- In addition to starring in the new movie Mister America, Tim Heidecker and Gregg Turkington are the masterminds behind the long-running film-review series On Cinema at the Cinema. So with the Academy Awards just a few months away, we recently sat down with Heidecker and Turkington to put their film expertise to work. We gave them a list of movies from 2019, pairing them up for the sake of debate, and asked the duo to give their predictions for the films that will score a coveted Best Picture nomination. Which movies do Tim and Gregg think will win Oscar gold? See their picks for yourself above.

He's not wholly inaccurate. In 1916 we had a revolution which resulted in a number of executions and kickstarted our war of independence. So, not completely right, but relatively close.

i honestly find almost every second of these guys doing the on-cinema act funny. there's just so many little things they do.

the point is for the act to be funny every single second? the build up to punch-lines in comedy are many times not funny at all, or even unpleasant. my point was that they exude humor almost every second through the constant suspension of their ridiculous act.
