I'm laughing pretty hard at the Pearl Jam guys on here complaining that they didnt play it exactly how it was originally written... have you ever seen Pearl Jam live? They jam, improvise, and re-work songs, a LOT. Pretty much throughout their live show, throughout their career since their first tour. So changing a few chords or a solo is actually very much in the spirit of a Pearl Jam song. And the fact that Eddie played this with them tells me that this cover is PJ approved. ;)

That was brilliant. The singer seems to have taken the MTV Unplugged version to heart. Some of the vocal mannerisms in his performance, I can recognize as mimicking (that's a very negative word, but I mean it positively) Vedder's delivery.

I never thought about the similarities between Pearl Jam and Gaslight Anthem cause they’re definitely different eras and different scenes but they share a lot of the same warmth
