@@davidcosta2244 Crazy time. No one was buying gas the first few weeks of the pandemic. A barrel of oil was trading less than $1 at the time. I bought gas for .99 cents a gallon in late march 2020. Gas prices eventually rose over the next few months to over $2.50 a gallon.
m4550 A barrel of oil never was $1 during the pandemic, however, it did fall to about $18, which is close to being too low from drilling oil in America, because it more expensive to do so here. Most oil here comes from hydro fracking, and oil isn't able to drop below $20 a barrel for much time, since it's uneconomical to produce. OPEC was increasing their productivity in order to get the USA out of the market for this reason.

I agree with everyone else, he is right about the music. Americans created the Blues, specifically, the Delta Blues, which branched out into Rock N Roll in many forms. Then there is Jazz, Country, Blue Grass, Big Band, etc. Led Zeppelin, the Rolling Stones, and Eric Clapton often talk about using the Blues and early rock from America as their inspiration. The think that gets me about European attitudes towards Americans is that they don't like us but they sure do call on us when they need money or defense. I can't think of a single war America has started and Americans rebuilt Europe after WWII through the Marshall Plan with American tax dollars. And as for being "dumb," we are the most technologically advanced country on the planet. Almost all of the big tech comes from us, including the military, and some of the best universities in the world are American.
Americans didn’t create the blues; if you’re gonna tell the history of black music at least tell the full story most of modern music in America stems from slavary or racial injustice….. that part is kinda important…
Aside from the music, the rest of what you say is total BS. Sorry! Have you ever left your country, been to Europe? With mostly better infrastructure and above all better life than in the US! You can't remember a war the US started? Are you kidding me? There are over 200!!! The Marshall Plan allowed European countries to buy US products on credit!!! Without it, the US economy would have imploded after WW2. Win win situation. You have Google and Co, and the military, that's about it. "Made in America" is not a seal of approval. See the US trade deficit.
@@TreyMessiah95 "Americans didn't create the blues." So you are saying that black music was created by non-Americans? I think it is very clearly you who does not understand. If you want to go into the social injustices as a part of your response, please feel free to do so.

