FMF 2015: International TV Series Gala: Downton Abbey, Johna Lunna

- Podczas 8. Festiwalu Muzyki Filmowej w Krakowie gościliśmy znakomite grono artystów, zdobywców najważniejszych nagród i nominacji, zarówno w sferze filmu, jak i muzyki. W Krakowie podczas Międzynarodowej Gali Seriali nie mogło zabraknąć dwukrotnego zdobywcy Primetime Emmy w 2012 i 2013 roku - Johna Lunna. Szkocki kompozytor zaprezentował suitę z serialu „Downton Abbey”. Dwunastotysięczna publiczność w TAURON Arenie Kraków za sprawą muzyki w wykonaniu Sinfonietty Cracovii pod dyrekcją przyjaciela FMF - Diego Navarro, przeniosła się na chwilę w klimat Anglii z początku ubiegłego stulecia.

The piece hadn’t started and goosebumps started forming on my arms 🥹 I’m crying watching this
I doubt if we will ever get a series with such an incredible cast, engaging , well-written story and heart warming music ever again. Perhaps , only in a different lifetime or a parallel universe.

Never saw it
In my humble opinion, Diego Navarro is the most important Spanish composer alive! I perfectly know his wonderful work for films and I think sooner or later he will win Goya award. His effort to develor FIMUCITÉ (the international festival of music for cinema in Tenerife) is something that deserves all kind of honors.
This particular video represents his passion for music, and Lunn's "Downton Abbey" soundtrack is a perfect depiction of how seriously he faces the work of his colleagues.
Diego, in person, is even most funny, humble and clever than he shows as an artist. He deserves to be worldwide known and I'm pretty sure he's on the right track to get it.
Congratulations, maestro!

I eventually heard this Downton Abbey Suite in Fairfax Symphony.
Christopher Zimmermann was my favorite conductor.
I also liked the lady who played cadenzas of Lark Ascending. That was dreamy.
