he could get 20 goals this season.
At the start of the season, I wouldn't have given Aaronson a place on the field or bench. He has consistently played in a way to change my mind. All players has flaws and issues, but I must say Aasonson has earned my respect in spade. I have re-evaluated my feeling and realise he is a growing and very effective player in the Leeds team.
Great analysis again Locky, can't agree more with you re: Ampadu. He is just continuously there to cut out counter attacks and stop opposition momentum. His tackling is RIDICULOUS. And the mentality, we've missed that through the middle. Great to have him back MOT
Rodon was a 9 for me yesterday, superb in defence but also brought the ball out like Beckenbauer, playing slide rule passes into midfield, bringing it forward confidently and quickly which allowed us to get into their third very effectively.
Good summary locky, the 3 strugglers needed calling out. Aaronson much improved now he's making better decisions, playing more centrally and not overplaying in cul de sacs. Ampadu is definitely the difference in these away games, we look so much stronger (physically) when he plays. Piroe doesn't do much but what he does is usually pure class. Real statement performance and win that 👏
Kevin my friend thankyou so much 🙏 I am truly grateful, legend!! I wish you a grand 2025 too pal and thankyou for your continued support from the last months, you are an absolute legend, thankyou so much 👍
I am liking Rodin’s growing confidence to run forward with the ball. It used to frustrate me when we would look to pass the ball (sideways) rather than run forward into space, draw in the opposition then pass the ball. Rodin now seems to be doing this (more) which is great. Struijk looking alittle off the pace the last 3 games now. Hope it’s not a reoccurrence of his hernia problem.
Ye he looks extremely comfortable now and has definitely found his groove. Tbf to Struijk he’s usually injured at this time so ye could just be a confidence or mindset thing maybe? His body feeling it as he’s not used do playing this much.
Great game and a fantastic goal, a real team effort, just one negative and that was our finishing again but at the end of the day it is a 1 - 0 win and another 3 points on the board.
Ye it’s shocking most weeks isn’t it. I feel harsh because we are too goal scorers but we should have even more, that’s how dominant we are haha. Exactly mate and that’s all that matters really
Ye the 3rd man runs, dummy runs and one touch movements 😍 I love it. Haha I’m over it but nobody has Dj forgive if they don’t want to, just appreciate his hard work I think .
I am on repeat ............... opportunities a plenty but finishing sucked. We need that killer instinct. Solomon, James and Piroe start and Gnonto, Ramazani and Joesph are the subs. Happy New Year to you and yours. I'll catch you next year.
Ye same stuff isn’t it Steve 😂 we just love to make it that little bit harder . Happy new year pal, thankyou for your support all year, I massively appreciate it 💪
Hello 👋 Locky buzzing like a mad Leeds Bee 🐝 what a cracking match against an old foe big call 🤙 by Daniel Farke to make 4 changes 😮and it paid off the Derby keeper was there man of the match if it wasn't for him it could of been 4.0to us he's going to be snapped up in the summer 🌞. Mr Meslier made two crucial saves to keep Leeds in the match 🙏the build up for our goal was sublime honestly a fantastic display and Joel Piroes assist for Brenden to score a classy goal the away end limbs everywhere going mental 🤩🙌 just like me in my kitchen 😳😍🤣. When Daniel Farke made his sub's it changed the match for me Ethan Ampadu was outstanding for me he's my favourite Leeds player he wears the famous No 4 shirt 👕 with pride the legendary Billy Bremner king 👑 of kings captain of all captains will be so proud of Ethan Ampadu 🙌🙏😍. Your right about Largie he hasn't been the same since he got injured he was well off the pace he will get fitter as he gets more time on the park 🏞️ he's gonna come good and Willy just not there yet Dan James is the man for me Manor Solomon and Joel Piroe changed it for Leeds when they come on thanks 🙏 Locky love your match analysis of our players and Daniel Farke will rotate more he's level headed seen his interview after the match said yeah Top of the league good for the fan's but it's May after 46matches and the hard work is done and your Top of the table total respect to Daniel Farke 🫶🤝 marching on together we all love Leeds keep fighting all Leeds aren't we 🦚🇮🇨🤍💛💙
Legend Paul, I fully agree with the comment and some top stuff in there but I’m glad you noticed how calm Farke always is, I love that about him and it gives me so much confidence. Mot my friend Marching on Together, 💪🙌
If the manager does not start with Piroe, I would play Pat Bamford, if he is really fit. He is the best at leading the line, and has all the experience that Joseph does not. I know the fans are set against him, but I don't know why - IF he is match fit. Ethan is a great captain as well as an excellent player - no nonsense!
Ye for sure, I’m definitely not as ageist is as most but my issue is just that reliance , try to build around him then he will be out for months. I just with his body was the same as 3/4 years ago
Leeds have struggled with the heavy physical game, but they seem to have learned how to deal with it. There was some nasty play again. We were lucky that injuries weren't happen. If the Derby GK hadn't performed so well, then the result would have been comfortable. Was that our forwards problems? Or the GKs exceptional game? I think Meslier is the weakest part of the team - he did his job well, so we have to give credit where it is due. For me - I'd give him a 6-6.5. Amps and Tanaka are building an understanding, so it'll take a while for them to click. Sofascore had Gnonto at 7.3. So on this, we differ. But I have to bow to your experience. For me - Farke should have done changes earlier - so on this we utterly agree. Thanks for the report. you talked about those chances that they should have scored...Bamford should also be included.
