It was good the son was pretty awesome and a great husband but I always loved how even on the tiniest things her mil would give her son heck if she thought for a second he had done something to cause my friend a moment's irritation.
The mom was one of the major draws in Playful Kiss. This was the 1st hit Korean romance, at least for several years, that had the male leads mom play a major role that wasn't antagonistic. I am aware that is because it's based on an manga, but still It was a major divergence for Kdrama back in the day. I will say I'm talking about specifically the rich guy poor girl and/or genius guy stupid girl dramas. This drama is both.

When i watched it, i felt like they ended up together only because they were main leads. I have never hated a kdrama character as much as seung jo. But the drama was fun because of oh hani and her friend trio that's why i continued it.
Me who decided to confess after 3 years then I dumped him after 1 year (idk why I had a crush on him for 3 years) but I am not really sure if I made the right decisions

Seung jo never deserved ha ni... He never loved her really but got jealous when the girl who was behind him like a dog for years was leaving him... It was jungu who truly loved ha ni, he was never problematic and respected her unlike seung jo

They also released eunjo's perspective, what eunjo think about them and what eunjo knows about them, like eunjo said his hyung always cancelled everything he had for having time with hani like he said to his friend that he is busy at the phone and canceled it but the fact was he went out with hani. also his hyung always open their room' s window and sit near it, eunjo getting mad for that because thats make their room cold (at night), but seung jo ignored him (the fact that hani always open the window too, and then seung jo can hear everything from hani's room) eunjo also said his hyung smiling at card that hani gave and stared at that for long time and always open that box, and yeah keep everything hani gave to him, and ofcourse eunjo also knows it. Remember the scene when hani's computer didnt work while she completing the administration for the university? Eunjo looks mad to hani because at that time he asked something to his hyung but he ignored him, because he read book but when hani screaming and crying he suddenly jump as soon as possible to hani's room.
To be honest, most of the things Hani's dad mentioned about his daughter's flaws can be nurtured overtime. Cooking can be improved if Hani takes the time to learn about them. Everyone start from beginner into expert over the years. No one just becomes a professional chef or professional writer or whatever it may be overnight. Even something such as a troublemaker, she can grow and become more matured overtime too. Those things can be changed. One of the best things about life is that you get to grow and experience life itself with your partner, and in the process you both learn to grow, love and care for another, and just become a better person overall. The journey and memory are what makes it all worth it, not the destination itself.
I liked oh.. love this drama, but our lead is literally shown very dumb, you just get frustrated. And it's very true you like them in dramas. In real it does not happen so. But sure. Love to all.

I've watched this series many Times in Japan version and Korean version. I prefer the Korean version because the cast of Seung Jo and Oh Hani are so handsome and beautiful. The way they play their role and their every single expression are so cute and communicative.
I like this drama but there is a thing I hate about this drama which is that Hani 's whole life revolved around seung jo. Although she later developed interest in the job she did but she never tried to find herself, she took up nursing coz he was a doctor. I think the drama would have been better if Hang was shown as a girl who can take stand for herself and have her own dreams.
Yea but her dream is getting tgt wif seungjo and marrying him. It may seem futile or shallow but thats her happiness and wish. Hes her motivation and goal just like how shes his energizer.

I think a big part of Beak's appeal is his innocent looking face and that smile or smirk.Everytime he does something despicable to her,he smiles.When she ask him for help, he saids no first but ends up doing it any way.He even said that he doesn't know why he likes to tease her but he does.The part that shows how much he cares for her the most is when the pervert was about to reveal his naked body to her and Baek shield her eyes with his hands.He knew that this girl was absolutely innocent and she was not ready for that.He had to live with her everyday and he would be embarrassed for her to have seen that naked man.
I watched this series a long time ago, and even now it's aged well. A sweet fun watch with good consistent pacing, without the melodramatic tears that a lot of asian dramas resort to (which is a very annoying trait bc it's so fake.) this lead actress really made the show. correction, the mother was so funny too.

Boys Over Flowers gave me my first (and worst) second lead syndrome, and my love gets his redemption here.. and I get stuck with second lead syndrome ALL OVER AGAIN....
BSJ is the worst. It's a good thing Hani has great in laws, especially the mother in law to compensate for BSJ's nastiness. However, let's be real here. The adorable, sweet, innocent, good natured, loyal, and loving Hani doesn't deserve that bastard BSJ who was never considerate of her feelings even after getting married.

I really liked this series but only problem with it was....female lead had no strong character. She followed him for so many years even though he didn't give a single flyin duck about her. He liked he was being chased and she did chase for 90% of the series and it was really frustrating. Only if she grew some balls and slam his sorry ass for being so stuck up. Kdrama needs to portray more independent women who doesn't need man to feel complete.

I've watched this series many Times in Japan version and Korean version. I prefer the Korean version because the cast of Seung Jo and Oh Hani are so handsome and beautiful. The way they play their role and their every single expression are so cute and communicative.
I like this drama but there is a thing I hate about this drama which is that Hani 's whole life revolved around seung jo. Although she later developed interest in the job she did but she never tried to find herself, she took up nursing coz he was a doctor. I think the drama would have been better if Hang was shown as a girl who can take stand for herself and have her own dreams.

I think a big part of Beak's appeal is his innocent looking face and that smile or smirk.Everytime he does something despicable to her,he smiles.When she ask him for help, he saids no first but ends up doing it any way.He even said that he doesn't know why he likes to tease her but he does.The part that shows how much he cares for her the most is when the pervert was about to reveal his naked body to her and Baek shield her eyes with his hands.He knew that this girl was absolutely innocent and she was not ready for that.He had to live with her everyday and he would be embarrassed for her to have seen that naked man.
I watched this series a long time ago, and even now it's aged well. A sweet fun watch with good consistent pacing, without the melodramatic tears that a lot of asian dramas resort to (which is a very annoying trait bc it's so fake.) this lead actress really made the show. correction, the mother was so funny too.

I really liked this series but only problem with it was....female lead had no strong character. She followed him for so many years even though he didn't give a single flyin duck about her. He liked he was being chased and she did chase for 90% of the series and it was really frustrating. Only if she grew some balls and slam his sorry ass for being so stuck up. Kdrama needs to portray more independent women who doesn't need man to feel complete.
