Sailboat mast project | mast foot step II.

In this episode we continue the sailboat mast project on our Hunter 54.
In this episode we complete the mast foot project in the workshop.
We manufacture new parts for the mast foot ,sandblast it and paint it.
We put the parts together so it will be ready for the sailboat.
The sailboat mast project will continue!

Enjoyed the video. As I have worked on my mast base as well. I have sandblasted Mine and no cracks. I like the idea of reinforcing the shivs. Did the Welds distort the Shives area at all. I will be sending mine off to be hardened anodized.

If I was you I would apply some Loctite on the small bolts so it doesn't come loose.

How did you lower the mast

We used the same crane as we used when we lifted the boat.
