Jiang Chen also loved Chen Xiaoxi to bits. 23rd episode explains it all. He had a rough childhood and he was overwhelmed when Xiaoxi loved him. He could never show it due to his tsundere nature. He loved her secretly while Wu Bosong showed his love. He was kinda right because it's just highschool and highschool relationships are hard to maintain. Chen Xiaoxi had feelings for Jiang Chen and she is loyal to him only. Wu Bosong called for the heartbreak himself. He knew that Chen Xiaoxi and Jiang Chen loved each other. He still wanted to use his chance. The conclusion is, it will be if it's meant to be ❤
This scene broke my heart watching the drama. Seeing all the buildup to that moment & then watching her heart shatter? Ouch.

Chinese version cannot be compared to korean one. It's original. I has given life to every character. It feels but korean seems to be a drama, part of act. Those who watch Chinese first will not feel korean one as they feel the Chinese version. It's best.

This is one of the most realistic drama. What I mean is the acting and plot are all natural. It feels so real to the point that I can feel the pain and happiness of each character.
This was the first series I watched after downloading Netflix and I enjoyed and cried every bit of it.
Chinese version ALSB is the reason why I am addicted in Cdrama since 2017.. and it's also the reason why I am very fan of shen Yue and Hu Yi tian until now!.... They are the first actor and actress that I loved the most!..

Jiang Chen character is supposed to be cold and aloof because of his childhood. Even in the book he is a tsundere, I don’t know why they are looking for emotions when the Korean version the main lead looks more clueless and smiling all the time. They should have followed more of the book than the Chinese version if they want to be more different.

people keep saying wu bosong deserves and i as someone who has watched this drama for probably the 100th time and read the novel too, just want to say, jiang chen deserves her even more because although he was young and had a hard time expressing his true feelings and end up hurting xiaoxi sometimes, he really truly loves xiaoxi with all his heart, even more than bosong did and even more xiaoxi loved him. and although he has many flaws, he kept improving himself so that he can be deserving of the love xiaoxi kept giving him endlessly since before so i think that jiang chen really deserves her more...also i'm pretty sure if wu bosong got her, they would've end up breaking-up somewhere in the future coz their type of relationship flourish more as a friendship than romance
