Still, one that went after those oases on the horizon and through resilience, perseverance, whatever, stood taller, strived and conquered them. That guy is living the life I want. @Nikolas S perhaps, but as Dr. Peterson stated multiple times. The lack of responsibility and burdens to carry leads to a meaningless life. So, humanity will need to reorganize itself. let’s say all means of production and services were to be ran by A.I given they have the physiological forms to produce said tasks, what will humanity hold itself responsible for and how will the hierarchies establish themselves into these new categories of perceivably “esteemed works.”

It’s on the edge of my intelligence as there’s just an infinite amount of variables that apply to both evolutionary lineage and what constitutes collective consciousness.

when my life fell apart last year, I fell into dispair (the life of the martyr as he put it). I was nihilistic and felt like I had no purpose. Then I took on the responsibility of caring for my family who had been devastated my Corona-V. I went from doing what I wanted every day and little bills to pay to now having to pay nearly all the bills, the mortgage, and I do 3/4s of the cooking and cleaning to take care of my grandma. Now that I feel like I have purpose, my life is 'harder' but I feel like I'm here for a reason and that gnawing urge to self-delete myself has pretty much completely gone away. Its Thanks Giving here in Canada. I've sacrificed everything for nothing over the past 10+ years. I literally have nothing to show for it. Nothing to be grateful for. Not true. Maybe 1% of my life I can be. But the other 99% tells me why exist for pain and suffering? Nobody cares about nobody but themselves. That is true for all humans. And in our segregated culture we have now, nobody wants to build and maintain relationships. The Internet destroyed our Social Brains. And I'm just as guilty, as here I am, spending 12+ hours a day on the internet. There is no real world. Were all online. Were all cancer to each others Avatars.

Do you really want to believe that life is pointless and no matter how hard you work it still won't change your circumstances? Have faith. Read your Bible. Pay attention to your conscience. As long as you're still alive there is hope for the future. And in the end, even if it doesn't work and you die miserable and alone, you can look back and say "I did everything I could" and that's one hell of a thing. God bless you.

@@benjamingilmore7775 I've lived my life believing one day I will had kids of my own. Now I'm afraid that's an impossible thing. Not only due to my personal circumstances, but also in the way people are now. I won't 'date' a person if they have their phones at the table, or bring it with them too bed each day. Between me and them, and this world, it can all burn!

@@chrisklugh It will. But it will be God who chooses when, not I. Have you attended a Mennonite congregation recently? They eschew technology for community, and their daughters tend less towards being harlots than most. If you do chose to burn, please remember that Jesus Christ is capable of redeeming you from your mistakes and errors, even if they are insurmountable to you. Call on his name, ask him to forgive you, and what you can do to make life slightly less terrible for who you will be tomorrow. Every day is a chance to be made new. Please forgive me for my weakness in explaining this. It has taken a lot of sacrifice to begin to understand, and I have yet to master the art of communication.

Too late? Any time is enough time to do something - and wouldn't you want whatever you have left to make things better? If everyone in the world got one second of pure goodness, we'd get 3000 lifetimes of pure goodness.
And I'm sure we can all spare more than one second.

'....avoid doing what you knew you needed to do.'
wth does that mean? nobody knows what they need to do unless they have machine that can look 10 years into the future before they make every decision. JP makes a nice glee club pep talk here but nobody can avoid wasting most opportunities that come along, because every next decision you are faced with is a new opportunity....most people have 10 new opportunities every day one way or another.
part of or most of the anxiety of living is addressing every new opportunity with a choice and a decision....and never ever knowing whether the decision you made was good or less good or bad based on where your life ends up 10 years from now.
for example JP's own life might have been much more satisfactory and wealthier and less conflicted if he had chosen to be a board certified OB/GYN surgeon rather than a PhD lecturer.....maybe his own life has been mostly a wasted opportunity.

G-D speaks to the spirit, the mind, and the flesh: “Gird up now thy loins like a man; For I will demand of thee, and declare thou unto Me:
Where wast thou when I laid the foundations of the earth? Declare, if thou hast the understanding.
Who determined the measures thereof, if thou knowest? Or who stretched the line upon it? Or who laid the corner-stone thereof,
When the morning stars sang together, And all the sons of God shouted for joy?
The point of human consciousness is to know HASHEM intimately and to demonstrate His Character and His Ways of Love to each other. There is no greater love than that… except to lay your life down for someone else.

I know too many people, including me, who did take all the "opportunities" and lost way too much. It is like asking "What would happen if you invest your money in all the opportunities that are in front of you?". Ask Warren Buffet, you will loose it. It's essential to take opportunities, but also to research if they could lead to your target. And that are definitely not the opportunities "in front of you". At least not if you are at a place where you don't want to be.
Work hard, take opportunities, but also choose wisely.

The poverty claim isn't so true anymore unfortunately.
A few hundred million ppl have fallen back into poverty during covid basically.
But hey, a new billionaire emerged every 30hrs too, so that's good i guess...

Build a purpose for yourself so that you are not a lost cause anymore. You can squeeze more from life if you dedicate yourself to something. If you enjoy challenging ideas and if mastery and masculinity are subjects that interest you, I invite you to explore the videos I share on the Mastery Order Channel.
Challenge yourself with some ideas about manhood, explore your masculine potential to the maximum and become the kind of man you would admire.
We can only better ourselves together, as men among men, so I invite you to use what I share and, of course, share your own opinions so that others can benefit from them as well.
Looking forward to your points of view.
      All the best to you!