About music, yeah I have to get on with my opinion since I'm a great lover of classic music I grew up with in the 60s70s ~ Yes, the U.S. has tremendous musicians and bands from all genres (rap-hiphop, I consider noise pollution, not music at all) but I know alot of British bands that were influenced by American music going back to the 40s50s and all that, then they put their own style to it, we wouldn't have bands like The Beatles, The Moody Blues, Elton John, Sting, ELO, Led Zeppelin, The Animals, Jethro Tull, ABBA, The Who, Pink Floyd, The Animals, Rolling Stones and tons more I could mention, our music would be missing alot of classic hits that I've enjoyed for over 50 years. I think musicians all over Europe and here in America have made the best songs that have stood the test of time. Yes, we have so many fantastic artists/bands such as The Doors, Fleetwood Mac, Lynyrd Skynyrd, Grand Funk Railroad, Three Dog Night, Don McLean, Boston, Cat Stevens, Kansas, The Doobie Brothers, Bread, CCR, Steve Miller Band, etc., I don't see it as competition but a conglomerate of talented musicians that make up the world's best jukebox!!!!
Yo, what's with his throwing shade on Portland? Yes, as a biased Oregonian, I'll agree that the whole state has beautiful landscapes. We've got two primo rivers, neat bridges, and a big ol' volcano on your right.
@7:30 "there's 4.4L/gallon let's say..." Let's not. We're talking about the US here, so we're using United States Customary Units, not Imperial units. It's ~3.8L/US Gallon. Just to cover my xss and make sure I do not step over YT rules and guidelines, we can say that all below are "allegedly". It´s in age order. 1/ JFK, Bobby Kennedy and MLK killed. Today only MLK have been recognised officially as done by US intelligence (not democratic nor intelligent) The JFK lone shooter theory have so far only been debunked to the point that we now know he at least had been a CIA operative and his trip to USSR were a operation. If there are anyone left believing JFK/BK´s murders were not a conspiracy involving people inside top government I have an Eiffel Tower for sale! Cheap! 2/The "Mohammed Ali heist" where a break in at FBI´s office by students that proved the US intelligence spied on left leaning Americans. Undemocratic and against your constitution! 3/ Oliver North, Intelligence "employee" proven to have used US intelligence owned planes to import hard drugs for government/intelligence money that then were distributed inside USA to predominantly black areas while the profits were used to finance weapons illegally and without public knowledge, for the Contras. AFTER sentencing Oliver North again were hired by US authorities! He are/were host of War Stories with Oliver North on Fox News Channel. In 2018, North became the President of the National Rifle Association of America (NRA). If anybody spot a nation and a society in remorse of what had been done, as defenders of democracy and international law, please let me know. 4/ Jeb Bush as governor of Florida imported faulty "punch" voting machines from several states of several brands and distributed them to predominantly black and democratic areas. Then used the badly punched voting cards to null and void votes. Turned out, after an unworthy process for a nation calling itself a democracy, that the electoral college votes from Florida, were decisive and thus Al Gore were robbed from being president and Jeb Bush brother, absurdly ended up being president. Banana state or deep state or coup?, pick your poison while you brace for next two points that seemingly are linked to this one. 5/ 9/11. Building 7´s collapse were impossible to explain, even with the most creative lies, so that building were left completely out of the 9/11 commission report. The Israeli owner of the WTC building bought them just over a month prior to the attack. Made specific demands to the insurance policy that later turned out to be crucial for getting double amount payment out. The Israeli owner, the day after building 7 went down, in exactly same fashion and with gravitational speed on open mike and camera said; "We decided to pull it" when asked about building 7´s inexplainable collapse, no planes hit that building and NO similar constructed building in the world, even after raging fires and worse, had ever come down this way. Demolition experts have stated that prepping a building for that sort of collapse with, say, termite would take around 3 months. The main tenants of building 7 were CIA and FBI. Dust gathered from all over Manhattan have been tested in labs (Professor Niels Harris Copenhagen University were one of them) and findings are online. ALL dust gathered contained either nano termite or residue from burned nano termite. Weeks after 9/11 machinery lifted a huge concrete block and immediately a huge high heat fire broke out, just as it would be the case if nano termite were present but had been starved of oxygen until the concrete block were lifted. That were caught on rolling camera! 6/ 3 days before Bush junior invaded Iraq a huge demographic survey were made and it showed that 86% of Americans in the voting allowed age bracket agreed to this statement: " Do you think USA should attack Iraq to revenge 9/11?" Quite scary numbers considering Saddam and Iraq had absolutely NOTHING to do with 9/11. Even dictator POOtin would be proud of such numbers in his dictatorship, based on pure manipulation of the American people. One thing are to have a constitutional RIGHT to have free media BUT another thing are to actually have it! Maybe have the right but certainly do not have free media must be the objective conclusion based on above facts! 7/ The entire Trump presidential campaign! Unworthy for any nation calling itself a democracy. 8/The American president standing in 2018 in Helsinki next to POOtin taking POOtin´s words over his own prior intelligence briefing that told him that Russia DID meddle in the US election that got him the most electoral college votes. 9/ Trump asking for an invite to an official state visit to cofounding NATO nation Denmark. The Kingdom of Denmark are the nation that USA have the longest friendly diplomatic relation with! Then 3 days before the visit asking on TV if The Kingdom of Denmark wants to sell one of its nations and thus also population to USA for money calling it "a real estate deal, really" thus de facto, on behalf of USA, giving a colonial offer more than 100 years after this dark chapter finally should have been closed. POOtin had a proud moment there that Trumpy boy probably got an extra bonus into his secret bank account for. Imagine for a second if Canada´s PM on TV had offered to buy Florida because Canada needed a space port and had called it a "real estate deal really"! I think many in rest of the free world were equally horrified by Trumps absurdity as they were over the laughs from Americans that seemed rather indifferent about the populations in the Kingdom that had stood beside USA for hundreds of years, even having many of their people killed, because they were dragged into wars because of American lies! The Kingdom of Denmark are one of the oldest nations in the free world with a history many times longer than USA as a nation. A staunch ally treated like garbage and to this date still have not received an official apology! SO shameful for USA and many do not understand that that marked the point where European leaders no longer automatically took the phone when Trump rang. Trump,as most know, then cancelled the trip in last second when the Danish PM called trumps asking for absurd. She were very diplomatic actually! Thing are that it were a state visit, the highest diplomatic gathering on the scale. The host in that case then are the Queen of Denmark, not the government and thus trump also insulted the Danish Queen. Then comes the Danish, Faroe Island and off course the Greenlandic population. 10/ Murdoch media and others being allowed to spew lies after lies and dis and mis-information without laws to stop them. There are a big difference between freedom of expression and freedom of speech under respect of slander and deliberate lies. FOX News registering themselves as "entertainment" despite their name are maybe a bit to easy a loophole to avoid living up to journalistic requirements and laws. AND a bonus 11/ Many have to conclude that the US justice system are broken to pieces when POOtin lover Trump STILL are not locked up as the largest domestic terrorist, so many things indicate, he are. And now the POOtin loving part of the "Trump party" wanna discredit NATO that have ensured ALL members have not lost one inch of territory since established. Now WHOM would like that in this world?....POOtin, Xi, Kim AND Trump...what a coincidence! The collective mind and knowledge or lack hereof, have now reached dangerous heights. If we do not transition to an emission free energy production and usage NOW, humanity are on the line. I am afraid all of the above are related to fossil fuels/resources and profits hereof in some way.

