I agree! And Mitch is actually endorsing Trump’s nomination. I just leaned that Trump actually gave a list of US top level agents to Putin in 2019, and in 2021 the CIA noted an unusually high number of agents being murdered and/or captured. Agent information was also found during the document search at Mar-a-Lago.
This country has survived and functioned for over 200 years without presidential immunity; never needed before Trump and probably never will after.
The law is the law, period!
All Presidents have had immunity within the scope of thier duties. George Bush was sued and got Presidental immunity for starting Iraq. Trump is asking for total immunity for everything for all time. It is the most un-American thing ever. America stops being America if every four years a popularity contest makes someone a king for life.

For me as a lifelong registered Republican, since trump made no effort to put these allegations to bed and spent all his effort to delay clearing these indictments, I will not be voting for ANY republican going forward. This is the only way for ME to hold trump and his supporters accountable. I do not have to worry about a bias SCOTUS of any trump lawyer tricks. I will do everything I can to educate other voters about trump; he is unfit to serve the US as President EVER again.

Michael Fanone is an excellent speaker in his responses to the Jan 6 insurrection. As much as I wish he and his colleagues hadn't been put in a life threatening situation, I'm thankful he was able to come through to become a strong representative to the public for law enforcement.
We MUST learn from and act from his (and others') experiences.

It is ridicoulous to try to come up with a list of what is an official act and what isn‘t. The only differentiation necessary: what is legally covered and what is a criminal act. This has worked for over 230 years. It is crazy that the SC is even hearing this complete madness that is absolute immunity.

Lisa did not even answer Willie's question about the possibility of the SC kicking it back down to the trial court. She went right into a possible delay of the trial. It's already delayed, and there's nothing yet to indicate that it won't happen in a few months.
I suspect that the Supreme Court is weighing whether to answer this question at all, not if yes or no to presidential complete immunity.

I'm 58, and I know that everyone of my generation grew up being told that the greatest thing about America is that the President is no better and has no more rights than any other person. Trump's lawyer Sauer claims that "we couldn't have a Presidency as we know it if there is no Presidential immunity." The meaning of this claim is difficult to gage because the former president's behavior falls far outside what people consider "as we know it" as referring to what "The Presidency" means in the light of Trump's actions.
Bravo Officer Michael Fanone, I feel exactly the same way as you, it's quite frustrating that the Supreme Court looks like it's bent on giving T****, a criminal more than a former president, immunity in his official capacity during his term, this to me and my family is quite shocking to accept if ever.
