I am obsessively seeking burgundy. Today i thrifted a Lands End v-neck burgundy T-shirt, and a real silk leopard button up blouse to wear open over it. They will be the base of my Thanksgiving outfit, with black jeans, black belt, burgundy suede shoes, burgundy handbag and gold bangle bracelets. I even have a garnet ring. Can't wait!
@@TheNicoliyah the cool thing is, I was checking the Land's End website for their supima cotton Ts, and they aren't even offering burgundy right now. And they run $35. I got mine for $8! 😊
I just wanted to say thank you for the upbeat videos. I enjoy your content and your pleasant personality. Even when I don't agree with every suggestion, I still enjoy your overall vibe. You are a breath of fresh air!!
Like finding my own style I have also found the women that speak to me. After following too many on social media I have narrowed it down to two and you are definitely one of them. Love your videos and fashion advice! Thank you
I adore brown. I love mixing different browns with each other and with other colors like you have done here. I just wore brown and burgundy yesterday. It looked fabulous and I got a lot of compliments. I also love how in one of your other videos you talked about tonal dressing- to go in your closet and try to create outfits using items from the same color family. I have been having lots of fun and lots of luck with this!
What should I wear for Thanksgiving? I have a black leather pleated short skirt, black see through tights, black Docs and an ivory cable knit crew neck sweater OR a leopard print maxi skirt with black boots and a black off the shoulder long sleeve shirt. I love the first one, but white sweaters make me look bigger in pictures. Anyway, interesting idea for a video! I always need ideas for holiday wear. Thanks!
Wow I just put together a black and brown outfit for tomorrow before I watched this video. I 'm wearing my leopard shoes which look great with it. Love your color combinations.
Great video! I have burgundy pants (Old Navy) with a Quince cashmere burgundy V neck sweater. I have a brown satiny blouse (Banana Republic) and brown knit tops that look great with black, or cream denim or pants or my light brown pants. And yes.. these colors all need accessories, jewelry, and great shoes!🤎🤍🖤. Beautiful colors on a cat too!😺
Love BROWN w Tan, Beige, black, rust, and teal. I DON’T like silk or satin pants- very unflattering on most ppl, but I DO like silk /satin shirts & tops.
Unlike black with navy, I really like black with brown. I usually brighten it with an, ideally, true white top, or an ivory one - usually all I can find in winter fabrics. I feel my best in a white or light-colored top, dark colors, especially black, don’t flatter me. I have a blazer with a white background and a black and brown pattern, it’s perfect for this combo. I would love to find a dark brown skirt for this look, most only come in cognac brown, which I already have. When I do wear a black dress or top, I lighten it with a white collared and cuffed shirt underneath, with these details exposed. Alternately, pearl jewelry and/or a white or light-colored based scarf, these options are better for warmer weather when I don’t want layers. I also wear some rosy blush and lipstick, and possibly undereye concealer, which I don’t normally. (Sunscreen only is my daily routine).
Love this video and all the many combinations. Only ine I would hesitate either is grey and brown. Suede anything is my favorite and love love burgandy and brown, burgandy and grey. Different browsers together or brown and biege and brown and black is v stylish I agree.❤❤❤❤❤
Hey Anna, it would be fun if you could also do a colour video on how to wear bold and bright colours in fall aand winter. I just figured out my colour season (warm spring) and I'm now experimenting with lighter brighter colours instead of dark fall colours, which is super fun and uplifting too
Okay you've got me motivated I'm going to go through my closet right now and just pull all the browns, creams and greens and burgundy's out and put them on a rack.. then experiment
Thank you very much dear Anna, we had a very nice Sunday afternoon watching your video ❤️. Hurray, now I know with what I can pair my sweater I dyed brown last Sunday! You look absolutely adorable in everything you are wearing. Not only this Sunday. Leonie, Plush Lilly and I your Klevendeich Fanclub are much looking forward to seeing you next time. Such nice styling inspiration! Btw. Lilly wears black with a small white dot beneath her chin and Plush pencil grey and white 🤭.
I love burgundy and wear it every autumn/winter. However, I never wear it with grey because it reminds me of my school uniform which was burgundy blazer and grey skirt
I was looking at clothes options and keep hearing/reading "expensive" being used as a descriptor. Never heard that before. I've grown up with CLASSIC, ELEGANT, SOPHISTICATED, SPORTY, CASUAL, and RELAXED. Polished applied to each. Not sure who dreamed up using "expensive" but it sounds like something used to describe an escort.
Red and brown….I once had an assistant principle that had a red pant suit that she wore a dark brown blouse and shoes with. It was stunning. Being a black lady with gorgeous light brown skin only added to her already lovely appearance. Even though I am a pale white person I have worn red and brown together and had very positive results.
This video is great, thank you; enjoyed that. I know you told us in an earlier video where you got those (sideways) "H" belts from, but i cannot find it... Aren't they designer-suggestive from amazon? Anyone know? Much thanks!!! Have a great week.
@annareid, love the video as always! Looks like you have some almond toe maryjanes on at about minute 1:38-- what brand are they? can you provide link? xoxo
