- Taron is one of two new roller coasters to open to the public in Phantasialand on the 30th June 2016.
The Intamin supplied ride is the centre piece of the new land Klugheim. It features 2 launches, incredible theming, lots of swooping S turns and some impressive airtime.

Riding this coaster and experiencing the second launch was one of my hardest wtf moments ever. Looks like nothing, feels like the fastest coaster in the world 😍
@@rt_superstar, yip. Just had my virgin ride today. My friends who have been on the ride before never filled me in on what that weird sound was that kept echoing through Klugheim. And when we descended towards the second launch rail, I realised. What a phenomenal coaster. Loved every second of it (as well as the wobbly legs afterwards).

I second that! I love only 90-100 minutes from the park and would definitely recommend you to go tame this beast!
I'm from Sac. I rode this ride last summer. It was VERY good. Sit in the front. I also went to Europa Park. I never thought Id see a park with the exception of Islands Of Adventure that could be better than Cedar Point, Europa fits the bill.

lil update, I leave for the trip on the 29th of this month, any seat/ride recommendations? So far I've heard the back row is the best on Taron but also that you unfortunately cannot get quickpass for Taron or Raik. Also, will they allow you to pick rows to ride in etc. etc. because I want to ride in the back row for my first time.
When you see onride videos, you only think that theming looks charming and the coaster is cute...
But when you are there, you completley forget you are in Brühl, you only know Klugheim from the moment you enter the area till you leave it. The ride itself is so awesome, the launches have so much power (especially the second one) and you are thrown around for two minutes. Two total awesome minutes!! Defintley the addition the park needed without expanding its space. I love it!

I remember going to Germany with my school for 3 days a few months ago and we went to Phantasialand, I knew this ride existed and I had been waiting to ride it for at least a year! I did finally manage to ride this coaster with my friends as well as Raik, Black Mamba and some other ones. Absolute best day of my life!

Coaster Touring yeah it shows the speed a lot better. my friend was in that seat when i went on it the first time. I was in the back lol. the most insane place to sit

Just to add, the ride actually gets faster throughout the day with the last hour of each day running significantly faster than the first. My cousin and I rode Taron about 40 times over two days and thought it was just in our heads but after a good chat with the parks manager on our last day, he confirmed our suspicions. Ride the back and do it at the end of the day for the best experience!

It’s called a launch.
The Taron is a blast, make sure you also get to ride it in the evening as fog surrounds the track and the scenery is illuminated by white/blueish & red lights. The second launch will blow you away, the noise and the acceleration are almost overwhelming
The theming is and atmosphere created by the effects really make it a special ride. And yes, the noise on the launch is awesome.
You are so right. I was there yesterday and had two rides - in the morning and again in the evening around 7 pm. The second ride felt way faster than the one in the morning, it was awesome!!!

Kommen auf taron keine Loopings weil ich muss das wissen damit ich darauf kann weil ich kann keine Loopings vertragen weil ich dann brechen muss👎 kann mir das vielleicht jemand sagen

I love this coaster. Had the chance to ride it 3 times on one day. Long waiting line (2 hours!) but in the end really worth it. 2 hours waiting in the morning, on the end of the day 30mins. If you're going, do this coaster in the afternoon.

Bin gestern (29.10.) da gewesen.
Nach den ersten 100 Minuten anstehen haben meine Schwester und ich gemeinsam entschieden: Hammergeil!!!
Da das Wetter bestens war,wurde der Park 1 Stunde länger geöffnet und wir haben uns später nochmal angestellt. Dieses mal waren es gut 120 Minuten (auch wenn am Zugang der Bahn immer nur was von 90 Minuten steht...)
Aber ich muss sagen: seit meinem letzten Besuch im Phantasialand (erste Saison Riverquest...) hat sich so einiges getan und ich war ein wenig Orientierungslos ;)
Hey, falls du die Möglichkeit hast empfehle ich dir mal unter der Woche außerhalb der Ferienzeit zu gehen! Wir mussten teilweise nur 20 Minuten warten :)

Ich war am letzten Oktoberwochenende dort,weil ich keinen Urlaub hatte und meine Schwester leider nur noch dieses Wochenende in Deutschland war
Japp, es hat sich einiges in den letzten Jahren getan.
Fahre jetzt seit 10 Jahren Regelmäßig in den Park und es ist immer wieder ein Hammer gewesen wie viel sich geändert hat.
Auch wenn man manch altes vermisst, sage nur Silbermine.
Bin mal Gespannt wie die alte Fläche von Race for Atlantis wirken wird, wenn da nächstes Jahr die Tore geöffnet werden.

The sound is awesome. Shame they won't let GoPros on when Efteling have just begun to allow it. I filmed this on media night so not sure if the rule change on GoPros is recent or not. Glad you like this video. :)

Hope one day I can get over to Germany to ride this thing. One of, if not the best coaster in the world.
Germany is a must visit for coaster and theme park fans, so many incredible coasters and crazy rides.
Definitely worth a visit here, as there are some good parks in Germany.
Above all the Phantasia Land and the Europa Park (really big).
Also good are Heide Park, Hansa Park and a few more, but not as detailed as the Phantasia Land and Europa Park.
And in the neighboring countries there is also a lot.
For example Efteling in Holland, a very nice park.

