  • I review my 2022 F150 Lightning PRO model with standard range battery. I purchased this vehicle because of its efficiency and affordable operating costs when compared to a gas powered F150.

    Looks like a truck, works like a truck, pays for itself in fuel costs savings in 6 years . . . fast as a sports car, rides like a Rolls Royce.

      Same cost as an ICE. Free fuel adds up

    I hit 50k miles last week. Non-issue yet, just savings.

    I've been driving my 2023 lightning for 8 months 6000 miles. So far so good. Love it.

    I love my Lightning! I mainly charge at home in my garage over night during off-peak hours so it only costs me .11 cents per kwh

    I agree that the biggest disappointment is the 5 1/2 ft bed. I am looking to get a Silverado EV for our farm, but I am waiting for a version with the smaller battery and higher towing capacity. But, even that one, has a short bed though is is closer to 6ft, 5' 10" if I recall, but there is the mid-gate which helps though it is not perfect.

      @@DrKellieOwczarczak for sure! These electric trucks have a long way to go, but the good news is with the huge rise in crew cab trucks I am seeing a lot more midsize beds like the HD trucks which would be awesome! Just blows my mind that the PRO model is supposed to be a fleet truck and they don’t offer any 8ft configuration. Things will keep getting better! Thanks for watching!

    So, how often do you get the middle finger from Diesel owners?

    • @TheMagnumChannel
      @TheMagnumChannel  หลายเดือนก่อน +12

      @@notsecure don’t really pay attention to that level of ignorance. Gas and diesel series hybrids are going to be the future like the new ramcharger coming out along with fully electric. So people hating on one particular fuel type is ridiculous IMO

    Thats a huge thing, with 50k miles? My 2005 Envoy has 244k miles and still going strong...let yiur ford f150 ev hit 250k and come back and tell us how it went😂😂😂..btw, my 75 Celica went out and had 425k miles...im currently driving a 2004 Buick with almost 200k miles..

      @@RacerX1971 the point is a lot of people contemplating EVs are wondering how people like them and what experience they have had so far. Combustion cars have had a hundred years of refinement, this is a model T by comparison

      Your comments have a historical context: horse and buggy owners told early automobile adopters they’d regret their purchases. So go buy a “horse” and stay in the dark. EV’s are the future, and already the technology is leaping ahead: 400+ mile range is here and will keep extending.

    • @TheMagnumChannel
      @TheMagnumChannel  11 วันที่ผ่านมา

      @@dandj8699 for sure! It’s similar to ICE technology so people expect the same thing from an EV, but yet it’s a totally different system. What’s interesting to me is our resistance to EVs specifically. We readily adopted battery powered everything else but people freak at the idea of a battery powered car 🤷🏻‍♂️😂

    Good video, but why did you make the trash can comment? You money did your speaking, no need to "trash" another company's product or other people's vehicles. You know the Tesla Superchargers network is now open to Ford and soon many others. 😢

      It's by all means the worst electric truck available. It's a little faster charging, then the Ford at least. I actually kind of like the 48 volt steering. By wire stuff is really reliable. I've actually had electric by wire power steering for years it came on my '08 Ford as well