I love your style and personality and i learn a lot from your channel. But i am often dissapointed when i click on a link and it leads me to a $200 cardigan. I would love if you made a video on affordable clothing that is good quality. Or a thrifting video which if really good for the environment.
I so wish I could wear brown and any shade thereof including cream, oatmeal, chocolate etc - I have silver/white hair and I am cool toned, every time I try a shade in this palette, I look awful, like kinda unwashed or dirty…….i wish I could master this look but I’ve given up! I am almost 55
Nice all around but of all things I was kind of surprised at how good the navy top and gray slacks looked because I don't recall ever having seen that combo to be honest. As to browns, tans, blacks I think as long as there is enough of an offset they work well together but if too dark and nearly blending then it defeats that purpose. Oh, and yes, you definitely covered using three-tone looks with certain color blends that work well in at least one of your reviews but I'm not certain if that was the main topic or a subcategory in a larger review.
anna with your coloring black paired with brown is “ok” but as Melissa Murrell and some other stylists say, it’s probably better to pair with your best white or ivory near your face ( base layer / white / ivory/ ecru/ oyster/ ) whichever white suits you. I find black very serious and intense and honestly hard to style. I don’t think most with Spring and even some Autumns should steer clear of black 💗 The right browns for your coloring are awesome tho🎉
I love all the ideas of mixing colors. . Unfortunately someone with dark skin complexion as my self. . Some colors are just not a go for us. Like the browns and camels. Maybe as a bottom color but definitely not for a top.
I don’t like white top or light beige with black pants because you end up looking like catering staff / a waiter 😂 also read a tip about looking lean and tall - always pair a darker shade on the top half with lighter colors below. It really does lengthen you. If you look at side by sides you’ll see how lighter tops w darker bottoms widen and shorten your whole body. I’m 5’1” so it really matters for me lol.
I see what you’re saying but it doesn’t depends on a person proportions. You want to put the dark colors where you want to minimize and vice versa ❤️❤️
@ that’s the hard part! You’d think dark goes on bottom if you want to minimize your hips and yes that works for just the hips but overall looking at the whole body it always works best to keep darker shades on top , just an optical illusion 🙂
Naw, I get bored with neutrals and classic combos because I've done most of them to death lol. Wearing the same clothing combinations can also be boring over time. Playing around with textures and layering can make neutrals way more interesting. Colors too. Also unexpected color combinations or combinations you don't wear/see often. Yesterday I wore an orange shirt jacket with feather fringe sleeves and a darker orange midi dress, knee-high chocolate brown boots, two gold necklaces layered, gold hoop earrings, and several gold bangles on each wrist. Accessories, I agree, make outfits way more interesting. I'm an accessory queen, though, so that comes naturally to me, whereas for others it doesn't come as naturally. Some color combos I'm excited to try/wear are burgundy and blush, burgundy and light blue or powder blue, burgundy and shades of red amongst others. Been over grays. I've worn that combination a lot throughout my youth and young adulthood, especially with blues, denim, and black. I do like the look of grays with metallic silver or bronze. Another exciting look would be to don grays especially charcoal with different metallics ( silver, gold, and bronze) for a play on mixed metals.
I really dislike the color brown. 😆 Beige, cream, camel or ivory that lean too yellow are also a no. Black, white, grey, navy and burgundy are my colors. I love carrying a colorful handbag to add a pop of color. I have 1 black handbag and 0 brown. 😁
One thing you forgot to mention is that there are two different hues of brown: a yellow brown and a red brown. People with yellow skin tones look great in yellow brown but if you have cool skin tones like me yellow brown looks terrible. I wear reddish browns in winter and it looks rich and pretty.
Ohhhh....neutrals are so tasteful but also boring. Some of us love color. I like mixing bright colors with neutrals so they are not so depressing. Pink and gray Lime green and navy Turquoise and brown Peach and cream Burgundy and navy. Burgundy is an actual color! Looks beautiful. This is why I am not an influencer....
Too much brown, ivory, and beige. Please remember those colours make some of us look jaundiced. I think it would be possible to make a video such as this with both cool and warm colour palettes.
No one should take fashion advice from someone living in Florida, or other places like Arizona. Unless you live in such a place that caters to hot bods or snowbirds. Style is initiated by designers from street style. Youth. People who walk on the streets. Not drive their car or golf cart everywhere…in a place with 4 seasons. I’ve listened to this wiman. She is talking to Floridians. Though burgundy and brown in Florida also seems very incongruent.
@hannahrobertson1397 yep. As consumers, we really need to be more mindful about the products we buy. I think it's a shame that certain influencers promote these materials knowing how it harms animals
Gray and burgundy absolutely a match made in heaven. It will literally scream elegance.
I agree with all of these color combos! My Aunt who has passed away always recommended brown and black!!! Spot on back in the day!
Your aunt was very fashion forward! 😍😍
I agree with you about burgundy and gray. I also love burgundy and navy.
Burgundy and navy is adorable 🥰
❤️❤️❤️
Yes! Love burgundy and cream or ivory as well.
Fantastic video,I love neutrals and I will never get tired of them

