I love the many use cases that this portable scanner is designed for.
I use it to scan books where you cannot open flat or the binding will be destroyed. Ideal also for bound copies of newspapers held by my History Society. 10/10 rating.
I bought this to use on our old books, that can not be copied.. too big, too fragile, etc @ the historical Society ...
I have people bringing me books , now I can scan them and then print them off.
I probably won't use the WIFI , my phone isn't good enough to worry about it
I have never used an OCR that worked so , at least the scanning will be great

I recently watched Chinny Visions review of the Mustek Amiga hand scanner. Interesting to see how the technology has moved on since the 90's and that it still exists today! #chinnyvision
It seems this product is still on amazon when we check manual scan. I would have liked to see when you scan a book, does it correct curving page, does it straight the content in the pdf page ? .... thanks for the review
Scanners are also useful for digitally archiving important documents just in case they are ever destroyed somehow. Then you can print new legal copies of them as long as they don't need any notary seal or other thing a scanner and printer does not usually copy. You can even use them to keep pictures of checks that are for large amounts of money. This way if someone accuses you of not paying them you have that to show.

A phone may also take a good scan but I would want to check them to make sure they came out clear enough. My Motorola Edge has a 108 MP camera and it has scanning in the camera app. You just want to have good glare free light and make sure that your lens is clean (you would be surprised how much a slight smudge will ruin your images).

You wouldn't want broadcasting an open wifi when scanning important documents.
People. Just a little interjection, based on experience with these people. They provide no support, distribute illegal software and have little to no technical knowledge of their own products. When things go wrong, you are on your own. Do yourself a favour and avoid these criminals.
The scanning result seems to be horribly not aligned well at all!!! the lines in this vid are all tilted and I bet unless you move over page in consistent speed and angle, you will always end up with these sort of crap.
Who wants things in Chinese why bother speaking English and selling items it's got Chinese on it
