I currently use a FIFINE T669 as my starter mic. It is a USB mic which I kind of run into the same issue as in have to turn my gain a little under half way down to get it to where the sound is good. The mic actually seems to do well for voice over though I am recording out of my closet cuz that's the only sound proof area I can really do. Maybe eventually I can save up for a sound booth that's the dream haha. I've never tried the Blue Yeti. Your Lewitt sounds amazing but I know your model is around $700 haha just a tad steep. You ever tried any of the other Lewitt models?
The Lewitt mics are pretty much all high quality it’s just the levels they vary by. You could probably pic up a 540 second hand for about 4-500 but yeah that still not the easiest access when you are just starting out
@@CrownStagVoiceover Thanks, I assume by levels you mean the lvl of noise generated by the mic along with the sensitivity of the mic? My only fear with a really good mic such as that is I'm recording out ofnmy closet which does block out a lot of sound but more than likely not nearly as much as a sound booth haha
So the levels / gains are down as low as they go because you are going to be close to the mic and it’s capable of picking up people around a large conference table so it’s sensitive. The other element is because it’s a usb mic it generates it’s on electrical sounds internally which get picked up.
@@CrownStagVoiceover I guess what I am asking is if I pick up a really good mic like one of the high end mics and I am not in a very sound proofed area it will probably pick up too much background noise I would assume? So I guess another question would be whats the best way to currently analyze my closet setup lol and tell how good it's actually sound proofed? Forgive me if that's a dumb question. I'd assume you can look at the background noise being picked up but wasn't sure if there's anything else I should take into consideration
By the way, your voice is very pleasant, although I don't understand English so well, I understood everything with this voice and accent without any problems. Thank you very much :)
Really? I couldn't tell at all. I figured you buggered the word up reading from a script and swapped the two letters when reading it. Not poking fun at all. Video was A+

Thank you so much for the valuable information.
My pleasure

The best mix in the world will sound terrible in a poorly treated space. Do you use reaper?
