I'm 4 years old and it's sad that people my age don't listen to good music like this, they only crawl around drinking milk and annoying their siblings.
+Juwarto Chua I know what you mean, as an ovum I find it difficult to find peers that dig jazz or exist as complete sentient beings. It's like c'mon guys, CHALLENGE yourselves!! OH SHIT what are those? Ohhh my...ow.ow.ow.ow
Playing faster and faster is not, to me, music's endgame. I like so much Tchavolo's playing... and love it more than Stochelo's style. it gives so much happiness and it reminds to what it means to be a manouche guitarist: try to spread feelings and make people dreaming. The same Django was able to play much faster than he usually did, though he had only 2 fingers. But it's not music then, it's just a rally between guitars. I think gipsy jazz is not that. Let the music breathe, man! :)
although tchavalo dosnt seem to play fast as much as the other guys(even though im sure he can)he plays with a very good qaulity and i noticed he uses alot of finger stretches for good accenting and sound.fantastic job by everyone!
to me music is about creating melodies and having fun. and thats where django succeeded. he not only created wonderful melodies but they were fun to listen to because they were almost like if they were sung by himself. todays players cant replicate that, they just play a bunch of random notes that sound good together, but you feel no emotion because the melodies arent there. to me at least. some people will probably be angry about this and thats fine. its my opinion.
so people in here who says - faster is not better - basically says that gypsy jazz sux? django played even faster, and always with 16th notes everywhere, and he had a lot of beautiful melodies. If you mean that you need to have max 2 notes per bar, so dude jazz is not for you. in here is everything based on chord arpeggios. when they play theme itself, they play it "as-is" a lot of times, with less notes, when they improvise, they improvise around theme.. so what's your problem with that? it's definition of jazz!
No, they're probably saying that just because its faster it doesn't mean that it's better. You can still play faster and be better but sometimes it just doesn't always work out.
***** This is freaking stupid to read. Jim Hall is a master of jazz guitar, and he played very few selective notes. Django, Jimmy Raney and so on are also masters, but with different style that require more notes. It is about the melody, and the pauses between them. Listen from 2:05 to 2:15, he plays a difficult lick, or what ever it is, and it is impressing but sounds horrible. That "line" had nothing to do with melody, feeling, swing or anything other than showing off, and that is also why playing faster doesn't equal playing tasty or good for that matter
H0E0M0G14 what i really hate in jazz is .. when there's no connection between passages/licks/etudes :) those pauses for me is groove killer.. it's just my personal opinion.. classical music fans like these licks at all, i hate licks :) playing fast is difficult, and i think people need to respect this. soloing by connecting multiple arggpeggies into one serie of note is even more difficult.. playing melody around with tons of arrpegios, and making dynamic and progressive solo without any pauses is lifetime to master skill :)
Questo brano fu scritto dal maestro Olivieri negli anni trenta.Il suo nome è Tornerai.E ' una bella canzone Italiana adottata dai Fŕancesi.La verità non è un'opinione.
Correct... first Tchavolo, then Stochelo, then Dorado. There is a DVD available (if you can find it) called Bireli Lagrene Live Jazz a Vienne which is a treasure trove of wonderful music. I love Tchavolo's playing! So much swing and bounce to it!
@@Trxadventures I should have mentioned above, the Bireli DVD is where this performance comes from. He has lots of amazing guests onboard. Angelo Debarre is another one of his guests who should be mentioned!
As I was saying, playing a myriad of notes in two seconds do not mean better... listen to Beethoven's: "Claro de Luna" and you will see what I mean. I am not someone who knows anything about music. Only someone who feels music. Thank you.
L'ascolto mi lascia senza parole tranne dire grazie a te per il posting (ancora).
I so damn agree with you! I've always considered Tchavolo my favourite manouche guitar player because of that!
beautiful music wonderful lightens my day!!!! :)
Am i the only one who loves the FACES of those men before their music??
It's HAPPY music guys - Come On;No-one will ever play like Django he was THE Original.;Just enjoy the bloody sounds eh ?? :-)
my heart learned to wait for you, like in a never ending dream ...

Ah, so fine to finally interact with another refined toddler
but I still agree that tits are fantastic though....
Nigeran please, I was listening to CRASS as a zygote. If you don't know the Django Reinhardt version of this you're never going to be punk rock.
You’ll enjoy many more good years! Just wait til you get to your teen years and the jazz angst kicks in!!¡¡ !!!¡
Un tema de los mas dinámicos y hermosos que se han creado, creo que se ha tocado con todos los instrumentos, y en varios géneros.
Wow.. what a great guitarplayer..love that music..
Holy goodness, dorado and tchavolo were digging, stochelo was digging them ahahah
@Powerbench405
That's the power of manouche. It's like a travel: makes you forget about your troubles!
Also very much a part of why I play it too.
Masters among themselves

fantastic! :-)

@9oh21oh Wunderbar,i think Rosenberg comes very very close to Django Reinhardt 's playing the Guitar.