Before the pandemic here in florida it was around $2.25 per gal.
It was $1.92 in Clearwater, FL. on Belcher Ave. on April 25, 2020.
It was cheaper DURING the pandemic because the demand dropped with everyone staying at home. I am in Florida and it wasn't that cheap before the pandemic where I live.
Was about $1.79 here prior to pandemic. Walmart is "down" to $2.69 here.
I always felt like the UK was America's parents that we had a falling out with when we were young but reconciled not long after.

That's why he deleted the video about Germany.

Hi the Darren and G I live near Laurence from Lost in the Pond, yes I live in or around Chicago IL. Heard you talking about gas prices. I paid $3.80 a gallon at a Shell gas (petrol) station and I wasn't happy. I remember yelling out "are they charging summer gas prices already?" Since they always raise the price in the summertime.

I think most black people in the United States, back then and now, consider themselves to be Americans. And the origin of the Blues is not the issue here, the issue is that it was created in America by Americans, that is what is pertinent to this conversation. If you want to go into the social injustices as a part of your response, please feel free to do so.

I won't argue with that. I don't like Elvis or Michael Jackson. I love John Denver though.
i always thought Europe was better for shopping than the US for some reason.
I did too…. I still kind of think I’d like it better. It would be like going to the Christmas shops in Germany or the bakeries .
Hip hop and soul music also originated from America as well break dancing.

Daz, in your math for the price of gas, you calculated 4.4 liters per gallon. However that's an imperial gallon. It's actually 3.8 liters per the gallon that we use here in America. So that's why your math was a little off.
It’s annoying bc I’ve worked in customer service jobs my whole life in america and we bust our back going out of our way trying to help customers and they still complain like crazy and act like we are not doing enough. The new generation of young people they are on their phones more and ignoring the customers plus there’s lots of complaints about all the new technology and self check outs and such.

But the fish an chip shops in England look fantastic that would be my first stop if I visited England I saw a pie shop not sweet meats an veggies those look pretty good
About music, yeah I have to get on with my opinion since I'm a great lover of classic music I grew up with in the 60s70s ~ Yes, the U.S. has tremendous musicians and bands from all genres (rap-hiphop, I consider noise pollution, not music at all) but I know alot of British bands that were influenced by American music going back to the 40s50s and all that, then they put their own style to it, we wouldn't have bands like The Beatles, The Moody Blues, Elton John, Sting, ELO, Led Zeppelin, The Animals, Jethro Tull, ABBA, The Who, Pink Floyd, The Animals, Rolling Stones and tons more I could mention, our music would be missing alot of classic hits that I've enjoyed for over 50 years.
And say what you will about Portland in general, but it's a stretch to claim it's any less scenic than the average American city (which, as we all know, has to be Columbus, Ohio). We've got two primo rivers, neat bridges, and a big ol' volcano on your right.
@7:30 "there's 4.4L/gallon let's say..."
Let's not. We're talking about the US here, so we're using United States Customary Units, not Imperial units. It's ~3.8L/US Gallon.
US ounce = ~29.6 mL
Imperial Ounce = ~ 28.4 mL
US Gallon = 128 US ounces
Imperial Gallon = 160 Imperial ounces (or approx 153 US ounces)

Facts, they believe they started Rock and Roll just because they have some famous Rock and Roll bands from there, that's been most to all the best singers they ever have......I think they don't want to believe we invented Rock and Roll
U know u can't sing in a Accent like Adele , Harry styles , Ella mai even Australia when they sing they don't sound the way they talk
@@JJ-vr7gl not true, when other people from different nations sing in their native tongue. They sound, let's say as if they are Japanese. When they sing the music music sounds like a Japanese person singing. The same for K-pop or C-pop or Mexican or Russian music. That however is not the case for Brit's or Australians. US democracy´s decline in 10 points (ish) seen from one, non Brit, non American Northern European. Strong stuff. Hold on to your hats!
6/ 3 days before Bush junior invaded Iraq a huge demographic survey were made and it showed that 86% of Americans in the voting allowed age bracket agreed to this statement: " Do you think USA should attack Iraq to revenge 9/11?"
Quite scary numbers considering Saddam and Iraq had absolutely NOTHING to do with 9/11.
