Tribute to the Shield Hero - (Billy Kametz tribute)

Billy Kametz was not only an amazing Voice Actor but a shining light in our world and with his passing earlier this year the world is a little less awesome.
The character of Naofumi and his story of persecution always rang close to home to me and hearing Billy poor his heart and soul into this role made such an impact on me when I was going through a very difficult time in my life.
I was fortunate to get to meet and be in contact with Billy and his encouraging and uplifting personality were just some of the best examples of how to be a great person. He would always bring a smile to those around him and he loved every moment of every role he got to play no matter how big or small it was, the guy was just happy to be a part of the Anime community.
I am truly grateful to have gotten to know him and am truly grateful to have had the opportunity to make this tribute to both him and the role I believe he will be remembered for the most.
Thank You Billy for all your hard work, Thank you for being such an awesome person and bringing some many smiles to people's faces. You Will Truly Be Missed.
Be kind to one another, you never know when you'll have your last conversation with someone.

Very nice tribute. While I did not get the chance to meet Billy, I know his friendship and work meant a lot to you. Glad you got to show this to us and also to those closest to him during his event at AWA.

I know I'm extremely late to this disappointing news of his death I cried after watching this wonderful tribute knowing the one and only shield hero passed and gone to a better place he was and will forever be my favorite VA although i never had a chance to meet him he had so much talent and I'm sad he had to go so soon. R.I.P Billy otherwise known as the real shield hero

for a future convention, i'm thinking of cosplaying as naofumi as a tribute to billy kametz...of course at the same time i'm trying to get my sisters into rising of the shield hero so that when i do this i can have them dress up as raphtalia and filo, to complete the cosplay

Can you do couple more tribute to Jason David Frank aka Tommy Oliver, the original Green Ranger from MMPR, please? I'm sure you heard the news of his death and along with Kevin Conroy, the voice actor of DC's Bruce Wayne aka Batman from Batman TAS.

who ever replace him will most likely do a good job but it will not be the same. i dont know how invested kamets was in his characters but i feel even just reading the lines of what naufumi had to go trough would have made an impact. im scared that it will not be present in his replacement and the character will not feel as real. kamets did an awesome job bringing naufumis voice to life and he will be missed...

Amazing tribute, Speedy! When I heard of Billy's sickness and eventual passing, it hit me hard, too. He was a PARAGON in the voice acting community, and it's hard to see someone like him go so soon. I know he's resting peacefully now and, like me, he'd be damn well proud of this tribute. (This was also one of my favorites from AWA this year) Gr8 work, R.I.P., Billy Kametz 🙏😢👍😭🙏