JUSTICE LEAGUE: Battle For Metropolis Expert its not really that intense believe me, the first launch is worse because the second one just give you a little bit more speed, the first one throws you from zero to 100 km/h and the second one makes it jump from 87 km/h to 117 km/h

The 2nd launch is much more intense than the first, but then you're already travelling fast in to it, so it's more of a mega boost in to a high g force climb up the waterfall. I wish the first launch was a rolling launch out of the station, rather than you coming to a standstill and being launched. You'll definitely have fun on Tuesday.
This ride seems quite tame on videos, but let me tell you ITS TERRIFYING. I tore a vein in my muscle in my neck on this ride (nothing serious and it didn’t hurt much but when my neck started swelling after the ride it was scary as fuck because I didnt know what was wrong. )
It goes so fast you cant even see and that is BEFORE the second launch. I expected the ride was over at the second launch but nope, you just speed up even more. Craziest ride I’ve been on and cant wait to go on it again.
Hope you recovered quickly. As you say such an awesome ride, and worth any little bit of pain from the intense experience.
Coaster Touring yes, the swelling went down after a week and the ‘pain’ was just a mild strain as if i had pulled a muscle, it was just that it was seriously scary since my neck was really swollen and I was afraid it was something more serious. It wont stop me from going on this ride again.
@@xxsweetrockxx glad you're OK and it's not put you off riding again, can imagine it was pretty scary. Hopefully next time you won't get an injury.
You could make a list of what this does right. Pretty much everything! It’s launches are awesome, it’s fast, it’s intense, it’s a long coaster, and swerving through the buildings is nuts! Oh, and I forgot to mention the incredibly awesome theming; Taron is by far the best themed large coaster.
I think it's an awesome coaster too. Some people complain it's too repetitive and doesn't do enough different things, but personally I think it's fantastic. And yes the theming helps to make this a serious must do coaster.
Coaster Touring a lot of larger coasters lack cool theming (I’m looking at you Six Flags lol), so I think that’s why Taron is so special!
Now THAT is some of the best ambient ride theming I've seen outside of a Disney park, WOW! What kind of speed are we talkin' about once we hit that second launch?
The theming is superb with incredible attention to detail, right down to clothes hanging on washing lines outside the houses. The second launch rockets it you to 120kmph (73mph), not sure what speed you're doing when you enter the 2nd launch but you're going pretty quick already.

When The were building it I thought it was a dueling coaster there was so much track.
It has some bizarre record like the most cross overs of any roller coaster. It's such a tangled mess, in a good way.
If the Phantasialand wouldn't be 4 hours of car travel away I would so go there :X (Except that I dont have a car)

Which do you prefer, Taron or Helix? (I know they are quite different!)
Now that's a seriously tough question. Helix is great for the pacing, unusual elements and it's in Liseberg so what's not to love, but Taron is awesome for the near misses, the theming and the noise from the launches. But I think Helix just tips the balance because of the varied and unusual elements.
So, Maverick is my favorite coaster ever. How does this compare to Maverick!? Because to be honest... This looks like it has the potential to be even better! I mean, they are both Intamin Blitz's but I didn't think it would be possible.
Afraid I've not ridden Maverick, it was under construction last time I was at Cedar Point, so can't comment myself. But others say it's smoother, has better airtime and I don't think anyone can dispute the theming being way superior.

Yes there's a separate line as you get close to the station for queueing to sit in the front row. Personally I preferred sitting near the back as you can really see how close you get to the scenery, and there's even better airtime.

Sorry if my attempt to translate your comment is wrong. It's got comfortable restraints, and I didn't see anyone, of a larger size, struggling to lock the lapbars. Because it is a lap bar only it's less restrictive than the shoulder restraints of Black Mamba.

Taron, fährt sich wesentlich sanfter als "Black Mamba", weist jedoch wesentlich mehr Air-Time (abhebende Kräfte) und Umschwünge auf, welche die Fahrt ausgezeichnet ergänzen; Trotzdem ist Taron nicht nur für Achterbahn-Junkies gebaut :-)

No, this is completely different and is in a park in Germany called Phantasialand.
And the best thing is that you can go one time in every year in the phantasialand for free, of course only if you live in Brühl.

I love all the twisting and the mega airtime. I guess if you are an inversion fan then it may look unimpressive, but with all the near misses it's still a thrilling experience.

On standard operating days, you're correct filming is not allowed and I wouldn't condone sneaking cameras on to rides. This was filmed on the press night, and as I'm a working member of the press I was permitted to film on ride.

Not at all, very smooth. It has some strong transitions, but they are fluid with no jarring or rough jolts.
It's the smoothest coaster i've ridden. Very comfortable.

Is it worth taking the line / is it much faster? And how does it make sense, since there are just 2 peep rows in the train?
It honestly depends. I didn't count how long the line was for me but it did move very slowly which wasn't helped by a few larger groups who insisted on using the Single Rider queue.
Took me as long as it took for others when I was there!
