The Goose Who Thinks He is a Sandhill Crane Part 2

Homer, the goose who thinks he is a Sandhill Crane, disappeared during fall migration in 2011. Since then, several false sightings have been called in to Kachemak Crane Watch, but all turned out to be the wrong species. This spring 2014, a new sighting of a "Homer" was called in that is the correct species, a Lesser Canada Goose.
While this all makes a nice story, it is likely this goose, like the one in the original film, was simply alone and joined the flock for protection. Other geese were seen with Sandhill Crane flocks around Homer in subsequent years, so it is a good strategy for these geese to join a flock, even if it is another species.
