My first full piece composed in Dorico, after almost ten years of using Finale. And the longest a 90-second snippet has taken me in a while. I tried to match the blend of sci-fi and fantasy aesthetics so beautifully achieved in the original artwork, ending up with a mix of orchestra, synth, and effects in Bb harmonic minor (of course). The trumpet is live-recorded (and somehow the VST in the mock-up sounded more realistic).

Sequenced in Dorico and MuseScore. Mixed in Ableton Live.

I've listened to a lot of these and you would be one of MY finalists! Anyways, I got a new composer challenge coming up in a few days. Would you be interested? You could definitely use the trumpet. It's going to be superhero themed 🦸‍♂️