Ye I don’t tend to pay any attention to them eating sites to be honest mate, I Just do it on what I see. I just don’t think he’s at the level he should be at the moment and I think all the other wingers are performing better. I’d just expect them to find the corners more I guess, but the GK had a few good saves. Ampadu header was wide and Mateos 2 were wide also. I’m sure I mentioned Bamford ? Did I not? If not then yes he had a big chance too
Gnonto has a shoulder injury and Ramazani is coming back from injury, even so we were still all over Derby and should have scored at least two in the first half
Spot on about Joseph. I see other channels who shall remain unnamed saying 'we have to start playing or he'll be on the phone to his agent to leave'... why would he? lol. He's essentially a kid who has done nothing at this level, playing for the best team in the league. Why shouldn't his chances be limited? The way people have basically said pre-season that he'll be banging in 20 champ goals after 1 good cup game v Chelsea is crazy. There is literally no data to suggest he's a brilliant finisher at this level yet. Good for his country at u21 level and prospect for sure, but that's all right now. And like you said this season we need players for now, not later. Joseph's time will come at a later date.
Solomon used to get criticism because he clearly wasn't fit enough to impact the game and because of his injury history the confidence in him was understandably low, I have always agreed with Farke about Piroe
Farke knows he has to rotate the team, it is a very long season. There will always be individuals who have good and bad performances in any given match, but the quality in this current team can absorb some of those moments. Aaronson is a work horse up front, always gives 100% but lacks some quality on the ball, Ampadu bosses it at the back, but can sometimes be too rash in his tackles, Joseph still not got a Striker’s instinct, or finish, but he is still a young apprentice. However, what I am seeing is that we are continuing to build a squad of player’s, and not just a starting eleven, we are not quite there yet but still developing and subject to injuries, we are not too far away from having player’s on the Sub’s bench that will fit into any starting line up in most areas of the pitch when we need to call on them. Schmidt and Wober have both been impressive in their cameo appearances and their are other’s we haven’t seen a lot of, just waiting in the wings, we are actually in an incredible position long term. But, we are going to have a bad day or two at the office, when they happen we just need to pick ourselves up, dust ourselves down and keep plugging away, one game at a time. Happy New Year to all 🎉🥳🥳
The front row we're rubbish until Farke changed later on. Aaronson done OK in Most parts. What worries me is Gnonto has lost it. As soon as He goes For Goal His head goes down and He Runs into Trouble
Didn't get the Ampadu cannot come back in stuff - all I can think was maybe at CB. I wanted the changes and I have to agree none of them impressed, Gnonto is a bit strange at the moment. Not really doing a lot in games but if we keep winning and rotating the squad to keep it fresh, then thats great. Thats the bit that worries me about Aaronson, burnout later.
some fans have opinions on players outside games. If thing doesn't go our way they blame the players they don't rate players whether they have poor or good performances.
Couldn’t understand the selection of Ramazani and Gnonto when Solomon and James have been so affective. Ok did he do it for rotation/rest reasons. FARKE refused to rest his players last season has he tried to correct that?
Arronson gets criticism because he loses the ball too much, and like James did he snatches at shots, If he can cut those traits out he'll be a very good player
Thought Ramazani and Gnonto both need to stay wider. Both today played narrow consistently, which did not suit both themselves or the team. Joseph needs to do less running and go back to the styles that used to play in the u18's and u21's and the Spanish youth. Currently, he runs around too much drop to deep.
They love to cut into traffic, & when they do, they don't hit Aaronson on that run on the weakside he regularly makes, which has often drawn the d away from them initially. Solomon has much better 360 degree awareness. And Joseph's technique + awareness aren't nearly as good as Piroe's to interplay. Piroe-Solomon-Aaronson have much better synergy.
Is colossusless a word? 😂 Good summary. My only beef is our finishing and shooting accuracy. It’s either row Z or straight at the goalkeeper. They just need to take a second for composure. It’s what separates the class players from mainstream. Piroe is the only one with it and occasionally Dan James. Learning to chip the keeper, gets more goals.
at finishing yes but he had a shot saved ,should have had an assist but aaronson missed the sitter and had a great run into the box and good cross which nearly went in at the near post , all around play nothing wrong with it
Harsh on gnonto, clearly the best player on the pitch first half, ampadu only completed 39/56passes so was quite wasteful with the ball so only a 7 for me, byram only a 6, was terrible when we had the ball, cutting back when he had acres of space to go forward into space
People have a narrative on Aaronson and have made up their minds before a ball is even kicked. They are completely blind to anything good he does, and notice every little mistake. He works incredibly hard, is great on the turn and gets in great areas. A bit better finishing and he could get 20 goals this season.