Yes a different take on combining leopard and red. Good idea
The sweater color you are wearing is very beautiful on you!
Thank you so much! ❤️❤️

I thought I was the only one who liked beige and brown! It’s the color combination I wore to church today. I thought it looked snazzy!
Love!! It’s so good. It also represents some of my favorite things like coffee and chocolate and I’ve cream lol
I wish we could post pictures on TH-cam because suddenly I want to see your snazzy church outfit 😍. Haven’t heard the word “snazzy” in a minute 😂

Morning Anna, I love brown and black together and also navy and grey. Beautiful combos.
I could never be tired of black. Love black 🖤 the most brown I have is in a leopard print. 😅
Haha I feel like you’re not alone in that! ❤️❤️
Loved seeing all the combinations!
Glad you enjoyed them! ❤️
Wow I just put together a black and brown outfit for tomorrow before I watched this video. I 'm wearing my leopard shoes which look great with it. Love your color combinations.
That sounds beautiful!
Great video! I have burgundy pants (Old Navy) with a Quince cashmere burgundy V neck sweater.
I have a brown satiny blouse (Banana Republic) and brown knit tops that look great with black, or cream denim or pants or my light brown pants.

lol yes!! ❤️❤️🐱
Love BROWN w Tan, Beige, black, rust, and teal.
I DON’T like silk or satin pants- very unflattering on most ppl, but I DO like silk /satin shirts & tops.
Olive Green YES please looks lovely on you ! your jumper I'd call Rust yum.
Olive is such a great Fall color! ❤️
I love those chocolate brown silk pants
Such a great shade of brown! ❤️

I have burgandy pants but now I'm having trouble finding things to wear with them so this has been very helpful, thank you :)
Aw good! I also love burgundy with off white I didn’t mention that in the video ❤️
My guest bedroom comforter, covered headboard, etc is brown with accents of burnt orange. Love living it and wearing it❤❤❤
Oooo love that! ❤️❤️
Thanks! I’m going to try my brown pants with my burgundy sweater! Wish me luck!😊
I’d love to see a video on styling black. Especially all black.
10:07 😂 lol I love you ❤
Brown everything 🤎
Hi Anna! can you post your measurements? it really helps with sizing !🎉
I need to take them again I am out of town but will do so soon thank you! ❤️ I am 5’6

Love burgundy and greens! Does anyone ever tell you that you look like Maria Menounos? You remind me of her ☺️
She’s so pretty!! I definitely take that as a compliment 😍
Great video! What are the bags that you are wearing ?
Black is too harsh for my colouring, if I’m honest, but I still have quite a bit of it, because it’s just such a good year-round foundation!
Yea it’s so easy! ❤️❤️

I love red with brown much better than red with black. Wearing red with black is too predictable and is very harsh-looking for my coloring.
Love those colors together! Something about the red paired with brown brings out both colors so lovely ❤️

Sorry but cashmere is a no for me. It's very cruel to animals:(
Agree! Ever since I know how it is obtained, I steer clear from it.
So buy it used.
