    This guy can find the open man, great court vision and manners of a true point guard. I like unselfish players who look first at pass to a teammate.

    The kid is a solid point. Nothing flashy but a true point guard that is a team first player. He would fit good in an offensive system that involves heavy ball rotation. He definitely needs to work on his ball handling being so undersized. Havent seen him get by any press or traps. By senior year he should be a beast though. Great fundamentals.

  • @23NaLi
    @23NaLi 11 ปีที่แล้ว

    After all the sessions, he still leads in total points, assists, and steals in the hands down the most competitive high school basketball league in the nation. Complete beast. I hope he goes to Duke just so I get to watch him wipe the floor with my school in ACC play.

  • @connorrevs9680
    @connorrevs9680 11 ปีที่แล้ว

    He is the number one player in his class. Kid is incredible. And just a FYI he is playing against D1 players in this video. But when he is not playing against high school kids he is playing on the u17 national team where he is still the best player on the court. doesn't matter the level of competition at his age, Tyus will still be the best.

    There are a lot of former highschool players with amazing highlights who are flipping burgers right now. I have seen this kid play in person one time. He put up about 50.

  • @e84fresh
    @e84fresh 11 ปีที่แล้ว

    I'll admit when I first saw his highlights on TH-cam I didn't think much of him. I thought he was overrated. But after I saw him play yesterday at the Nike Global games I came away quite impress. He's definitely the number 2 player in the 2014 class hands down.

    Good lord. Some of those crossovers reminiscent of a young Deron Williams. The way he commits his body one way and shifts the whole thing back looks just like D Will. The passes he is making are really, really nice too. I'm impressed.

  • @gospellover3223
    @gospellover3223 11 ปีที่แล้ว

    well that depends on what position your gonna play in the pros. are you gonna be a center or stretch 4. Either way this kid is one of the purest and most fundamentally sound pg prospects to come out in awhile. Which is refreshing since most pg really want to be sg now a days. anyway best of luck to you man i'm excited to see what you do at the next level.

  • @2anzzzKing
    @2anzzzKing 11 ปีที่แล้ว

    they were supposed to have Wiggins in this class but he decided against it making the 2013 class one of the best ever.

  • @tomssta
    @tomssta 11 ปีที่แล้ว

    You really have to watch him a few times in person to actually respect the way he plays. He just makes everyone around him better. He scores very quietly and what I mean by that is, at the end of the game and you look up at the scoreboard expecting to see like 15 points by his number, but instead you see like 30... He may not be too athletic but he gets into the lane, gets to the line (excellent free-throw shooter), and can shoot pretty well, to go with that he is the best passer in the nation.

  • @MonsterToe5
    @MonsterToe5 10 ปีที่แล้ว +5

    Don't know why you guys insist that this kid sucks. He really doesn't. He sees the floor, has a right dribble, and makes his teammates better. They all probably average 10 thanks to him.
    Stop comparing him to Trevor Dunbar, he's not as flashy but Tyus will get the job done and is the better leader. I see a young Mike Conley in Tyus.
    Keep it simple.

  • @23NaLi
    @23NaLi 11 ปีที่แล้ว

    After 2 full sessions, he leads the extremely competitive Nike EYBL in Points, Assists, and Steals. He's the number 2 player in the class of 2014 and was STARTING PG for the US world championship under 17 team last summer. Say what you want about how boring or unathletic he looks, but results don't lie. The kid can flat out ball and is already a star. Easily a future first round draft pick.

  • @brandlewi23
    @brandlewi23 11 ปีที่แล้ว

    Just because hes not a flashy player that dunks everything doesnt mean he wont be a lottery pick. He may be boring to watch but he seems to be a true point guard who sets people up. plus theres plenty of pg in the league that arent athletic that are still succesful ( nash, rubio, curry, parker, lowry) the determining factor is just how much he wants it from here on out to improve.

    Calipari and his staff are amazing. The fans are amazing, Rupp Arena is amazing. If it is Tyus dream to go pro, Kentucky will get him there quickly and in the front of the line!

Then if that's not enough for you, look at the Nike EYBL AAU circuit statistics (Best competitor in the nation, includes nearly every top player in the country). He lead the league in points, assists, and steals. He is the best player in the nation. No doubt.

    Tyus is the best Floor General and passing point guard in the class of 2014, but I believe in terms of straight up scoring points Joel Berry is the best point guard, he is a little more explosive to the rim.

  • @BucsDucs99
    @BucsDucs99 11 ปีที่แล้ว

    Really interesting player. Basically looks like a better version of Tyler Ennis from this year's class. Isn't flashy, but he does so many of the little things. Even though the camera angles aren't great, you can see enough to tell that he's very good at manipulating the defense with his eyes and change of direction, and he doesn't waste any energy on his moves; everything's quick. For example, he can get from dribbling the ball down low to making a pass over the top of the defense very quickly

    What are you guys talking about? He deserves to be number 1, you should have seen him play at the Nike peach jam last year. He put the team on his back many times vs Andrew wiggins and all them. He also is pretty athletic and he's the perfect point guard he passes well, scores when his team needs him too and is a great leader. You don't have to put on a show to be good.

    Most of the high school players around his area are a D3 level.
    Right now he could easily be looked as a Top pick in the draft.
    When he goes play D1 against taller guys, his draft stock will drop.

    What are you saying? If you are pointing out that Wall is better than Bradley, yeah. But they are both NBA starters. The point I'm making is that they who the best high school players are. Plus Wall is a PG, Bradley is a SG, so it's difficult to compare them.

    He is a point guard his job is to move the ball not play above the rim. He plays really smart. He doesn't seem to have the speed as most the other good guards i agree maybe top 25 guards for 2014 but not in the top 25 overall. He will be a good player though to bad MN cant recruit in there own state to get the kid.

  • @bnb2407

  • @djones0315
    @djones0315 10 ปีที่แล้ว +7

    For all of you who think this kid isn't all that great, it's only because you've been watching too much ballislife. It's all well and good to see kids flash how well they handle ball and stuff, but name me one person at the next level that does that? I'll wait! That stuff works in middle school and high school, and it only works because the talent that most of the kids they play against is sorely lacking. At the college level you don't see it because now you're playing against young men who can ball as well, so that crap doesn't work. This kid is the quintessential point guard, which means his game is going to translate far beyond college. So, you can keep watching these dudes who make kids of lesser talent fall to the ground with how well they handle the ball, but let me know what they do at the college level and beyond. I can answer it for you right now, their games don't translate beyond high school. Bottom line, this kid is a REAL point guard. He plays the game with a purpose, not for show.

    • @msherwood69
      @msherwood69 10 ปีที่แล้ว

      exactly. the kids court vision is disgustingly good, and not once in the video did i see him settle for a long range jumper, which makes him better than most hoopmixtape guards. he drives and either lays it up himself or gets a teammate an easy shot.

    I think its funny when people talk shit about this kid's game. Who are you? Not one of the best high school point guards in America...Thats who. Just because he doesnt hoard the ball like all you other folks who think they're hot shit doesn't mean he's bad. He has amazing vision, great composure, scores at will and doesn't try to force the situation too often. If he stays grounded and keeps working hard he is going to be something special at Duke, I saw him play the other night and there was no answer for him. Oh also he was perfect from the line 10-10 or something. Don't foul him he scores. foul him and hes got 2 anyway. Give this man some respect but don't let his head get big. He has a long way to go. Oh his defense is his only "weak" part of his game. yea he's great against HS kids in the state of hockey, Lets see him against college kids.