Good post matto
100% agree Matt. I’ll see him do one bad thing and think to myself - that’s him a Terrible player to a lot now then.
Great analysis again Locky, can't agree more with you re: Ampadu. He is just continuously there to cut out counter attacks and stop opposition momentum. His tackling is RIDICULOUS. And the mentality, we've missed that through the middle. Great to have him back MOT
Absolutely mate, what a player !!
Rodon was a 9 for me yesterday, superb in defence but also brought the ball out like Beckenbauer, playing slide rule passes into midfield, bringing it forward confidently and quickly which allowed us to get into their third very effectively.
Ye well said Matt, he was absolutely spot on.
Good show.
Really good performance love Rodon
Good summary locky, the 3 strugglers needed calling out. Aaronson much improved now he's making better decisions, playing more centrally and not overplaying in cul de sacs. Real statement performance and win that 👏
Ye 100% agree with this MJW , I think for players of their level they should be performing better. Ye Ampadu is just so important isn’t he.
Aaronson done great this season
I'm not surprised in the slightest
Thanks for your excellent reviews, all the best for 2025
Kevin my friend thankyou so much 🙏 I am truly grateful, legend!! I wish you a grand 2025 too pal and thankyou for your continued support from the last months, you are an absolute legend, thankyou so much 👍

The goal reminded me of Bielsa ball, Aaronson is so under appreciated , its defo time to forgive him for leaving isn't it?
Ye the 3rd man runs, dummy runs and one touch movements 😍 I love it. Haha I’m over it but nobody has Dj forgive if they don’t want to, just appreciate his hard work I think .
Good insights. And thank you for 'collossalesque'.
Thankyou pal, appreciate the support 🫡
Thanks Locky
Respect locky great analysis 👏
Cheers Gary, appreciate the support pal 👍

Ampadu top class for me
Can't agree about Ampadu, his passing is not the level of the team, but yes he is a destroyer
Great analysis Locky 👏👏😎⚔️
Cheers Andrew, top man 💪

Ye fully agree mate, couldn’t have put it better myself. He’s a young man with a lot of talent but also a lot of learning to do.
I felt Gnonto played really well to be honest unlucky on offside as well
Fair enough mate 💪 he had good moments for sure.
Solomon used to get criticism because he clearly wasn't fit enough to impact the game and because of his injury history the confidence in him was understandably low,
I have always agreed with Farke about Piroe

Perfectly put mate, I can’t add too it you said it perfectly. But a happy new year to you too my friend🫡
Set pieces concern me without Rothwell.
Missed rothwell them driving runs
The front row we're rubbish until Farke changed later on. Aaronson done OK in Most parts. What worries me is Gnonto has lost it. As soon as He goes For Goal His head goes down and He Runs into Trouble
Ye he’s trying to much I think Chris.

Yeah agree on Ramazani not looking sharp yet. Clearly not fully fit yet.
Don’t know what Gnonto’s excuse is….
gnonto excuse was he was the best player in the first half comfortably
some fans have opinions on players outside games. If thing doesn't go our way they blame the players they don't rate players whether they have poor or good performances.
Ye that’s 100% true mate.
Not sure either Gnonto or Ramazani are 1st on team sheet now
Couldn’t understand the selection of Ramazani and Gnonto when Solomon and James have been so affective. Ok did he do it for rotation/rest reasons. FARKE refused to rest his players last season has he tried to correct that?
Ye must of been a trust thing, these are his players now with all his decisions. Last year was a little crazy wasn’t it at the start.
@ last season he refused to rotate hopefully a lesson learned
I think Ampadu needs to stay back and let AO move forward, otherwise AO has to continually cover for Ampadu who's not effective in the final third
Solomon and James are streets ahead of Gnonto and Ramazani at the moment, its not controversial its plain to see
Ye levels above at the moment for sure.
Arronson gets criticism because he loses the ball too much, and like James did he snatches at shots, If he can cut those traits out he'll be a very good player
Thought Gnonto did well

Ye very narrow but also both making the same runs at the same time as well.
Is colossusless a word? 😂 Good summary. My only beef is our finishing and shooting accuracy. It’s either row Z or straight at the goalkeeper. They just need to take a second for composure. Ye it’s either absolutely unreal or absolutely terrible isn’t it haha 😂
Joseph poor again
at finishing yes but he had a shot saved ,should have had an assist but aaronson missed the sitter and had a great run into the box and good cross which nearly went in at the near post , all around play nothing wrong with it
